its seems the argentine macross fans are multiplying on the boards. welcome to macrossworld. added: damn kicker773, you valkoholic bastid, you got it bad i tell ya! BTW, i'm loving the 1S kakazaki! i used to have one of those too!
-
lets hope the chase comes with every set instead of one of those you-might-not-get-one-even-if-you-buy-an-entire-case-haha-sucker type of deals....screw that crap!
-
[sarcasm] look at all those cool accessories and features, its totally worth $150. [/sarcasm] has anyone actually bought this? was anyone brave enough to pre-order it?
-
it probably is, but most toys start out as models. can't a brother dream!
-
thats what i'm saying! say you bought a destroid 2 pack, you get home, bust them out and put them on your shelf but you can't help but to think, "whats missing? the other 2 destroids thats whats missing!" by making someone purchase 2, it kind of forces the buyer into becoming a completists...."i have to get the other 2 cause my display looks all wrong! these 2 are cool but i wish i had the other 2 so i can have them all.", etc. they could even go a step further and offer 1 destroid and 1 regult in a 2 pack. this would ensure sales of both the enemy mecha as well as the destroids. granted theres only 3 regult varients and 4 destroids but what better way to introduce the TV rau. theres lots of ways to work this to their advantage, i just hope they take off their blinders and see the big picture....

no conversion kits! whats the point, so you can only display one at a time? thats the takatoku schtick, lets not go backwards in time shall we. as i suggested way back when, they need to be sold 2 destroids per box. that way people are forced to buy 2 and yamato is guaranteed to sell 2. it'll be "o-kay" for us(meaning we can deal with buying 2 at a time) and a win for yamato. if they sell them individually, there will always be that one destroid that gets no love.

try your best not to strip the plastic. make sure when you go to tighten the screws again, its using the same threads created from the very first time the screws were put in. its not hard to tell, the screw should go in pretty easily and shouldn't require much torque to tighten. if you have to use force, then you not in the right groove. i hope that makes sense?
-
takara? you mean the company that makes those ugly ass hinges-visible-everywhere transformers? i think they're a bit far from yamato. the only thing up to par they put out is the MP prime and its varients, the rest of there stuff sucks my left knut.....thats just my opinion of course. this is what i meant about mountains out of molehills accountable? come on dude, its a toy company not a car company that left out the seatbelts. if thats the case, please sell your poorest quality toys to me. BTW, sorry if my posts comes across in a bad way, its not my intention.
-
same here, it take less than 3 minutes to TF it if even that. as weird as the YF-19 is, the transformation is pretty easy/simple/straightforward compared to the VF-0 and VF-1....its just all sorts of awesome! someone said they're going to buy my last one but i think i'm gonna keep that sucker for myself.
-
haha, dudes its just a prototype pic in a hobby mag, not the finished product. wait then judge. i'm sure a lot of the issues will be sorted out before it hits the production line......i hope.
-
its not so much downplay(it can be preceive it that way, though its hard to determine ones tone over the internet), its just people overreacting. these are toys afterall, overpriced yes, but its not the end of the world and people don't need to make mountains out of molehills. now granted some people can have issues that others are lucky to avoid but the fact is, nothing in life is perfect and everything is a compromise. the sooner people can accept this, the easier it will be to deal with things that aren't to your liking. i.e. crooked gunpod, landing gear, tight fuselage, rubber seepage etc. the question to ask yourself is, is there single company out there that makes transformable toys that are anywhere near the level of yamato? and please don't bring up gundam, gundam toys is teh ghey.
-
ditto. all the b1tchn and moaning, yet no one selling. go buy a toynami valk and you'll see how quickly you change your mind.

so far "garwalk" looks the best, the fighter mode looks a bit gapified, and "battoroid" looks like it hurts. it seems kind of pointless to pick this up when i don't own the 0S. i guess the same could be said for the nora since i don't plan on buying the shin version. i'm not sure?, as much as i want to stay away from their 1st releases, i don't want to get stuck waiting for a 2nd release that might never happen.....what to do, what to do? BTW, anyone else find it funny that after all this time making macross toys, yamato nor the hobby mag can get the mode names right.
-
i stand corrected. whatever the case is i have no interest in it.
-
if its one thing yamato has learned its to make every valk release armor capable. they made that mistake with the 1/60 VF-1 so i highly doubt they're going to make the same mistake again. i'm just guessing here but i think they're going to make the reactive armor as well. why else would there be 2 slots on each side of the backpack?
-
awesome fix emajnthis, the shoulder gaps were bothering a bit. we eagerly await some pics.
-
looks o-kay at this point, i'll need to know more info before commenting any further. it also looks like they're coming out with a camo FP for the LV2...though i could be mistaken?

dream away, i'm totally with ya! the reason for poor sales for enemy mecha IMO was.. 1. they were too expensive. i don't know what the wholesale price was but seeing the price for these now, its easy to tell that a lot of sellers were taking us to the cleaners. had they not sold them for as much as they did to begin with, people might have bought a few extras(like they're doing now) for customs and such. like a wise man once told me, "sell them for less and you'll sell a lot more of them" 2. they released the wrong one from the start. had they released the TV-rau or a battle pod, everyone would've bought one with no hestitation and probably multiples at that. i can't speak for everyone but i bought the other 2 raus without a second thought because they were the only enemy mecha available for purchase. if they release a regult, i believe they would sell out faster than the "personalized" raus. 3. if they want people to buy more, they need to have more variety. you can't make one enemy mecha toy, make a 2 repaints and expect people to jump up with joy. when people see a variety of enemy mecha toys, thats when fans get sucked into it. as is, the 2 raus ain't doing nothing in anyone collection other than collecting dust. if they made battle pods and officer pods, the rest of the enemy mecha toys would get much more action and praise on these boards, which would draw more fans and more sales. its a fact that people always want what the next mans got. you listening yamato? do you hear me? i know you frequent these boards, i know you're reading this, so make it happen and we'll make you rich/er.
-
the little tan plate didn't make enough room? or it made no difference whatsoever? i was sure if i removed that piece i could lose the shoulder gap! darn it, i wish i was home right now fiddling with my toy. let us know what you come up with.
-
haha, it took you that long to figure that the backpack goes up. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...9101&st=640 i'm still not ordering the combo set until i hear word of something being done about the shoulders.
-
back from the dead! have we all forgotten that we need to continue giving yamato a hard time until we get some destroids! i'm still on the 1/60 bandwagon seeing as that the scale that yamato is pushing.
-
i'd say try it again cause you're doing it wrong. no one on this board had a single issue with getting it back to fighter mode. did you look at graham transformation video? did you look at the instructions? and seriously, are you really complaining about paying $140 for yours, when most of the people here paid $200? i bought 4 of them just to get them a little cheaper and still didn't get anything near the price you paid...
-
even if someone recasted the shoulder piece, it still wouldn't sit flush. the reason why the shoulders won't sit flush is because of the sliding tan piece housed in the shoulder, not the shoulder itself. i think if you simply remove the silly needless feature, the wings should lock down nice and tight and the gap in the shoulders should disappear. i haven't tested this theory yet cause i was busy watching NFC/AFC football last night. i'm gonna try to remove the piece(if it doesn't require me to break something) and see if it works tonight, i'll keep you guys posted.

one of the coolest dios i've seen here. the attention to detail is truly amazing.
