http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5930714305&rd=1 Interesting grading system used in this auction.

Don't know if this has what you are looking for specifically, but there is a big variety of nice noseart here. Anyone use these decals from Starship Modeler before? http://www.starshipmodeler.com/store/store_2.cfm?Line=1

I've got the X-wing, TIE fighter, X v. TIE package and I seem to remember something like that in there. Of course Reb Assault may have a similar scene as well. If I get the time and remember I'll try and look for it for you.

Now that I look at it closer the model looks like one of the 1/100 bandai variables. Are you sure it's in 1/144 scale? Still looks great, especially the deep red color.
-
Your model looks good for one in that scale. Two things I don't like about that scale: 1. All of the seam lines are very hard to clean up. 2. The arms and hands are always at kind of a strange angle. IMO Your detailing and nice paint job makes those problems much less noticeable, good job and thanks for sharing!

$600..... That's over $66 per item in that auction! For EXO Squad toys!?!?!? I just don't get it.
-
That really looks great! Thanks for sharing. That Valk could probably be dropped right into that Area88 OVA and fit right in. (Except that it's not a real world plane.) But the quality looks just as good already. The pilot is ah "nice" as well!
-
Good luck with that TIE model. The Vader figure is terrible though! Looks more like Yoda than Vader IMO! Remember to post pics so we can all see your efforts!

Definitely start with the orange tube glue. But before you finish your last "warm up" model get some liquid glue. It comes in a bottle with a brush in the cap, or Testors now even has some in a triangular shaped bottle with a thin needle like applicator. The liguid glue will give you a much cleaner application once you have gotten comfortable with it. I also recommend keeping some super glue on hand. Use the glue sparinglyand have fun!

WOW! More lame than the fat non-transforming mutant valk?
-
That looks really good so far. The colors look spot on and the pre-shading is very subtle. A question on the pre-shading: do you just spray the lines with black or dark brown first and then spray the orange color over it? I seem to lose all the color underneath when I spray the top coat.
-
That doesn't really seem to far out of line. I'd pass on it, but someone who really wants one might not worry about that price.

I wholeheartedly agree with the loud-radio-be-gone and the spoiled-brat-be-gone. I can't stand it when you see a kid throwing a fit and all the parents can do is say (in little pansy voice) "I don't like the way you're treating me" "Please use your words" "You need to decide if you're acting the right way" It's a little kid and they're pissed off! The parent needs to make the decision and inform the kid of the proper way to behave! If that means a swat on the bottom to get through to them so be it. Once is usually enough to stop it for life. A1 I do agree withyou that a nice restaraunt is no place to be yelling at the boob tube.

Hey Cap! Things look great! You can hold on to the model as long as you need it. I'm in no hurry. I'll be excited to get it, but if it helps the cause, use it as much as you need. I am getting a little worried about the price point too though. After seeing the dimensions for the launch vehicle. Are you going to be able to keep the vehicle itself around the $100 mark as well? (Too Much Awesome Stuff To Buy)

That looks awesome! Is that my Booster equipped Valk ready to take off?
-
Sorry guys but that seems pretty stupid to me. I can see the fun factor in doing it to people who you know or for kids at school (until they get caught and are out $15 when the teacher confiscates it), but why are you in a sports bar in the first place if the TV will bother you? Not worth the money IMHO.
-
You're doing a great job on that conversion. I'm with LTSO though, no time for more conversions! May be interested if the price is cheap though.
-
Anybody think this could be a sign that all the 1/48s will be getting rereleased? I bet if they do it slowly so as not to completely flood the market, they won't have any problem selling all the valks they can make. (Wishful thinking maybe?)
-
That looks great. I can't believe that Rust-o-leum gave such a nice finish! I would bet that a pilot who survived that battle in that plane wouldn't be flying a CF the next time he went out. He deserves a promotion!
-
Well, I'm really surprised at how good that kit looks. I usually don't like chrome plated kits, or even chrome plated parts unless it's on a car model. That 1S battroid looks pretty decent though, and it makes for a cool display piece. Nice work, thanks for sharing!

If Brooks puts out Spaceballs II I'll be first in line to see it. With my kids. They have watched Spaceballs so many times, they know it by heart and use lines from it about once a week. One day my wife mentioned the security code at her work, and my son yelled out from his room. "That's the second stupidest combination I've ever heard of!" Her combination is not much different from Pres. Scroob's luggage. Anyway, I give Mel Brooks the benefit of the doubt, because he is a comic genius and I haven't seen a really stupid/funny movie in a good while. So I'll be there.

Pretty funny! Man that must've been a lot of work!

Loved Aeon Flux. The quirky style and characters made it fun to watch. I liked trying to figure everything out and not actually knowing what was going on. Love Charlize Theron. Hottttttttttttttt! But I don't see her as Aeon Flux. She's not that skinny, totally different complexion than what I would envision and not really action/adventure athletic. I'll definitely check it out, but I don't think it will translate very well without some big changes from the animation.

Looks great so far! what is that color on the outsid eof the thruster nozzles? I really like it!

Simple concise and informative review. Great job! Great pictures too!
