Beskar was the best "lightsaber " proof material. Pre Disney. The Mandalorians are the ones who mostly used it as weapons and armor. There weren't many more materials that could hold up against lightsabers. And because of its relative rarity, nothing like battle droids or blast doors were being made of Beskar in quantity.

I know what you're saying @sh9000 . That thread would be 10 pages deep by now. It's on most peoples mind, so they're gonna talk about it, especially (and even) with their compatriots on a transforming robot anime website.. Honestly, we need more VF eye candy or this thread is dead at the pace Bandai will be announcing further teases.. bring back DYRL skull squadron and add that Roy to the head of the pack Bandai! ( please..)

So they just keep convoluting and watering down Robotech into a dirty slurry. What a hot mess.. And still ripping off DYRL . (Do these guys believe they're paying homage? ) can't keep track and don't even care.

How many rolls of toilet paper, do you say, for a 1/48 DX VF-1S?
-
For the time and place. Yamato could not be rivaled. They made us fans immensely happy. And Arcadia , with the exception of their initial VF-4 release , are all new molds. Not recycled. The Bandai 1/48 is the new hotness. So lets see how well it handles or turns yellow in 10 years or so. Don't get me wrong. I love the new 1/48. But it's obvious Bandai is driven by a different agenda than Yamato was. And it's not to bring you all those cool VF-1 variants. No judgement. It just is what it is.

Drip feed. I miss Yamato..

Fine. The delay will allow more time to save up Macross dollars. We'll be waiting Bandai

Thought I'd update some progress. She's heavily weathered. Will wash it down a bit more (some lines need to be thinner too) before clear coat and decals. In the process of painting landing gear and hatches and rear thrusters too.. And there's always more details to add..
