1/48+FP's, 1/60, and 1/72 picture gallery
do not disturb replied to VF-18S Hornet's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
neova, what the heck else are we suppose to do with them? i can't have a bunch of headless valks....maybe just in fighter mode. toonz, you definitely got the nice shelves. i saw them in the Ikea catalog but couldn't justify paying $100 for each one....and you got 4! maybe one day..... Mechafan, thanks man, i have lots of fun with my display stands. i just can't seem to find enough poses for them. i took some john woo-ish type pics...well more like some matrix steez with the M&M's, i'll post them when i get a chance. RTShark, yes we've been through the table conversation. any chance you'd be interested in buying it a original Berol table? its only $1800! supposedly? the table adds to the drama of the photo. i should take more pics with the table lights on. fred the french, nice collection i can only imagine how much you paid to get all those. shipping to europe is way too much! whats up with the 1D pose? its the "whos that off in the distance while i'm being beautiful" pose. and you got the 1st yf-19....i've been looking for one of those. -

Alpha pics newer ones this time confirm july?
do not disturb replied to eyesonme78's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
right wing, left wing, who cares? lets just hope the gunpod stays on! knowing toynami's lack of quality, i can only imagine all the non-fitting parts. also, i hope they're offering a parts service cause it sure does have a lot of small moving parts that are likely to break. -

seeing as this is the only other alpha/legioss out on the market outside of the gakken ones, i think i'll be picking one up......yes, even though its an MPC. if its actually a high quality/durable toy, i'll pick up the others as well. -
its just one of the design flaws of the 1/60's...it drove me nuts for a while too. i keep my 1/60's in either battroid or fighter modes and display 1/48s in gerwalk mode. its not really a solution but the 1/60 has the nicest(IMO) fighter mode and more accurate battroid mode. the 1/48 has the best gerwalk mode.

TO EVERYONE, i've contacted those members whos requested parts are parted, packed and ready to ship. to those on the "READY" list, please confirm your requested parts are correct and you still need them. chris b, taken care of. rewooh and rabidweazil, the likely hood of your getting the heads before the 10+ people ahead of you is unlikely. might i suggest you contact monkey nugget(rob) as he has a resin recast of the 1S head....dunno about a 1J head though? Weaseldancer, everyone and their moms is looking for the piece and there are quite a few people ahead of you. sorry dood but you'll have to wait in line like everyone else.

looks pretty sweet! i sure do have 2 of the armors coming from Neova....should be here in no time now! BTW, the armor fits all the 1/60's valks except the 1D, VE, VT.
-
hey neova, saw your updated post and i'll get right on it. everyones whos on my list, i'll try my best to provide the speedy service for everyone but please keep in mind, i do have a job in the real world. i will PM you when your order is ready and just so there is no confusion, i will take a pic of your parts order and send it along with your total.

Can we get rid of this?
do not disturb replied to Agent ONE's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
pretty much, if someone knows there way around here, i doubt hes clicking on links on the homepage. the only time i went there was to check out some custom 1/60's and 1/48's, other than that, i come straight here for the info. -
just like in the 1/60s? huh? theres no green skull squad. sticker on the 1/60 sticker sheet at all nor on any of the VF's w/FP's There was in the 1/60 stickers with Kakizaki's name and number 012. i think thats was for the CF's. but theres still no geeen skull squad. sticker on the 1/60 sheet.

the green skull squadron sticker on the FP kits would indicate that there is indeed a 1A kaiz/ben coming.

fulcy, you are my hero! Maybe we should have a seperate forum for parts exchanging. That way people could have their own thread that they could edit themselves. H i think were going to use the copy and past method from each of our posts. were getting it organized.....we have a "team" meatting at 5 o'clock high!

the 1A max gets mad doods. as someone mentioned, its actually one of the best VF's out there quality-wise and i have to agree. its has better QC than all the 1J's and slightly better than the 1S's plus i really like the dark blue highlights a lot.

before this turns into a "will super glue melt palstic" debate let me just say this.... you're only putting a small drop of glue to hold down the magnet and its all within the interior of the valk....in otherwords you can't see it. if you want to be super safe, use epoxy. i would've, but i was afraid of the magnets shifting positions while it was drying. you actually don't even need glue, i had scotch tape holding it down for a while before i decided to glue it down.
-
i used good old crazy glue but i didn't go overboard since crazy glue melts plastics. Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I'm trying to track down a source of Neodymium (sp?) magnets in here in Hong Kong, as I think this modification is such a good idea, I but don't want to end up melting my 1/48s. BTW, what is the diameter (in mm) of the magnets you are using? Graham this is the size i picked up.... click me but i should've gotten these..... THESE the ones i should've gotten are a little bigger diameter-wise but they're slightly thinner and have more magnetic surface area. i'm not a 100% sure if they'll fit into the correct position in the FP arm armor, but i know for a fact it'll fit into the actual arms....and quite nicely. anyhow, if you ahve trouble finding them around you, just let me know and i'll hook it up.

i actually perfer FedEx as opposed to UPS, why? at fedex, each driver is responsible for their packages, they don't deliver the package, they don't get paid, if something is damaged, they are responsible. each driver is an owner/operator. at UPS, they don't give a rats ass. UPS got mad LOOT so the drivers don't really care what happens to the packages. if something breaks, "oh well, the company will cover it". same thing goes if they don't deliver. basically UPS drivers have nothing to loose.
