    Haha. Yes there is! People love that sh**! SD’s have been around Japan a long time and are much loved ,from what I can tell. Many others , from other parts of the globe, seem to love them as well. For my part, I’m in your camp. Don’t care for them one bit.

    Agreed. Though, I will say I liked it, if only for being so thought provoking, as well as liking the animation. Good on you @kajnrig for taking the time to add more insight and summation concerning certain plot points. As I had said before, there were certain elements I did not care for. You addressed them.

    Dune is quite a lofty story. Very much liked the David Lynch version. Fingers crossed for this one..

    Just finished watching the 3rd Godzilla installment. The Planet Eater. There were certain elements i did not care for. Such as the notion that advancing technologically eventually leads to our destruction.. nevertheless , i did enjoy the series overall. And i like the animation style very much.

    Stan Getz would be happy to hear that! I liked the music from Frontier more, perhaps I should give Walkure another shot.. I never made the connection that the music didn’t fit well (as well as Frontier)with Delta. If any money is being spent to develop Something Macross this way comes, perhaps they should let Kawamori run Wild.

    It seems as if the musical aspect of Delta is still making money and keeping fans engaged(with the music and idols). Though not necessarily with the rest of the story. Music , mecha and Love triangles. Rinse and repeat!

    The YF-19/21 were the first variable fighters to use the pin point barrier system, yes? There’s very little technical data on the VF-31’s , but I’m assuming the pin point system is standard now, since, as far as I can tell, all other variable fighters have been using this system since the YF-19/21 generation. As a side note, I never realized the pin point barrier technology allowed the VF-19 Excalibur to transform much more quickly than any other variable fighter of its time..except for the VF-22, I’m assuming.

    I’ve really enjoyed the last several episodes, you guys have done. Thanks Gwyn and everyone!! Really found myself engaged in the “what is anime” topic. It’s very interesting how opinions differ. I found myself agreeing and disagreeing all over the place ,as well.. Most notably, didn’t agree that the Animatrix isn’t anime, Lol. But that’s why we all have different opinions! I take it , hastily mentioned at the end, the consensus is that Afro (Samuel) Samurai is not Anime..

    Saw this last night. It was my girlfriends idea. I never really considered it , DC movies have been more than disappointing . But this was very well done. Great on the big screen and fully engaging.

    Love the VF-11. Still amongs my coveted VF’s! Im surprised they never bothered with a VF-11 Master file before. Its true , the latest Master dukes have not been very remarkable. Curious to see how this will turn out.

    In regards to Richard Bilrer, owner of SMS. He is also the founder of SMS? It is suspected he is one of the 23 Zentradi defectors during the first space war..is this because he has an image of Lynn Minmay in his fold quarts ring, or is there additional evidence in frontier ,or somewhere else to support this theory? Also, he must have a Zentradi name , no? Richard is an Earth name..

    Might be a bit much for a four year old. Best rewatch and decide before you scare her. I thought my 6 year old could handle .. Lol.

    “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” That concept was first written in Sanskrit 4th century BC.. “if Hitler invaded Hell, I would make at least a favorable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons” Winston Churchill said that just before Germany was to invade the Soviet Union In a fair amount of the worlds eyes, The U.S. is evil.. But we can debate such concepts as good and evil and the PERCEPTION of such concepts all day.. maybe Kawamori is too busy on other projects..

    Just to catch up here..in the 80’s marvel did a 10 issue mini series called Secret Wars. A god -like being known as the “Beyonder” was pondering who would win , if the all out battle for good vs evil was fought..so.. He(**) gathered all of Earths hero’s and villains and put them on a planet with nothing but them(or so they thought) each side had a base of operations too. Anyway, THIS is where Spider-Man found the parasite that would later be venom. At first it gave him greater powers and he was now sporting the very cool looking (let’s face it, the 80’s needed it..!) all black suit with the white spider logo. Most know the rest of Spider-man’s ongoing adventures on Earth, after the Secret Wars. And how he eventually got rid of the parasite, as it had been slowly trying to control him and reveal its true nature.. So when the parasite later found Eddie and became Venom, the white spider logo remained imprinted..
