retailers carry stuff that they take a loss on all the time, its called a "loss leader". just like when you go into a music store and they got the top 10 albums for $11.99. the music store isn't really making any profit but they hope you come in to buy other CD's. go look at the regular(old) CD and you'll see the price is probably around $18-. they just want to lure you in then buy something else, thats where their profit comes from.

i'll take some more pics of the kaz 1S when i get home tonight as well as the LV 1S. the LV head came out a little darker than i had hoped after the paint dried so that needs to be fixed. the kaz 1S is waiting on a real S head. i got the recasts but i want all original parts for my DYRL valks. thanks for the comps.

i hear what you're saying cause i just got mine heads yesterday though mine weren't warped. the seam line is unavoidable since it suchs a thin skinney piece but at the same time, it wasn't a big fix. i just used the putty to smooth things over and hit it with some sandpaper and they came out fine. they definitely aren't as stiff as the real lasers but i'm gentle with my toys so no biggie. the one thing i've learned since working with resin parts is, they never come out perfect. theres always something ever so slightly off, always some kind of seam line, sometimes even a bubble but its never that hard to correct, putty goes a long way and its rather a quick fix IMO. added: the hollowed out lasers are definitely cool. but i think it you get a one of those jewelers drill bits? like a jewelers screwdriver but it has a drill bit on the end instead, you could bore out the holes off the regular head as well as rohby's recast.

heres my S collection. i using a recast head(thanks rohby) for kaz at the moment since i haven't gotten my real S head yet. yeah i know kaz never had an S but i could care less, its still cool.

no said you suck, just that the show sucked. i watched for a sec only to find out its yet another craptastic sci-fi series. i can't even think of the last sci-fi show that i really liked? they all suck. i'd rather see a SW cartoon than some cheesey SW series with wack as actors and a lameass story line but thats just MO.

i was thinking, maybe master caster rohby would be able to make some of these? i know it would be a tremendous amount of work but i know if yamato doesn't make it, people here would definitely be willing to shell out the bucks for it. he could do one at a time on a pre-order basis(no flakers please) and get half the money up front. this is all depending on whether yamato makes them or not and rohby willing to do the work and make some money of course.

yup, thats why i think yamato made a big mistake releasing the M&M's so close together. if they were smart, they would've waited and have us longing for either or and kept the interest going.

I think you and my old roomate are the only people on earth that think the Stargate TV shows are anything but toally lame-ass. ditto that. SG1 is a yawn-fest. whats was that other horrible sci-fi show, it used to be on channel 9 or something like that, some white guy and lizard looking mofo. can't remember but man that show was sooooo bad. added, then there was earth final conflict, yeah that show was a winner.

i'm not sure exactly what its called(i'm at work right now) but i bought some glue my friend suggested and it works great on clear parts, colored parts, pretty much anything that needs to be glued. it starts off like a white glue but then dries crystal clear. i'll get the info and post it here.

call it what you will but paying retail sucks. i was trying to open a wholesale account with HLJ to do the same thing for macross toys but people here are far too untrusting. if i got like 8 people buying every new yamato release as well as anything else their heart desires, we'd all be saving mad loot. the HLJ wholesale price is about 40% less their retail price...plus shipping from HLK of course but we still would've saved grip. the 1/48 would've been like $60-$70 each but hey, i tried, no one wanted in.

A Macross World group purchase? Hmmmm..... i have all the credentials to open a wholesale account and would be more than willing to do the leg work(shipping everything out, etc) if it means we can all save some money and get us some lightsabers.

Luke or Vader's sabers will run you around $265, shipping and batteries are included in the price. When I asked about the Maul, he quoted me at $550.. being that it's two sabers in one. So be prepared to pay quite a bit more for it. yeah i've been looking at his site non-stop. whats killing me is that little display stand for $60! i know if i don't get one, i'll want one, and if i buy one, i know i'll be pissed i paid $60 for a stupid friggin stand. if i get mauls saber, i know i'll want 2 red blades and probably another color on top of that, just for shits and giggles. perhaps if we got enough people wanting to buy them, we can get them at the wholesale price but we have buy 10 sabers at once. either way, i think this jeff character is going to take me to the cleaners.

so i think i'm getting a parksaber if anything. they sound like the shiznit, and look it too. the MR's look nice but thats all it does, look nice. jeffs badboys light up and have the detachable bladez.....I MUST HAVE ONE! i'll start saving up for it now, and hopefully i'll be able to pick one up by the end of the month. i'm looking to get luke LS from ESB or vader, maybe maul, AHHHHHHH!
