  1. well i did some magnet modding to fix the 1/48 floppy arms in fighter mode. i posted links to where you can buy the worlds strongest magnets over at this THREAD. hope that helps.
  2. yo Major johnathan, i hope you know i was kidding with that loserville stuff. don't take everything so personally, after all this is the impersonal internet.
  3. you damn skippy! i went to visit a friend who went to school out there...what a mistake. we walked around his campus and you'd only see peoples eyes.
  4. Driving? To pittsburgh? Hah! You california boys wouldn't last 10 minutes here - with our cold, and snow, and slush - wait, why do I live here again? I'm from NY originaly. Pittsburgh winters are like the Bahamas to me. I can train these SoCal boys - teach them how to use a wintercoat and gloves and we would be unstopable! hehehe, those left coasters wouldn't even make it off the plane. once that brisk 10 degree wind hits them in the face, its a wrap. they can't handle the winter like us real men in the east. my winter attire.... 2 pairs of socks, 3 pairs of pants(longjohns, sweatpants, then jeans) and atleast 4 shirts(t-shirt, long sleeve, sweatshirt, a hoodie, then a jacket)....and i'm still cold.
  5. That's just really sad. I'm sorry, has to be said, its pretty damned disturbing. Don't say that!!! You might hurt his feelings! well then, i'll say it..... thats just really sad.....next stop, loserville!
  6. a fan = a person who enjoys a particular TV show/anime series/what have you and collects some merchandise related to the show/series. a fanboy = a person who enjoys a particular TV show/anime series and must have anything and everything related to that show/series, this includes toys, models, books, plush, posters(or as dorks like to put them, wall scrolls), stupid accessories like lighters, keychains, shoelaces, and the extreme....matching bed sheets. but it doesn't stop there, these folks are actually dorky enough to dress up as their favorite character and run around conventions asking for autographs, jocking some no name actors, telling them how great they are....this is beyond dork-dom as far as i'm concerned. oh, and these people usually live in the basement of their parents house but claim they got their own place since theres a seperate entrance into the basement.
  7. Well, it may have been available at Sharper Image as well (was SI even around back in the early 80s???), but I'm pretty sure the early (and rarest) big Zoids were Radio Shack exclusives. SI was around back in the 80's and they carried 2 zoid exclusive, one being the stegasaurus(sp?), the other was a t-rex(or godzilla-esque). i remember very clearly cause i hassled my dad for one but i never got it. maybe radio shack had the goods but the first time i saw a big zoid was at sharper image. all the other zoids that were around were all relativily small and affordable.
  8. not radio shack, it was sharper image. and yes thats a zoid and they're all over the place.
  9. NICE! i'll take 2 of them please. ooo, and 3 sets of hands too!
  10. i hear ya, thats always the question everyone asks when you build something cool. and while it would be nice to make some instructions, lego building is generally trial and error, so making instructions or even a parts list is really difficult. go check out brickcommander.com if you want the valkyrie instructions, its free, its easy, just download it and you're good to go.
  11. yes it can, they actually made a seperate clip for the VE and VT. also, i was messing around with the stand a couple of days ago and you can (sort of) display a 1/48(has to have FPs on) with the gunpod attached. its sort of a balancing act but basically don't attach the clip to the valk, just rest the FP valk on the clip. its not safe to display it with any kind of crazy angles but atleast you can leave the gunpod on.
  12. yeah but its either buy it now, or pay out the butt later...they're getting pretty rare as is. i don't really know any shop who has them other than tisinc. maybe they'll do a 3rd production run but with the lack of future 1/48 releases, i'm really not counting on it.
  13. I agree! I gotta get hold of instructions for this kit... Anyone knows how to contact members at Brickshelf? unfortunately, theres no kind of email/PM system to contact brickshelf members...yeah it totally sucks.
  14. if you haven't found rohby, you can contact him by clicking the link in my sig.
  15. well with the 1/60 design, they had to change the backpack hinge all togther in order for it to hold(w/o froppiness). i don't know how to describe it if you don't own one, but its like the reg. 1/60's, you push the hinge forward, fold the tailfins out, then the backpack itself get pushed down(and clicks) into the hinge and holds fairly tight. does that make sense? back on topic, it seems there more hoops to jump through the further we get into this discussion...as far as the VE and VT are concerned. but i'm a bigger fan of the 1D(and it doesn't have all these issues), so as long as that gets made, i'll be a happy guy. i just hope all these little details for the VE and VT doesn't deter the cap'n from going ahead with the project in the future.
  16. now i got 3 million reasons to beat trekkies over the head.
  17. I tried contacting that guy to purchase Lego Valk instructions and never heard from him. Anybody got instructions they want to offload? just order the instructions off "da shiznit" link i provided or check out the other link i provided to brickcommander.com. you should just bea ble to download them straight off the site.
  18. its not. glaga doesn't have an official website that i know of, just the brickshelf acct. go check out this site when you get a chance.... da shiznit
  19. go to this place, hes got mad stuff plus instructions to a lot of different mecha.
  20. contact toynami and tell them you received a lemon. you can find all the contact info and such over in the pinned MPC thread in the "other" section.
  21. just a small nitpick but, i don't get why people put the strike packs on 1A valks? the strike cannon is for the 1S, all other varients used super armor. and whats with the dude loading the gunpod? its just weird.
  22. Yes... Thats correct. Everybody send me a hundred messages. I want my box FULL! you know, you could just send yourself a bunch of PM's until its full but that would be kind of rude since shawn/graham did go through the trouble of increasing everyones PM boxes. who the heck PM's you anyway A1? i know there people that love to hate you but damn! you got that many fans your PM box gets full?!? and here i am thinking i was MW's most hated.
  23. While all this is true, amazingly the #3 MPC Skull Leader valks proved to be the best investment vehicle of all the modern valkyrie releases according to ebay. They sell for more than a 1/48 Yamato Low Viz or Yamato YF-19 1st issue and cost less than either at retail. Go figure. hear you on that. i sold my 1J for $130 or something and i thought i was robbing the guy....i almost felt bad. then i saw the 1S go for $300+ and i was like but you gotta remember, most of the tools on ebay don't have a clue. they don't know jack about the yamato goodies, they just see "robotech" and "master piece" and they get sucked into the toynami crapoganda.
  24. save youself some problems and get yamato's. don't let that "master piece collection" phrase suck you in, its a total crock of shiet. the MPC is ONLY a good buy if you get them for $40 or less(if even that) otherwise you're gonna have to dump it back on ebay, then it'll have cost you money just for looking at it and being disappointed. i bought one once, i got my money back, but i still regret the day i bought it. i remember i went to my friends house and opened it, i was all excited as was he but after i took the sucker out, we both sat there like WTF is this crap? i didn't even bother transforming it, i just stuck it back in the box cause looking at it pissed me off. by far the worst toy purchase i've made to date.
