i left out the fact that i had to buy a case, then sell 3 of them. at the time, sellers were charging $210 plus shipping(IN-freakin-SANE!) but i sold them for $175 plus shipping. granted i could've sold them for more, but all i was interested in was getting mine for a reasonable price and being able to offer the other 3 at a reasonable price. if you can get 3 other people around your area to join in, you guys can do a group buy, pick up a case(usually 4 per case), ship by boat, and split all the costs down the middle. you'd get some sort of discount for buying 4 and shipping would be a lot less split 4 ways.

if people stopped buying them, the price would drop but as long as people are willing to pay that much, sellers are going to charge that much....why would they charge any less? unfortunately people can/will only hold off for so long, then they'll eventually break down and pay out the ass for it. i paid $140 shipped or so for mine and it was brand new.

no, the 21 will come with everything(stand, the FP's, etc) other than the fold booster. i repeat no fold booster! yes the 19 fold booster combo set was the 2nd release with the fixes.

maybe? but they'd have to make individual FP's for them both, new wings, new canopies and i'm sure some other things i'm leaving out. so its not that easy for them to milk it hence why i'm holding onto those 3 particular 1/60s until if/when we see production pics. it would suck to dump them now, only to buy them back later at an inflated price.

i'm still thinning the herd, i just need to sell a CF, AB, stealth, and GBP. i'm planning on selling all my 1/60s(including customs) except i'm keeping the q-raus, VE and VT. i'd rather have a lot of different toys to enjoy than the same repainted toy design over and over again. sure the VF-1 is timeless and part of my childhood but i don't need 30 of them to keep it that way.

and sometimes it ends that way. i started off with a couple of 1/60's then completed that line. then i moved onto the 1/48's and completed that line but by then i was so sick of the VF-1 design and sold off a lot of 1/48's(including customs) and i'm considering dumping all my 1/60's too. this hobby is/was fun and all but too many of the same toy is/was getting lame for me.

did you make sure to uncheck the "search this forum only"? i typed in SV-51 and got a bunch of results. i think its too vague and people tend to bring up valk numbers in numerous threads. its kind of like me typing in "VF-1" and expecting to get quality results over quantity. i guess you can try picking specific forum sections and anything else that will narrow your search.

10,000 yen = $87.63 USD unless you think the price of shipping(cheaper, smaller, and lighter) and a set of FPs(cheaper than the 1/48 FP) will run you an extra $100+?

1/60 VF-1's have diecast which costs more than plastic. everything is smaller so everything costs a little less and while it seems( size doesn't make a difference, it all adds up in the end otherwise they would not have said it'll be 10000 yen. if you're willing to pay the same price for a 1/60 FP than a 1/48 FP well then.....i'm not going to resort to name calling.

at that price point, every valk better come with FP's otherwise its a complete rip off.

saw a good copy over the weekend...I <3 NYC! it was pretty good overall, though i was kind of surprised how it ended.

the only thing that interests me are the pilot figures. gold = gawdy i mentioned yamato spelled excaliber wrong when the pics first surfaced. i guess they just didn't care.

^ i know you've been unhappy with your 19 since the day you got it but i'll gladly take it off your hands if the price is right. you can just pick up the improved version for a few dollars more. just throwing it out there.

considering i've owned every yamato release, i can tell you now, they've never used that kind of wrapping at yamato. vendors will sometimes shrinkwrap stuff to make it seem like its new.
