  1. +1 You might get lucky and find someone who wants to let their collection go. But they're probably a member here and would probably sell here first.
  2. Ya.. best to go back and watch Macross Zero and Macross Plus. Great destroid and mecha fighting in Zero. M+ is just all around awesome. I hear you mate. But we all loved Macross back in the day and that had the singing idol. Maybe you just put up with it. Now you can't avoid it. I'm an "old man" too but i love a lot of the music. What to do..? Oh ya, keep on deculturing
  3. Well. IMO, it isn't really post Zentradi even in Macross Delta . One must remember the vast majority of space out there and the fact that old school Zentradi still roam about. Also, transforming planes has been fully integrated into the Macross world and has many apparent advantages. Why go back to a square wheel? The mobility and versatility of 3 modes is unrivaled. As far as Destroids and your request for a "gritty war drama with destroids" remember Macross is made in Japan and mainly consumed there. Gritty destroid action with no singing just wouldn't be Macross. Remember the 3 pillars of Macross my friend.
  4. Hey @MInsHairyLegs welcome to Macross World . And welcome to collecting Valkyries. Now buckle up! Yamato V2 , Bandai 1/48, Arcadia non premium finish (at your price range), Yamato 1/48. Not necessarily in that order but those are what to look for. It's kind of personal what is preferred but the V2 Yamato is much loved. You may get just as overwhelmed on everyone's opinion. Lol. I will mention Bandai's HMR line (1/100) are fun and wonderful toys. But the size of the 1/60 & 1/48 is where i would start. Have fun with this hobby!
  5. Major score dude! That's just gorgeous.. VERY cool
  6. Nice one @sh9000 ! That's from episode 2?
  7. Don't......think so..?
  8. Nice one @Xigfrid ! You've inspired me to try that with my V2. One day when it arrives, lol.
  9. Have you transformed them?
  10. I've recently been going thru the last of my 1/60's. The Alto , Maruyama and RVF 171's all seem fine. Though I haven't transformed any of them . Curious to know who has and how their's are doing.
  11. As i get close to finishing a few other kits, I've started another 1/72 for my Megaroad-01 hangar. This is the Hobbyexpro resin model. Needs a bit more sanding and filling. It really helps me to have that first coat of paint on. I often miss spots until the paint reveals the truth. See you next deculture

  13. RFO! Looks awesome. Great recovery mate!
  14. I know mate. I'm just wishing upon a star.. I've already started my VF-24 kit bash and would welcome input for the name. As i get into the build further, i may need assistance with certain details. For example, is it just the YF version that has the "camel back"? Would the VF version have integrated that feature differently?
  15. VF-24 is a production model..
  16. That looks really good @Mog @wm cheng you're still making that bird look good! Even (or especially) with the blood , sweat and cursing. OH man @derex3592 another step back, dang! I hope that's not too hard to correct! The work space looks great. I just reorganized mine too. Gets hectic quick.. Excellent job on the camo @electric indigo ! That looks awesome!
  17. I had no idea, honestly . Very cool. Talk about reinventing the wheel. No need
  18. There's some pretty sweet Gundam kits ..
