I don't know, but it makes me think there might be a clue in the clone wars series. I enjoyed the latest episode.

They do scale nicely, what a fortunate occurrence.

Great episode. Does anyone know who that cool bad guy was on Mandalore? Lol. And she saves him enough times , he's gonna be her squire. Otherwise plenty of action!- 1438 replies

I thought the same. Stop motion style. -
So here's a picture of the magnetized ordinance selection. And another picture for an idea of scale . They come in a variety of sizes, of course. I believe these are 3mm diameter and 1mm thick. I simply glued the magnets to the underside of the VF-4 in the appropriate locations. But ideally i would have slightly drilled the location points the appropriate diameter. The magnets on the VF would then be flush (or close enough) . That really keeps them in place and they rarely pop off, once they're recessed., and it looks better. I also would've done all this before painting. But I was asleep at the wheel..

Cool. It looks like your backpack needs to be flipped up., in battroid mode.

Hey thanks @wm cheng ! In that image you are not seeing magnets. But rather custom spacers i slipped onto the bandai pylon pegs. I eventually cut those off so as to snug up the pylons and make it look right. I did decide to do magnets, (that's funny you ask) after the last load out swap, as I suddenly wasn't certain i liked the rearrangement. This will contribute to the eventual diorama, wherein the handling and fastening of ordinance by deck crew will be featured. Applying magnets are very easy. I started using them on my Warhammer 40k builds for the same purpose (load out swap). I purchased several different sizes on eBay. They are quite small (like tiny coins) and perfect for this application. I will post some pics later tonight. Cheers

Thanks. I've got waterslides of all those in 1/72 and 1/48. There's actually a 3rd print design too, I've yet to see on a model or toy. I'm just trying to dredge up the (in universe) backstory to these variants. If there is one ( maybe in the corresponding Model graphix Macross Archive book?) I'm thinking there's either a Paris district or club on the Megaroad-01. More and more, just based off the " One Night In Paris 2013 " print. Granted, this is all unofficial, Hasegawa deculture. -
Just a quick check in. Made a little more progress on the Super Lancer. Some of these older water slides are showing their age and pissing me off. It's ok though. A few key elements to tackle, and we'll be getting close to deployment. Thanks for zooming by.! See you Spacy Cowboys next Deculture ๐ซ

This is a better way of saying what I suggest earlier. From the perspective of someone who's been collecting Macross for years , and then slimming down that collection, the above statement also really comes into play. Yup. I know my son will love some of my collection, but not nearly all of it. Some will go into my funeral pyre. Hopefully the rest will go to an appreciative home before it all turns yellow (and even so!). Anyone that wants to continue or begin to collect Macross, and is on a budget, just has to be the patient hunter. I've scored many a good deal on this forum. And a few other places. -
