  1. haha, if its one thing i've learned from this hobby, there is no such thing as choosing, you HAVE to get them all.
  2. this bad ass valk... i'm sure theres battroid pic but you get the basic idea
  3. haha, the question for the ages. graham said theres a lot of cool stuff coming out but no pep of the 1D? i can't imagine why they wouldn't make it when macross toys have proven to be a profitable seller for them. i'm sure its coming, we just got to be patient.
  4. if they made them the same shade of dark blue as the 1/60 strikes, it would've been perfect IMO. even if they made them in the GBP blue, it would better than the color they have now. its funny we're complaining about these FP kits when i myself own 7 of them suckers.
  5. yes! i've used the rare earth magnets to solve the froppy arm problem with the FP'ed 1/48 way back when. i installed them within the legs and arm armors. heres the thread.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...;hl=floppy+arms since then i've made some slight modifications to it, i installed a total 6 magnets so it holds even tighter and more flush than before. 2 mags in the legs, 4 within the FP arm armor, so now even if you try to pull the arms down, it goes right back to the correct position. now back to the topic at hand... for the price tag, i hope they include some kind of accessories. right now they only thing that it comes with is a pilot figure and gunpod. and making some legs FP's with a couple of magnets with no details doesn't count either. if it opens up like the 1/48 leg armors, cool. if its just a piece of plastic like the 1/72 11B leg armor, i wouldn't even bother.
  6. yeah but the color makes a huge difference. the TV FP color looks SO much better on every valk yamato has made. the strike cannon looks cool but the blue color yamato chose makes the valk look cheap/crappy IMO. i started a thread a while back about yamato releasing some other colored FP's, but they chose to release the stealth FPs instead....i have no idea why? i'm sure if they made other color varients, people would definitely buy them. i.e. old school bandai colored FPs, just plain grey, bascially anything but the cheap ass blue colored ones. perhaps if the stealth FP sells well, they'll think of releasing some cool colored varients.
  7. hey all, i was wondering if anyone had some good pics/scans of the HUD in a VF-1? i tried the search function and got nowhere with it. i found a couple of flight sim type pics but they looked super basic...no actually cockpit details or anything. i don't need a pic from a toy or anything, but what the actual HUD would look like if you were sitting behind the cockpit of a VF-1. maybe someones has a good scan from one of the macross art books out there? anyway, i thought it would make a really cool background for my desktop, this 1S strike pics is getting pretty old. thanks in advance!
  8. i wish that whatever i wish for will be made, thats what i wish for.
  9. oh looks nice but i made the mistake of getting 2 set of the regualr GBP armor and can't justify spending more money on it. if/when i sell one of the blue GBPs, then i'll pick up the the camo.
  10. i'm glad i racked up on the super 1J's when i did, all my TV valks are sporting TV FP's right now.
  11. haha, the search function(limp wrist fix) actually worked this time! http://toyboxst.inwards.com/rumblizer/view...?article_key=72
  12. ah what the heck, heres the link to the sellers thread. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=17964 check out all his other offerings, he makes a lot of really good stuff.
  13. the real mickey mouse hands are fixed and made of rubber/vinyl. the recasts are fixed and made of resin. if you prefer the DYRL style hands but don't like the limp wrists, you can also purchase fixed DYRL hands from the same member i mentioned above. hope this helps.
  14. then the limo driver takes it straight to his warehouse.
  15. aw schucks, looks like you can't attach the shield under the forearm, only on the side of it.
  16. all valks come with DYRL style hands aka chicken hands. the 1J's come with both the DYRL style hands and TV hands aka mickey mouse hands. you can try to purchase the real TV hands but very few people will part with them but you can buy recasts of the hands from nightmareb4macross, check the for sale section for more details. *correction* all the 1Js and the VF-1A CF come with TV hands.
  17. i've owned 3 1J super hikkies, and 4 regular hikkies and all of them were the same. i really think its a optical illusion, being that the hikkie has red highlights, while the DYRL valks have X color and black which many throw ones color perception off a bit...kind of like how someones eyes look a different color depending on what color clothes they're wearing. eh, who knows? all i know is mine valks are all the same shade of white. maybe masterofpuppets(awesome album BTW)bought his used from a smoker who displayed his stuff in direct sunlight? that or he used whitening toothpaste on that 1S roy.
  18. thats weird, mine are exactly the same, all my valks are. maybe there was a slight color change between production runs?
  19. 1/60's rules! in regards to the shading of the 1/60s, all the standard valks are a slightly different shade of gray. i'm not sure why they did this but it pissed off a lot of people because you couldn't repair a valk unless it was the exact same valk and you had to be careful so you don't get the accessories mixed up. i believe thats why they made all the 1/48 scale valks in the same shade. though some have argued its different, i've serviced quite a few valks over the years and no one has ever said the shade was off. as far as i can see(i'm not color blind), they are all the same shade of white.
  20. well if thats the problem, i'll gladly donate a 1/60 S head for the good of the cause. i have a spare 1S max, i can donate the head and sell the parts off if need be.
  21. if alpha doesn't do it, perhaps NB4M can? i know i'm still down for 5 of them suckers.
  22. i'm with this guy! i'm not into man dolls or even the CMS figures but i would definitely be interested in a large scale zentradi soldier, maybe more than one if they made a couple of different varients. it would be cool to have just about anything in the ways of enemy mecha/figure...not that i'm holding my breath but i'm still waiting on the TV-rau.
  23. i didn't call anyone "impatient fools", i said if someone is impatient, its their problem...how is that an insult? a fool and his money will soon be parted is an old saying, i don't want to be a fool is my statement, who am i calling a fool? also, loose elbows weren't the only issues with the 0S, loose knees, broken tail spikes, random pins falling out, gunpod not holding, and other various issues have been posted here. just because the one you got only had one problem means that you were lucky, but theres plenty of people here that weren't as lucky and got the shaft on a rather expensive toy. if you got the craptastic version that some of the guys here got, you'd be singing a different tune wouldn't you? and who could blame you? i know i'd be pissed. anyway, i think you're reading way too much into what i post so that being the case, i'll just walk away before this becomes more of an arguement than a discussion. peace out dude
  24. well these aren't exactly cheap where people(alteast i'm not) are willing to deal with it if its a lemon, and someone being first to buy/do something by definition makes them a test dummy. theres those people who have to be the first on the block to get something, i used to be one but i learned my lesson with the konig monster and it was a $150 lesson at that. so i don't see the problem with the people who would rather wait for a review for 'test dummies' to take it out for a drive before getting behind the wheel themselves. what if graham got a 19 and it turns out that its a total POS? i can't speak for everyone but i know i'd be first in line to say, "phew, i'm glad i waited for the review", i mean its a $200 toy for crying out loud! if someone has to be first to get something because they're impatient, then thats their problem isn't it? whats the old saying, a fool and his money will soon be parted and i don't want to be a fool.
  25. i know, cause while Ken likes to make money, he's not a complete a-hole like tisinc. its crazy but if the price goes up $1, tisinc jacks his price up $5, thats how he works, thats why i don't buy from him or others like him. as far as the M&M's i'm sure it coming, but so far there hasn't been any news about it nor the demand to really warrant it. if the price of those valks gets really high, perhaps yamato will do it, but probably after a few more new releases...though i don't know what VF-1's are left to make outside of the TV max and TV ben? getting back on topic, i can't really foresee any QC issues cause i don't know how it will transform? that usually gives you a better idea of what to look out for and where the problem areas are. for the price their asking, i hope they send a production sample to graham before they release it, atleast that way they can make improvements based on his feedback....lets hope.
