^ haha, if you feel the exact same way about it a month or 2 from now, i'll breakdown and buy it. AFAIC, all the reviews are being done while suffering from new valk syndrome.

its say excaliver!

haha, what would be really funny is if they spelled everything in engrish and not english. they look alright but i'm not feeling them and i still don't what "limited" means. even if they make 50000 of these its still considered limited as long as they don't make 50001. i'd like to know what the exact production numbers will be but i have a feeling we'll never know...or ever be told.

LIVE ACTION ROBOTECH (WB gets the rights)

interesting news. i'll probably keep my expectations low as usual and watch it....but i'm certainly not paying to watch it. -
haha, i don't need wood when i've got science(and my anal ways) on my side! i've done all i can possibly do to prevent any yellowing from occuring. right now its just a waiting game to see if its really working but so far so good.

i haven't checked in a few months but last time i did checked, my 1/60's were still nice and white, all of them.
-
actually, i put my CF-0A back together without the O rings and the tension was still good enough to hold a pose. only thing is, its plastic on plastic so its eventually going to get loose, but as of right now they're holding up just fine without them.
-
Mowe, you should get crazy and check the bicep....actually don't. you'll be even more upset when you see what it looks like in there.
-
now its up to 7. FTR, i haven't voted in this poll because i don't own the shin/ghost combo. i hope the people that own the 0S and 0A are NOT voting in this poll.

sorry for the dark/blurry pics, i forgot last night and had to rush it this morning. the red paint marks indicate the points that were broken upon opening it. note on the far leftside, i had to glue that entire support piece down(light grey) because that part(darker plastic) was completely in pieces. i krazy glued the broken pieces together best i could, let it dry, sanded it down, cleaned it, applied some more krazy glue, then sanded it down again. also, when you put the 2 halves together, its not a clean fit. these also requried some sanding(i used 400 grit) to make the 2 parts seamless. same goes for the shoulders halves and the groves that connect the shoulders to the biceps. i wish i had a pic of the original O ring in the bicep section to show you guys. the ones pictured have been trimmed down quite bit. i really should've taken progress pics when i was doing the repairs but i hope this helps.
-
^ i'm not sure how thick the plastic is in those sections but they look like they're ready to go at any moment. i hope yours stays in one piece.
-
its too hard to explain without pics, i'll dismantle the arms tonight and take some pics of the breaks and repairs. if you get your replacement arms before then, make sure to disassmeble them and clean it up before attaching them. i'll try to be as detailed as possible with pics and descriptions.

no need for peace signs or anything else. my point had nothing to do with prices, value, or worth, just that we shouldn't expect $200 worth of QC/effort from yamato when its only costing them $50 to make and how that helps me deal with my dissatisfaction, thats all. BTW, SV-51 = $1150 HKD = $147.49 USD
-
its possible, it happened with them ugly ass swiss army valks.

^ ouch! thats sucks but i'm sure neova came through and made things right. speaking of which, where is neova anyway? he was my go to guy for macross toys and he totally disappeared off the face of the earth. anyway, i said this a way back on page 10.... peoples expectation should reflect the price that it costs yamato to produce these, not the price that sellers are charging you. i don't expect $200 worth of QC/effort from a toy that cost yamato $50 to make. at most, i'm expecting $50 worth of effort on this particular product. this doesn't mean i'll just accept QC ridden toys that yamato releases, but it helps me deal with my dissatifaction nonetheless.

haha, i've been referenced. brasso is good but i've been using the chameleon remover as of late as its requires a little less elbow grease. what i don't get is if people want an all black valk, why don't they just buy some cheapy valk on ebay and paint it black like the 25th anni. valk? i know a painted valk isn't the same thing but seems kind of pointless to pay more for this than your typical valk, only to alter the thing that makes it unique. its like me buying the the camo LV2 and removing all the camo because i want a CF varient.

haha, hidden feature! i'm not talking like a revoltech but something more simple like this....

but how many is "limited"? if they make 50,000 of them, that would still be considered "limited" wouldn't it? _______________________________________________________________________ its a fact that companies like to use "limited" and "exclusive" to gain more sales from collectors, when all it really is is just some printing on the box. maybe if they did something special like include some kind of book/cel/certificate/numbered the valks, and made an actual limited run(meaning something in the hundreds), i'd line up to buy these but til then, the word limited really has no meaning. people like using the LV1 as an example but the LV1 isn't something i'd really consider limited because if it was really limited, i would never had the chance of owning 3 of them. the only thing that yamato has put out that i consider limited is the Credit Card valk. everything else is just another sales ploy to get fans to part with their money.
-
thats not a pic i wanted to see. if the thicker side of the piece(stronger side) has to be shaved down that thin, it going to lose its strength. maybe i'm seeing it wrong but that point was already pretty thin, now it looks super thin.
-
haha, squidd is the new low viz lurker. my request to those who own it, can you pose the SV-51 without it falling over? and when i say pose, i mean a real pose, not just standing straight up, knees locked and arms at its side. so far the only real posed pics i've seen of battroid mode is on the stand. thanks!
