Looks great! @Urashiman enjoy this time together! My son and i have built many HG Gundam kits together, since he was a wee lad. But it's difficult to get his ass to the workbench, now that he's 13 and more of a Gamer

I'm usually a sucker for the OG SW trilogy on the big screen.- 22 replies

Playing around w shipping different items on hlj. It's all expensive bad. I just ended up shipping with the small packet option all my decals , a few smaller items and my Hasegawa Milia 639 . That was about two weeks ago. Still haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. I know it's because they're back logged and expanded their warehouse space, but it's still a little bit frustrating. It really is ! Mercy Rabbit did an excellent job on that one. Sadly, i have no idea when I'm going to be able to afford shipping the majority of my Hasegawa Macross kits. I suppose i'll whittle away at it after the holidays. I don't want to be paying storage fees for all this stuff in the new year. That's gonna feel like my wallet is bleeding out.

But... it's the SAME model...

Hbo/max , aside from a few shows, has been quite the dud, imo. Whoever gets it, hopefully will infuse it w more content that's worthy.

I watched the Empire Strikes Back when it came back to the big screen during the pandemic . Four of us had the theater to ourselves, it was awesome. Lately I've been going to the theater during weekday matinee and that's also been a similar experience. Seeing A N H as a "newly restored version of the classic" Might be worth seeing..- 22 replies

Yup. Love it! @Thom don't we tho?

Great job @wm cheng ! Mad skilz Some kits don't need any improvements out of the box , just to build them, as you know. But you picked a "help me!" Kit

So is that the 1/72 Hasegawa regult? -
Lol. Nice! I caught some dungeness yesterday and we had some with our turkey today.

Wow. I love that box art!

I didn't say the Hase was better. Just not hot garbage Minmei made me do it!
-
I don't agree that the Hasegawa version is "garbage ". More articulation is nice , but I'm only really getting this for Minmei.
-
Looks good. Twice the cost of the Hasegawa version. Ouch.

Funny, now that you mention it, i still really like my 1/65 versions too. They're so simple and nice. And infinitely swoosh able. There's some nostalgia there too.

Very cool! Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with. I'm elbow deep in several kits now.

I would think a modified Glaug would be ideal. -

From what i remember, the eyes were actually bigger but got reduced a bit for the final cut. I hope #2 happens.
