At least he actually died fighting..unlike old man Skywalker who pulled the ole force projection trick (admittedly the most powerful force trick I’ve seen in SW..)

I was lucky enough to get a boot leg copy of DYRL when I was 16 on vhs. It was grainy and , of course, had zero translations. But it was next level for me. Personally I preferred DYRL paint schemes as , to me, they looked more sophisticated & realistic . I’m sure the animation quality had something to do with it. And seeing the strike package on Fokkers VF was BOMBA. Also seeing the VF-1S in red and black was pretty sweet.. I was already buying the toys and models at swap meets and already had the 1/55 VT Ostrich ( wish I still did!)..

I think I remember the battroid slinging the gunpod and sliding the fuselage onto the arm with no apparent attachments. Good times..

Well. At least Shadow Chronicles was a completed project and could be judged as such. I enjoyed visiting it when it first came out and seeing some bit of continuation.. But by modern standards , yes it fell short. But, honestly, it was still the best RT project to come out of the HG maelstrom since. At least Mark Hamill was in it.. The cup is half full..

As far as I know, this is the only instance of this happening with the VF-4 Lightning. Most of what I’ve seen and heard are paint and glue blemishes, with the occasional missing or same side parts snafu.. The VF-4 in particular can be fun to transform . Be sure to check out the transformation vid on any moon.com if you want a good run down.
