Thanks for the clarification. Meanwhile Galaxy Fleet is still out there somewhere supposedly ...running rogue? i recall those disembodied voices plotting while we just see the vastnes of space, it really came across as otherworldly entities. Hence my thoughts turned to AI.. And grace seemed purely robotic in the end and not just an enhanced human..

Ok I've looked in this topic a bit and I can't surf all 119 pages..I've also searched several key words and topics.. Just how were the AI enties from Galaxy fleet able to get so powerful ? And how was it they were even created? After the events of Macross Plus, I would have imagined the "powers that be" would have many measures in place to prevent such a thing.. just point me in the right direction if you don't have the patients to go over this (again?) i went down the Macross compendium worm hole but there didn't seem to be enough info. Or I wasn't looking in the right place.. And maybe it's time to do a rewatch of Frontier. Although that particular plot point doesn't seem to REALLY come to light until much later in the series.. Thanks for any info..

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Bolt replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just finished Titanfall 2 for the second time. I love that game. Infinite warfare combined with armored core! my only complaint is that it could have been a longer game , but I think it was a good call not to drag it on too long, also. Overall very satisfying and I will play it again on the very hard difficulty now.- 6756 replies

I haven't seen a release date anywhere but the production crew are mostly all Hensen collaborators, including the original conceptual designer. It's going to be worthy , I think.

This isn't breaking news but it IS something I'm looking forward to. with a ton of creative talent , and the budget Netflix can bring forth, I am expecting all 10 episodes to satisfy. I just hope the writers they've chosen can pull it off..

Nice model. Takes me back..I want one! BUT- with the few hints and teasers we've gotten about Megaroad-01 , I can see the next series trying to add up some of what we've seen and heard , but only as it relates to a new story in the current timeline. C'mon man, the 35 anniversary should give some satisfaction, weather we like it or not , and homage to the story that started it all so long ago..! They don't have to reveal too much to pull this off..

I know it's been speculated but I don't recal if we know just how many years or months this will take place after Delta..? or before..? -

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
Bolt replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
Concerning the next series and its direction, I feel it will certainly lay out a vector on where the powers that be are going with it all.. which ultimately doesn't matter to me, unless they stop making Macross stories. I'm a fan since 1984 and a "westerner". Macross , as well as most anime , for me has not been what I would have it be, after all these years, oh so true! But I have never stopped loving Macross or anime and will continue to gobble it up. The models and toys are simply awesome and the art is epic! I've always been in it for the long haul. So let us share more tidbits about what's coming next and sit back and enjoy.. -
Got mine today. Everything looks great. Easy build. Good job JasonC. Your work is fantastic and you are a gentleman. CHEERS!

Macross Δ (Delta) Movie Gekijō no Walkūre (Passionate Walkure)
Bolt replied to no3Ljm's topic in Movies and TV Series
Very interesting. It worked. I guess the very big difference also , I think, is in most Macross series' it always feels like a watered down, bubble gum portrayal of war. Which, again, is probably apropriate(?) considering the Japanese fan base/age . I will be waiting patiently, as always, to see what this Delta movie is going to do for the overall story thus far.- 810 replies

Macross Δ (Delta) Movie Gekijō no Walkūre (Passionate Walkure)
Bolt replied to no3Ljm's topic in Movies and TV Series
Is this true? i too wonder about the drive to please the mainstream Japanese audience . part of my misconception is not fully realizing how mainstream Macross is! duh! but so is Gundam, (of course!) so why do I like thunderbolt so much?? another rhetorical...- 810 replies

Macross Δ (Delta) Movie Gekijō no Walkūre (Passionate Walkure)
Bolt replied to no3Ljm's topic in Movies and TV Series
I wonder what the majority of Japanese fans want? Or if that Matters even. Culturally speaking, most here are looking for the same thing. Some would argue it isn't cultural. That its basic storytelling that needs to be executed. Why wasn't any of this an issue in 1984? haha , rehtorical.- 810 replies

Macross Δ (Delta) Movie Gekijō no Walkūre (Passionate Walkure)
Bolt replied to no3Ljm's topic in Movies and TV Series
A movie sequel would be an opportunity to bring it all around. But probably wouldn't stand alone without viewers having seen the tv series.. im afraid of a recycled attempt with a cameo shot of the new variant..again .- 810 replies

New Macross TV Series in 20xx (sometime this decade)
Bolt replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
Well. It's always good when we get more Macross, of course. I imagine this is going to be Delta related. I can't imagine them taking any chances and going in a different direction with the new series. Oh well. Speculate..speculate .. Those of us that have been at this for decades often fantasize about all the overturned stones left along the way . Oh, the thinks you can think ! But the series deals with the current fan base usually. Which perpetually hovers in the tween/teen market.. That's why I love Plus and Zero. And so, every series and OVA can be picked apart all day, but it just comes down to opinions . Let the party begin! -

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
Bolt replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Haha Boba Fett is the best! Any how, I own TFA and I'll definitely be owning R1. As much as we debate and split hairs, we're all slurping it up. I saw TFA 3 times in the theater and R1 twice already.. -
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
Bolt replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I did enjoy TFA for its quality action and sci-fi. Great visuals. But yes I was disappointed by the obvious rehashing that it was. I do think that it could become a better movie with the showing of episodes 8&9 filling in the obvious holes. And I do expect episodes 8&9 to be better. One other reason I'll mention TFA was a disappointing chapter is because it completely killed and voided the expanded universe without any doubts. For anyone who's been reeding the tales of Star Wars for the last 20 years, say good by.. I think R1 comes across as made by someone who wanted to tell a good Star Wars story focused on the ones that didn't get away and didn't get to watch the rebel fleet ride off into the pink nebula... i think they did a pretty good job.
