Well I'm in the HLJ shipping/payment confirmation limbo as well. Not really worried though, I'm sure the notice will come soon enough.
-
Awesome news! Just when you thought you had caught up on your valk collection. LoL I'm sure it'll be something new entirely, but man, what I wouldn't give to see a series based on the Megaroad-1.
-
True dat. Still, I'd love to see Kawamori's designs for FPs. I'm sure he's got scribblings scattered somewhere, much like he did for the VF-4 FP concept.
-
I really like the color pigments that they've used here, that particular red against the black looks really vibrant and crisp. Nice looking valk...even if it has no fast packs.

One of llfe's little ironies for me: way back in the day (circa 1986), Jem and dem other hoes was the show that replaced Robotech after my local TV station dropped it because it was too violent. As a kid, I was one sad panda after that one let me tell ya. Back on topic, Darrin, those figures look absolutely fantastic! Well done sir.

Really happy how this is turning out so far. The box looks okay, nice and compact considering how much stuff is crammed in there. Hopefully the QC'ing was done full throttle along the assembly line. Guess we'll know soon enough.

Hopefully the wings can lock, although I tend to agree with the rest of you in that it's lookin' like they won't. If that's the case, hopefully they'll have enough of a friction point to keep them in position otherwise. I'd hate to see a beautiful looking valk spoiled by floppy wing syndrome.

Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015

Was hoping that I wouldn't like the 0D to give my wallet a break...but man, that fighter mode looks really, really sweet. <sigh> shut up and take my money... -
Macross Robotech Yamato Helmet ... I found the last unit in ebay.

Deadeye_281 replied to luusama's topic in Toys
Good points Jason. I wasn't expecting lineart true as that would be impossible to deliver in a functional helmet, but this visor looks like one of those classic 70s style visor that is clipped via 3 snaps on the forehead line of the helmet. If that's the case, this visor will not move and you'll be locked into one mode of usage. I'd like to see more pics inside and out before placing an order. Like you, I'm hopeful that this proves to be a solid item, but I'm somewhat skeptical at this point given what we have to go on. Masei has hit us all up for preorder cash but where are the finished product photos to seal buyer commitment? -

Yeah, I dunno... I was expecting something more akin to lineart. I would greatly appreciate some finished pics but this isn't looking like what I was expecting. Maybe it's just me. -
Everything is lookin' good. The valk itself, the box. Really stoked for this!

Tamashii Online Exclusive DX Chogokin Tornado Parts for VF25F/G
Deadeye_281 replied to IXTL's topic in Toys
As these are the initial release pics used to garner interest/sales, I'm guessing that they're just heavily photoshopped. Either that, or some Bandai insider guy who remembers the mis-printed leg armor from the V1 Tornado decided to put in a joke.- 761 replies

Tamashii Online Exclusive DX Chogokin Tornado Parts for VF25F/G

I wouldn't hit the panic button just yet. If you look at the Battroid pic of the new Tornado 25F, that same part is labelled correctly.- 761 replies

Tamashii Online Exclusive DX Chogokin Tornado Parts for VF25F/G
Deadeye_281 replied to IXTL's topic in Toys
I think it looks just fine IMO. It carries the off-color, aftermarket parts scheme seen with the Super F and Armored F series. The Tornado was developed as a stop gap measure so it makes sense that its factory paint doesn't match the shiny fighter on the flightline. The Tornado G by comparison looks like a show plane. I can just imagine the ground crew complaining after being tasked to custom paint Michael's Tornado parts just so that its more appeasing to the eyes when he flies off to war every other day. Kidding aside, we're all going to have our preference but I think that both Tornado schemes look killer.- 761 replies

Tamashii Online Exclusive DX Chogokin Tornado Parts for VF25F/G
Deadeye_281 replied to IXTL's topic in Toys
Pre-ordered my Alto Tornado parts. Really stoked for July. Seriously, why can't all Bandai preorders be easy like this? Switched from wanting a 25G to a 25F Tornado due to cost and the upcoming V2, YF-19 price tag. The more I look at the 25F Tornado the more I like the color ratio/combination of valk to armor parts over the 25G. Michael's Tornado looks really beautiful don't get me wrong, but man...that's a lotta blue on one valk.- 761 replies

Tamashii Online Exclusive DX Chogokin Tornado Parts for VF25F/G
Deadeye_281 replied to IXTL's topic in Toys
I'm sure the new tornado packs are substantially improved over the V1s. Just look at the differences between the V1 and V2 Messiah super and armored packs. Anymoon.com has it all laid out for comparison purposes. Night and day really. I'm sure the new Tornado packs will have the same level of superiority to the old V1s. That said, if you have a V1 Messiah with Tornado packs and you're happy with it, then isn't that all that really matters? If the answer is a yes, then you can save yourself a wad of cash. My 2 cents.- 761 replies

This'll give you an idea of VF-0S stickers on the tailfins if you were wondering 'what if'? [/url]">http://http://s1263.photobucket.com/user/Geddon77/media/IMG_0361.jpg.html'>

Meh, pass for me. It's certainly a nice looking scheme with a cool battroid head but in the end, it's just another 25 in every other aspect. Man, they're really milking the 25 mold prior to re-releasing Ozma's 25S...

Started a new game+ file and having a blast zipping around in a Stage 3, VF-0S Focker. Thinking about Stage 3 blueprints, there really is no difference between any max loaded Stage 3 valk is there? I mean, a Stage 3 VF-0S has 999999 TP much like a Stage 3 YF-29 would right? So essentially, a Stage 3, max loaded Phoenix would be just as good as a Stage 3, max loaded Durandal? I haven't played enough of new game+ yet, but this seems to be the case or am I wrong?

I'll take some pics tonight to give you an idea of how the tailfins look with the jolly rogers. I used the VF-0S stickers but decals would be far better if you have them.

Was going to hit it with 2 thin strips of matte scotch tape, ended up just popping off the black, super part, intake covers from the outrider engines as if the bird were flying in an atmosphere. Looks just like the rendering of the super 29s from the Macross 30 game. Added some leftover VF-0S skull 'n bones to the tailfins and voila... this valk (which I've always taken a pass on 'till now) is really starting to grow on me. It's no YF-19 mind you, but I'm really happy to have a 29 in my collection now.
