i saw this on saturday and i didn't get a chance to reply so.... i understand peoples POV on this matter but.... 1, nobody knew beforehand that gigglez was a MW'er 2, i asked for details, he chose not to answer. 3, being a MW'er, he knows this thread exists solely for the purpose of ripping apart a questionable sale and/or auction that one of us finds. 4, knowing that and being a MW'er, why would he write up such a bad description? and expect us to say nothing about it ? lastly, i have had the not so great pleasure of dealing with this person before and i have him on my personal blacklist. hes simply a pain in the ass to deal with. sorry if i'm being mean but facts are facts and logically speaking, if someone wants the most money for his/her auction, that person has to put forth some effort when it comes to the description...its called salesmenship.

go look at the other auctions hes got going.... i'll tell you this much, i painted up a S head in the LV colors and it was a total bitch. i didn't know his recast hated paint otheriwse i would've primed it before hand, even before i glued it together. unfortunately, i did none of the above mentioned and ended up having to apply like 4 coats of paint to make the color stick. you can try and use the tape technique, but be sure to lightly sand the antennas all the way around so the paint sticks to the resin, that should help considerably.

Too bad I'm broke. dude, i can almost guarantee thats an auction for a bunch of empty boxes. i emailed the seller asking what was included in the auction? what the condition of the valks were? if its was 100% complete? if anything was broken or missing? were the stickers applied or unapplied? you wanna know the reply i got? didn't really answer any of my questions, he just copied and pasted what was in his auction description....which is as vague as an auction could be. so i asked again, heres the response i got. again, no answers to any of my questions. i'm surprised the auction is up to $200+....i can't wait to see the winners face when they receive a bunch of empty boxes from this dude.

do a light sanding of the antenna's so it holds the paint better then hit the antenna's with a little primer before painting. rohby's cast doesn't seem to like paint for whatever reason. i wouldn't use spray paint cause it'll spray everywhere. you can always spray the spray paint onto something, then brush it on yourself. hope that answers your question.

i was one of the many people who said to buy them while you can. i'm no fortune teller, so how was i, or anyone else for that matter, going to know they were going to be re-released? i'm shocked about the whole thing since most toy companies wait a while before re-releasing anything. yamato waited 2 years 3 at best to bring this sucker back....thats just weird to me and very unorthodox(sp?) for a toy company to do after such a short period of time. no laughing here, no matter how you slice it, this hobby holds people wallets hostage from the get go. $200 is nothing compared what some members ahve paid for stuff, only to find the price drop 10 fold. unfortuantely, thats just a part of collecting.

VF-) is due out this winter, though i'm not certain what the price will be. i assume it will average the same price as the 1/60's. the bandai re-issues are exactly the same as the original bandais from the 80's nothing has been changed, everything is exactly the same to my knowledge and the skull print is painted on.

I live in South Jersey about 2 hours form NY. damn thats far, i'm trying to round up some folks to get in on some group buying. buy more, get better prices, split the shipping costs, basically, try and save a bunch of money from this wallet draining hobby of ours. well hopefully others will chime in and we'll try and get this going.

Everybody get away! They're mine!!! How bad are they? I mean, mine are pretty good. Airbrake opens a millimeter when she leans forward, but that's about it. No faulty leg movement either. pull out your 1A max and compare it to a 1J super max. you'll see how the joints aren't nearly as tight, the paint job is a bit messy, some parts are a bit off color, seam lines are more noticeable, some flash left over, some parts needed sanding, etc. i completely understand that the QC level goes down since molds do degrade with each run, so keeping that in mind, how do you think the 1S is going to hold up against its past releases? i'm not saying they'll be terrible, and those that missed out are gonna be grateful, but it still not going to be up to par with the earlier valks.

well as much as i/we want the CF, yamato has taken it upon themselves to re-issue an existing valk instead of something new.

yup! good thing i don't need/want another roy....well maybe. the one thing that concerns me is how many yamato will make? i doubt they'll make the same production numbers as the first 2 times its been released....maybe half that?

Eh I usually avoid the toy forum at least we have offical confirmation from Yamato now as opposed to the guessing in the other thread. so it is 100% official now?
