Tamashii Online Exclusive DX Chogokin Tornado Parts for VF25F/G
Deadeye_281 replied to IXTL's topic in Toys
Wow, never realized how big the Tornado was til it was shown on the stand. That's gotta be as big as an armored variant. Sweet, this looks even better to me. Hopefully the damn thing holds together...- 761 replies

I'd like to see something new like a full on stealth or SU37 Terminator splinter scheme. No more tuxedo battroids please.

Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015
Deadeye_281 replied to Dark_Ghost's topic in Toys
Yeah, both those blue hues are off. There's the whole monitor type/resolution thing at play for sure but neither of those hues are steel blue like the 0D in the OAVs. Still early in the game for painting so I'm sure they'll adjust like they did with the new 19. -
Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015
Deadeye_281 replied to Dark_Ghost's topic in Toys
Anyone have a 0D hi-res still they can post from the OAV? I'd like to see it next to these images to compare. -
Awesome collection! I had a childhood flashback when I scrolled over the Airwolf model.

I prefer the off white VF-1 as it looks a little more realistic/military than the super bright white scheme IMO. That said, we're talking about jets that turn into robots so it really just comes down to personal tastes.

At second glance, I guess Shin is on the right and his chubby copilot is on the left? -

Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015
Deadeye_281 replied to Dark_Ghost's topic in Toys
Looks like they're continuing with the pilot mold that they used in the new 19 with some minor resculpting. I think these guys look really good. Win button engaged. -
Ozma's 'S' model for the win. The low viz effect just screams badass.

Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015
Deadeye_281 replied to Dark_Ghost's topic in Toys
Are there any shots of the prototype next to a Yamarcadia VF-1? I'm curious of the scaling crossover in 1/60 as the new Zero looks like a big SOB. -
Very, very nice looking 19. Makes me wanna risk panel lining mine.

Army postings can be a pain in the a$$ sometimes. Although I'm not US Forces, there have to be South Korean personnel that you could possiblly liaise with if there are any such personnel in your shop, IE: ask them if they'd be willing to let you use their mail addy for shipping purposes. Buy him/her a beer at the mess afterwards?

Got mine from HLJ. Shipping was fast and the Valk was pristine.

Having had mine for a day now, I find the Arcadia 19 lightyears ahead of the old Yamato in terms of visual esthetic and overall design. It's a much more solid valk and I have no fear pulling it off its flightpose stand to swoosh it around and not worry about parts exploding off of it. The secondary armaments that come with this valk were executed very well and the Isamu pilot is perhaps the best of any valk to date - with the exception perhaps next to the Yamato 1:48 Low-Vis VF-1 pilots (those figures rocked). I think Arcadia pulled this thing off very well, but there are design elements that piss me off TBH. Like most, I wish that they had not implemented the high speed mode as I have concerns that the wing design/mount may fail over time. It looks cool, but I'll never display it in this mode so...yeah. I wish that they had just left the rear stabilizers as 1 piece units like most valks as the moveable flaps are an epic fail IMO as I can't get them to stay straight 'n flush no matter how much I tinker with them. The grey gunpod looks unfinished to me and the color choice in general just seems off. Maybe I'm just used to the old Yamato gunpod but this version looks way too big IMO. I always pictured the 19 gunpod along the lines of a submachinegun (right or wrong) so I find the size of the Arcadia to be kinda visually jarring. Maybe that's just me. The fastpacks should have been magnetized for sure, the way that they connect is unncessarily complicated and only adds to wear 'n tear of parts (something that should be mitigated at every opportunity on a $300+ model/toy).

Got mine today. Got ass f$&/ed by customs. $47 CDN extra in import fees. At least I got in on HLJs Black Friday sale and the Valk is pristine but man... I don't know how some of you guys can afford multiples of 1 Valk type. And I thought Harley parts were costly LoL!

You're a bad man Scyla...a bad man. LoL

Obliviously optimistically speaking, my guess for a 3rd 25F reissue would be due to overall preorder figures for the upcoming Tornado parts that Bandai received. Holding to that logic, the next reissue should be the G for the same reasons. The S should follow that, although I doubt any of this rings true. Logic is not one of Bandai's cornerstones when it comes to the scheduling of Macross releases unfortunately. Meanwhile at Bandai HQ... PR Exec: Sir, reports are in. Everyone wants the Renewal VF-25S rerelease. They currently resell aftermarket for approx $400-500 USD. We could make a killing in profits. CEO: really, are you sure? PR Exec: yes Sir, 110% sure. CEO: Excelllent, we're going to go ahead and not rerelease the VF-25S. PR Exec: Yes Sir, I'll...wait...what? CEO Exec: What other random colours do you think these kids would be interested in Jenkins? PR Exec: Sir...the Ozma...it's...it's an untapped gold mine... CEO Exec: Indeed Jenkins...now how about a nice fusia paint scheme with yellow ribbons... PR Exec: I'm out.

Mommar, was the box and/or shipping tray inside damaged in any way? If not, then this broken wing clearly originated within the confines of Arcadia's factory and they should own up to that. A manufacturing company should stand by their product IMO. If Arcadia gave a s&$t about their customer base (international or otherwise) they should just mail you direct a new wing free of charge. In the Army, we call this 'sorting s&$t out at the lowest level'. IMO, Arcadia has a golden opportunity here to make something right. For the price of an international letter parcel no less, they can reassure an entire community of Macross fans and more importantly, an entire community of customers. I hope you guys are taken care of and that you get your refunds/replacement parts.

HLJ came through. Now the shipping wait begins.
