Bandai is definitely crushing it..
-
It does look really good, I’ll give it that. But I’m keeping my 1/48 collection SMALL. Too many scales already!
-
Line art accurate, super poseable , nice tampo, good transformation, very Collectable...Rare versions such as VF-2s, Regults, destroids, etc, etc. Oh ya, and looks and handles better than anything close to that scale.. And Bandai wants your money!
-
I feel the same now. I don’t care who dies next, in fact maybe everyone should.. except for Chewie..

Haha, @jenius said “maybe a toynami..” At least they’re cheap , poseable and playable without exploding apart in your hands. (I’m highlighting the high points here)
-
Honestly, I wouldn’t get one, unless I was going to customize it and glue it in position. I hate to say it, but it’s truly not fun to handle or transform. The only one I kept is for my 6 year old! The v2’s rock ( definitely check out the above links) but they are not cheap.. (Cheap being a relative term..)
-
The V1’s are quite dated. Floppy as all hell. I hope you’re getting it for CHEAP.
-
Just got my VF-4 today. Thanks @Corrinald ! Sute enough, there’s a few minor blemishes. No big deal , but, I think avoidable.. Transformation was fun!
-
Considering how many have just arrived, and more to come, and the defects or sloppy ness, it sounds like a production rush was happening. This is just our neck of the woods , let alone in Japan..

Some of my favorite Valkyrie’s.

I’d like to see another flat black anniversary VF!

That creature on the left background is very dorky...

It’s a call back to an 80’s garage kit Kawamori did the artwork for.. Courtesy of @Tochiro http://www.decultureshock.com/the-vf-4-and-the-curious-case-of-the-sdf-018/

One must buy the comics to find out , of course. Let it finally be over! ( never thought I’d say that..)

One more thing that came to mind , concerning the Mauler RÖ-2A Twin abeam Cannon Pack.. ”The loadable gas capacity for the laser is limited to 8 times, and after exhausting the shots, the Valkyrie has no choice but to distance itself from the battlefield. Also, because the RÖ-2A cannot be aimed precisely, it cannot also be used for anti-aircraft uses.” I can recall once where Roy Fokker was using the Mauler in an anti aircraft capacity to give the beat down on the nousjadeul-ger that were in the process of capturing Hikaru, Minmay, etc. in the rings of Saturn. In fact it’s the first shot we see him take ( “hey Hikaru, making trouble again?”) and again he fires it several more times, effectively, during that scene. (He’s also firing his gun pod , as well) This must attest to his skill as he was maneuvering his VF-1S quickly and precisely enough to pull this off.

From waaaay over here on the west coast, it seems like the YF-21 design isn’t so popular in the land of the rising sun..wah.

That is quite beautiful. -
This would be awesome to attend!

Haha ..ya. One of mine ended up on the auction block..1/48 VF-1A/D conversion from many years back..
-
Isn’t that 1/60 ish? In reference to Frontier & Delta you mentioned..
-
Why not? Yamato did it. And we know Bandai is too big to fail..
-
Beautiful work!
