i've mentioned on numerous occassions, its not wise to publically discuss prices(unless your lowballin ), that it only helps yamato and retailers gauge how much the fans are willing to pay for something, please let me elaborate... if someone here were buying a brand new car, that hasn't been released yet, with no indication of MSRP, all you saw were some pics. would you as a buyer tell the car salesmen how much you're willing to pay before hearing the price of the car? if so, how could you possibly expect to get a good deal? its simple logic in my eyes but for those who can't see the logic.... i have some swamp land in florida i want to sell you. thats all i'm gonna tell you, no acreage, no location, no details, just some pics here and there that surface when i allow them to, but please tell me exactly what you're willing to pay, i promise i'll give you a good deal. *disclaimer* i ask that no one take this as a reason to start an arguement with me, just take it for what its worth or throw it away, in the end its your choice. all i can do is hope.

you guys are going all out, its looking pretty sweet.

some of you people need to lighten up. i was JOKING, hence the smilies and such. i'm pretty sure jenius knew i was joking as well as the rest of the community. really? i don't have one? I GOT MINE BEFORE HE DID, ITS THE FIRST FREAKIN PAGE OF THIS THREAD! the best part is, you posted on the first page that you got yours too. i don't want to be mean to you so i'll just use these rolling eyes to express how i feel. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...=19842&st=0

alright, i should not have said knockoff, instead i should've said bootleg. and i don't mean bootleg in a knockoff kind of way, more like a budget kind of way. whatevs, you guys know what i mean, theres just too many words to describe something that sucks. getting off topic, is it just me?, or does anyone else think jenius works for toynami? if toynami is there, jenius is there.....hmmmm makes you wonder.

for those looking for 1S heads, BP8's, TV hands, or pilot figures.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=17964 granted they're all recasts but you're gonna be waiting a mighty long time if you want original parts.

i stand corrected but still no word on about the probably overpriced FP sets? it means nothing to me either way, i don't like these and have no intention of picking them up unless they got a 2 for 1 deal or better.

just speculating here but i don't think these toys are doing too well from what they had originally anticipated. when the new was first released people were psyched for some $20 valks, but as soon as they came out and the reviews came in, people were no longer interested. and why would they be? they made a cheap knockoff valk and spent the money on boxes and advertising instead of the actual toy itself. its sad that after all this time, toynami still doesn't get it. i honestly wonder how many people here bought all 3 of them? i'm sure theres quite a few that did, but i'm guessing theres more people that just skipped these altogether. anyway, i'm just guessing here but i think the rest of toynami's 1/100 line is going to the same place where the beta/tread went, a one way trip to vaporville.

ooo! something that ressembles a ship. can't wait til shes finished but i'm guessing that isn't happening til some time in spring/summer...you work for yamato or some thing? hehehe

Speculaton about the price of (future) 1/60 YF-21
do not disturb replied to ruskiiVFaussie's topic in Toys
i don't see why people keep thinking the new yamato releases are going to be $200? the 21 has already been made by several companies throughout the years, resin, model, toy, etc. so its not like they have to start from scratch. people keep saying the 19 is going to be $200....why would it be $200? when the same thing applies to 19 as the 21. logically speaking, the more times a toy gets made, the easier it gets to make. it doesn't get harder and it definitely doesn't get more expensive. so i have to ask, why would a toy that has already been made in 1/72 scale on top of numerous transformable resin/models in multiple scales over the years, retail for such a high price? no yamato offering has gone over $200. if you paid $200 for any valk to date, you got hosed or you were late to the game and paid after market prices. yamato toys aren't as expensive as you think, just ask MW'er hayao kakazaki how much he's paid for each of his valks and you'll be floored how low that number is. IIRC, hes paid on average of $89 per non FP valk, and $125 for a FP valk in HK. we pay more simply because of shipping and the additonal mark up by US sellers. all that being said, IMO, the 21 as well as the 19 won't be more than $150 shipped from HK. no one should pay more than that for these 2 releases. i paid $125 shipped for the konig monster, i paid $150 shipped for the VF-0 and both of those were the first toys of its kind. the 19 and 21 are nothing more than rehashes of past toys/models/resin kits. -
after all the years of people hating on m2 and m7, i just kept myself from having to endure either of them. now even though i haven't seen them, i'd say m2 was better. my opinion is solely based on the fact that atleast in m2, none of the valks had breasts. robots with boobies is stupidest thing ever and its even more stupid when they actually shoot something. basically any kind of robot/mecha with human-like features is completely retarded IMO. oddly, i'm not a big fan of the 1S head because it looks like a dude with a mask covering his face. its tolerable because its roys valk but its not as cool as the A, D, and J heads, shoot even the made up R head looks more 'mecha-listic'....yes thats a word i just made up. i'm sure one day i'll break down and watch m2/7, but its more likely that i'd chop my own arm off and beat myself with it.

jesus christmas! thats a whole lotta macross dude, nice collection, it definitely puts mine to shame. GA, and nice job the HUD sticker, its like next to impossible to make it perfect. -
ahhh...and all this time i thought it was NB4M who had the skills, but its exo whos got the mojo. i just hope it doesn't turn into vaporware like the TV A heads *cough-cough*
-
oh okay, we'll whats the skinney on NB4M's fan racer project? i know he just had a baby so hes probably tied up with her but is it still happening? will it come to pass? NB4M? Exo? anyway nice ostrich, i am jealous.
-
yeah fan racer, so whats up with it? where did you get it? is it the one that NB4M has been working on?
-
whats up with that fan jet?

they're unstable because of the rubber nubs/feet(i don't know what to call them)elevate the base which makes it rock back and forth....depending on how blind the guy who put them on was. if you simply remove the rubber nubs/feet, they're just as stable as the squares. only problem is, the bottom of the base will get scratched up over time. so no one has to really redesign them, just make it so people have the option of putting on the rubber nubs/feet, otherwise get thinner feet. as far as people wanting seperate rods, i purchased a bunch of 4" and 6" rods by themselves way back when in case i/someone broke theirs, so if you need some, just shoot me a PM and i'll hook it up. please note, i don't have any 2.5" rods left but what you can do is simply buy the other sizes and cut them down yourself, its actually quite simple to do.
-
its sucks when someone isn't forthcoming with details during a trade doesn't it? we'll just leave that one alone.... as far as a solution for scratches, you can buff it out with Brasso. i know it will work because people polish their scratched CD's with it....i posted a link some time ago on the site.
-
the round base doesn't need to be redesigned at all. it would work just fine if the rubber nubs were placed on correctly at the factory, most of them were placed on by a blind man. a simple solution to this is to let the consumer apply his own rubber nubs instead of the factory and it would probably bring your cost down as well.
-
thats sucks dude. i was so psyched when they came out with the gummy pilots but now i'm wishing they go back to the plastic ones.
-
its november....is it out yet? i just sold a bunch of crap on ebay to pay for this thing so it better be out soon before i spend my money on that ED-209....you hear me yamato! *shakes fist*
-
i'd say just get 1 of each or better yet get 2 each, 3 stands just isn't enough. E-D, 6" rule! you can display your valks DYRL steeze with the 6" stands... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&id=10281

hehe, its not that anyone isn't excited, its just that no one is excited in buying yet another overpriced macross toy. from what i've seen so far, its pretty featureless to begin with and landing gear doesn't count as a feature, thats should be a given on any aircraft toy.
-
it really doesn't look like a toy at all, just from all the little details it screams model. i really want the macross but not if its going to be tiny with a ridiculous price tag. i guess we'll have to wait and see.
