well seeing as both are DYRL valks, you can take the two valks and combined them to make one good valk. the rest, you can offer up to the spare parts thread and make some of your money back.

as posted here yesterday... THIS THREAD

yeah dude, its kind of grimey when it comes to the nike skate kicks. you gotta know someone that knows someone to hook it up or your paying out the butt. skateshop workers don't make much money so adding on a "tax" on sneaks is one way to help pay their bills.
-
yeah they come with decals but they tend to SUCK. either get the takatoys or anazazi(sp?) stickers/water slide decals, they are indeed da bomb!

Would Yamato stop producing macross items soon?

i'm not sure how current that is but lets hope its not true....especially for the dudes that got ripped. if ti is true, you can bet the QC on them won't be as good as the 1st reissues, it'll be worse than the QC on the M&M's for-shee-zee -

It was back then... I got tickets for it several times from the local PD for skating in parks. I got out of skating in 87 (junior year) mostly because it had become a mainstream fad at that point... when they start selling imitation skateboards at the local woolworths you know the movement has died on the table. ... plus I found a new after school activity: dive team. I'm just glad that grunge came along so when I got out of the army and looked like a slob people just thought I was another grunger. i heard that, but i don't get tickets anymore. i usually bust out with the "look officer, i'm 29 years old, i'm a grown ass man....do i look like i'm going to trash something? i'm just an old man trying to relive his youth and enjoy myself, nothing more....". works everytime. skating is going down the tubes again, its never a good sign when you can buy real skateboards(not the bootleg BS boards) at target. i quit when i got into high school as well, i found a new hobby, i think they called it....WOMEN! grudge....i started that with my green cargo pants and chain wallet when i was 12(back in 87)....everyone made fun of me. 2 years later every kid in america had some green cargo pants and a chain wallet. i've been seting trends since 75 yo! holla!

just wondering if anyone here was in the NYC area? no freaky/dorky, "lets meet up and yap about macross" crap, just trying to see if there are any others in my area to do some group buying.
-
for those of you on the left coast, these should be an easy find. if you get them, buy some extras in sizes 9.5, 10 and 10.5 cause in a couple of months, they're gonna be selling for $400-$500 easy. seems silly but i've paid for some of my macross collection selling a few pairs of dunks.
-
it don't matter which one you pick, you''re gonna be buying them all eventually. once the valk-o-holism kicks in, its the beginning of the end for you and your wallet!

I'm 34. I "skated" back in 1985 in high school. My knowledge of skate stuff begins about 84 and ends about 87. There is such thing as selling out, the problem is people today don't notice it because everyone has sold out. About the only "culture" that exsists that has not been permiated by corporate greed and finegaling has been the Goths and they are on the doorstep of corporate takeover thanks to joints like Hot Topic and the like. Back when I had a board, a Vision shirt and an attitude you had to dig deep and look long and hard for skate stuff. It was a rebel set back then, underground. Ever since the '90s and the coming of the X Games skating has become so corporate that they might as well be on wheeties boxes. No offense but when you pimp product for someone... anyone... you are a sellout. The sad thing is we are all sellouts to some degree. i'm 29 and i still skateboard. i guess i'm not the badass that i used to be when i was younger but it still doesn't change what skating does for someone. i do it cause i enjoy it and it takes my mind off the everyday BS. gives me some "me" time away from friends, the girl, the family. its a good thing. the reason i said theres no such thing as a sell out is exactly your point, everyone "sells out" at one point or another. nowadays, its impossible to keep it real so to speak. you got no choice, sell out and eat, don't sell out and starve. whats a man to do? so to a certain degree, i do agree with you but people like to throw the word sellout around and its really not fair. its easy to call someone a sellout when you're not in that persons shoes. people can call me a sell out, but if some gay arse boy band paid me a million to dance around like a fruit cake, i'd do it in a heart beat. sure people can make fun, but i got me a million dollars.
-
you mean you haven't seen these nike skate kicks at all? they started making skate shoes again for 3-4 years or so. most of them were really small production runs and got savaged by kids from japan for $500+ a pair. oh and theres no such thing as selling out. when nike comes to you and throw hundreds of thousands of dollars, then you can talk about selling out. sorry if i'm taking this personally, but 2 of my really good friends ride for nike and they get bashed for selling out all the time. like they never wore nikes when they were growing up.
-
why not go check out this place and you'll see the other 4 SB's that are out or coming out.... nikeskateboarding you won't see these in just any old nike store, not even nike town. they're exclusives for select skateboarding shops only.
-
nope, too fishy for just about everyone here. i have no desire to buy a bunch of boxes thats probaby going to cost more to ship than the auction is worth.
-
$120 plus shipping from HK when it comes out this November....not bad, not bad at all. i got my pre-order in with Neova(click the SPOT link in my sig to see his site). i also got the max q-rau coming from him but that sucker got delayed til the middle of this month.

this might work(so i've read), if you pull on the head laser(straight out), there might be enough friction that the screw grabs hold of the plastic in the inside and just turn clockwise...righy-tighty, lefty-loosey. if that doesn't work you can split the head open, tighten the screws and glue it back together....not recommended unless its a last resort.

LOL! whenever you see the words "government", "president", "economics" and/or mention of other country names, and the post is more than 3 lines long, you've gotten too political. back on topic....and not being too political, once they have some commercial flights into space, i'm in. -
