Need help settling an internal debate

i especially like the one with testicles added onto it. sorry just trying to lighten the mood. the ship looks great but as most suggested, you need some grebblies like vents, exhaust ports, antennas, a radar dish and maybe a small control tower. i assuming this is a capital ship. if its a fighter, then it just needs more guns. -
huh? you mean you believe it when you see it don't cha? same here, i know they said its coming but yamato has said a great many things that haven't panned out so seeing is believing. i just hope they don't make it like the 1/55 or the 1/60 GBP, where nothing moves, and the valk itself is barely poseable. i'm keeping my finger crossed on this one.

Oldman is chronically in the supporting cast, so no... Ford could be though, I wouldn't rank him high, however. i'll give ya oldman but ford?!?!? got tortured by vader and live to tell the tale, frozen in carbonite and kicked boba fetts arse while he was blind(dumbluck but still) he took on the nazi's, posessed by cult then tried to rip the heart out of the leader and theres so much more.... True. but after the IJ movies he went way soft. Really lightweight movies. That loses him some serious points. granted, but he got roped into a bunch of Tom Clancy movies is all. more plot, less action for the aging actor but i wouldn't call him soft. your hero arnold did jingle all the way and kindergarten cop(still in his prime), not to take away from arnold's badassedness but exceptions can be made.

why isn't harrison ford on the list? or gary oldman?
-
to his defense, he never claimed to be a martial arts expert, he has always said hes a ballet dancer. the NY club you're talking about is Scores(mighty fine strip club) and the guy(i think his name is chuck?) who beat him up(punched him once) was about 200 lbs heavier than him not to mention the 18 other bouncers who had his back. thats like my 130 lbs ass squaring up against Arnold or floyd patterson against butterbean....not really a fair fight. he only had 3 good movies, blood sport, kickboxer and my all time fav cyborg.

A silly idea for those 1/48 chicken hands
do not disturb replied to Bob_Coffee's topic in The Workshop!
why not just get the recast TV hands from Rohby? if the TV hadns are too big, i've used the hands off my super poseables, the VF ones are way small but the alpha ones are almost the same size as the chicken hands. BTW, what happened to home boy that was sculpting/casting some fixed DYRL hands? -

LMAO! i'd rather spend my $80 on real lottery tickets, i'd have a better chance of winning. i think the best way to insure a getting a good one is to buy it in a shop and open it right there in front of the employees. atleast then if you get an expolding alpha, they can't deny you a refund/exchange. -
isn't that a gay bar? just kidding. theres mad places in the city if you want to find some good looking women but good looking women tend to be high maintenance, like when it takes a girl an hour to get ready so we can get a slice of pizza. i don't care how hot the girl is, its just something i can't deal with at all. back on topic, image anime is a completely rip off, so i wouldn't bother going there. i went in with $1000- looking to blow the whole shabang but this guy wouldn't show me no love and insisted i pay tax. theres a unwritten rule for small retailers in the city, if you got cash, you don't pay tax. elizabeth street is a crap shoot, sometimes they got stuff, sometimes they got nothing. definitely not a bad spot if you're looking for model kits and gundam stuff. they usually got some 1/60 and 1/72 but they're way over priced. mott street, that place used to be alright but now its a yugi-oh/magic/pokemon place so they're ain't much there.....not even gundam. kim's video is alright, sometimes you can get a great deal, sometimes its a straight rip off. they used to have a bunch of cool toys there but haven't been there in a while. not neccessarily a good thing, but they turned it into a chain store. forbidden planet, good stuff, but you better have deep pockets, you've been warned. toy tokyo, haven't found my way there yet but i hear good things about it. take a chance, how bad could it be? anime castle in queens, a little over priced, but i've only seen there auctions on ebay. they could be nice to you if you go to their shop....but its all the way out in queens!

is this correct? 1/48 GBP sometime next year. 1/100 koeing this year, nuff said! 1/60 monster, not sure why they're making this one, but i know Godzilla will be happy. no new enemy mecha, and sorry folks but the max rau don't count as new IMO. no 1/48 CF or_____ or ____ or ____ or _____ fillin them in at your leisure. more little collectible figures, not my bag, strictly fanboy merchandise. a 1/100 VF-0S valk is on the way, not a fan of zero, so i gots no love. CG, line art, whatevs, the thing looks fugly IMO. and lots of other anime crap that i'm not into....great. if theres something i've missed, please fill me in.

all the NYC places are pricey as hell. i did get a 1/48 1S for $120 in the leizabeth street mall once.....just once.
-
some folks are clearly hitting the crack pipe before hitting up ebay.

me too! i was thinking i could make the roy with a yellow visor, max blue, and hikaru red, you know, to match the paint schemes. its not cannon but i think it would be cool. BTW rohby, the head looks AWESOME...as if there was any doubt. *added* OH YEAH! i just got word that colored visors are available. not only a super dope recast but color choices as well. its and early x-mas at MW! woot!

i'm a walkin....yes indeed...i'm walking....

i don't think they're getting rare as opposed to less and less of the US re-sellers are stocking them. the bulk of their business isn't macross and they have to invest their money into other product releases that have more of a following like gundam, TFs, etc. believe it or not macross isn't a big money maker for a lot sellers here, they do it for the love and probably make a small profit off each sale. but as less and less US sellers stock them, the price in the US will escalate.
-
cool, i'm PM'ing him now. i want me a red visor or maybe even make one in blue. these are after all for customs so it doesn't have to be cannon for me to enjoy them. thanks for the info!
-
if rohby makes a visor in red, i'll take one of them instead of the green. red would actually be pretty cool as opposed to just the green, variety is good.

the air force shot down that plane before it reached the pentagon as far as i'm concerned....all conspiracy theories aside. i remember listening to the radio on 9/11 and the annoucer saying how the 4th plane was being escorted by fighters. next thing you know the plane crashed and they(media and gov't) never mentioned the fighters being in the air or escorting the plane. the radio station i was listening to also never mentioned it again throughout the day broadcast. then after it was all said and done, i remember they(gov't) claimed there was this guy that called his wife from the plane saying he was going to do something?!?! its a gov't cover up all the way, make one guy into a hero as opposed to admitting they shot down that plane. i understand they were in a lose lose situation and after the crashes into the WTC, what choice did they really have? i wish i recorded that broadcast but i was too f-ed up at the time to think of it. but i swear to you this shiet is not made up. i'm not sure if anyone else heard the broadcast but i know thats how it went down.

i'm chillin on the FP's, i picked them up cheap when BBTS was having their sale and i got 4 sets of TV FP's. people looking for cheap 1A's, hit up toy-wave, only $99. i'm thinking about getting 2(w/o boxes) or so especially now, since rohby made recasts of 1S heads. more S's for me!
-
awesome price, payment sent, can't wait til i get my 1S LV. anyone in doubt of rohby's work...theres no need. he makes some of the best recasts on these boards. i'll be sure to post a review once i get mine. thanks again from me and everyone!

i think each new guy that discovers the 1/48's are the ones driving up the price. i know most of us here started collecting thinking "robotech" and later discovered macross. so you figure, you got the average collector looking on ebay for veritechs, they score a MPC, receive it only to find its a POS, starts asking around if theres anything better, and people point him in the direction of yamato. i just think its people playing catch up and also because ebay numbnuts are bidding on every 1S auction. i mean, if theres more than one offered on ebay, why bid on all of them? just move on to the next one and it keeps the prices from inflating....its just common sense. i.e. i think someone single handedly drove up the price of the LV's cause he had to have(and won) every single one that came up for auction, hence the $250-$300 price tag.
