It is rather head scratching why they do this. My guess is the non PF version are for those with time and skill to get theirs at a “better” price, while the PF’s are for those with more money than time (and skill)

I Guess , that’s always been my impression too, from way over here. Right away Arcadia seemed to veer off the Yamato model of higher production runs. Arcadia certainly isn’t running the usual program..

Is there any reason to really think so? For whatever reason, Yamato had to stop. If Arcadia hadn’t risen from the ashes, that would have been that . Arcadia certainly could be susceptible to closing down. But still, are there any warning signs yet? Are there many shelf warmers , they’ve produced so far? Is the cost of their products going down on the secondary market? I don’t know. They seem solvent to me.

As mentioned, Bandai did Alto’s 171 and Luca’s 171 radome, as well. Not to mention the Maruyama version (not sure that really counts but it’s hella’ cool!) Thats Just Frontier..

Hmm.. Has there been any rhyme or reason to the HMR release announcements? There’s been a LOT of guessing on that one. They should have had a guessing contest ,if only to hype up the final reveal. I guess just showing that has generated plenty of hype..

Very interesting. Isn’t there at least consistency within the Macross universe concerning this issue? Even if it doesn’t make “real world” sense? When Fokker was addressed as “major” in Macross Zero, (¿¿translation correct??) it made me wonder for the first time, but I figured with the unification of Earth forces entering the theater of space in ernest, and new possible outside threat emerging, a reordering of classifying designations and rank was introduced. Not necessarily re inventing the wheel so much as teeeking it.. -
So this is gonna be some lawless teenagers finding and repairing(?!) a “derelict “ Star ship ( let me guess, they’re all engineers and geniuses with unlimited bank accounts). And they’re gonna have adventures , like finding planet smurf (finally more girl smurfs!) and find meaning and salvation..All dressed up in the Star Trek universe.. Why not Life’s lessons awaits for those who boldly go where no franchise has gone before!

Honestly I think ¥20,000 is way too much for a floppy , cracked Ivanov. That’s an ¥11-12k fixer-upper.. Lol. Same ,same . I’m sure it’s an improvement. And as far as collecting goes, I’m sure it will satisfy all. I’m just done buying everything being put out these days , as my collection is brimming over and some of the oldies are still great. I’m not , by any means done collecting, just being VERY selective.
