There were some Invid prototypes made. I *think* I even know where some of them are today. However Gakken went under before any of them saw any sort of production. And yes... I've tried to get them and No I didn't get very far. Gakken had many Mospeada toys in the pipeline when she folded. Most are now in the hands of private collectors in Japan that won't even let them be photographed. Carl my brother and i got the cyclone, invid scout, and shocktrooper back when i was about 10 and none of them had Matchbox logos on them. all the toys were picked up in korea while my dad was on a business trip and i don't remember seeing many matchbox toys in korea when i live there or went to visit. were they invid toys made by gakken? i dunno but i'm 99.99% sure they weren't matchbox.

ha ha, i saw that auction too. yeah it seems a bit steep but those M&M's are kind of pricey to begin with. i saw a recent auction for them and the opening bid was $150 and someone actually bid!

sorry i was just speaking of toynami's possible attempt at making the cyclone ride armor. if toynami made invid toys, i still woouldn't buy them, they'd probably be all fubared straight out the box.

yamato doesn't have the mospeada license soooo...... toynami might, but then it would be craptastic like the rest of their stuff. i doubt they could be up to par with the gakken version even though gakken is a 20 year old company.

i just saw this same auction and its clearly a bootleg, even the model number is wrong. its supposed to be VR-052F not CK-052F. i'm not sure if anyone owns one of these but i imagine its not much different from the henshin robos or the gakken.

yea the red eye looks cooler than that green sticker i just used a simple red gundam marker and colored it in. it is not that real bad of a toy, i think it has good proportions and looks very nice ( I am not afraid to say it is one of my more favorite designs in macross) though the legs suck, on mine both of the pegs that hold tht legs on broke, (one broke right out of the box), and i had to find a different way to revamp and hook the legs on. i did a hack job but the legs stay on and it transforms fine, so it is no problem, i had heard that they were very weak, but i had no clue that it would break right out of the box with virtually no force whats so ever. you just used a marker? it looks like a red translucent piece to me. either way, it looks better than the bootleg green sticker thing. i never bothered to pick up the reg 11B, i heard all the horror stories with it so i went with the 11B FP to avoid the problems. i've owned this toy 3 different times and sold it 3 diffferent times. the next one i get, i'm definitely trying to keep it.

i'm really liking the red eyed 11B. that cheesy green sticker eye thing they had going on was one of the reason i hated that toy in battroid mode...i even sold it off cause it bothered me so much.

i've been meaning to collect the rest of them but i don't want to pay out the butt for the over priced M&M's not to mention the organ i'll have to donate to pick up the VE and VT.

well you could just go over to the fat dude and tell him to shut it and felex your muscles for him. one look at those "guns" and he'll be quiet.

they're not ugly, they're just chunkey! while my love for the 1/60's and 1/48's is strong, the 1/55 are still kind of cool since you can actually play play with them.

the reissues are fine, they're just as well made as the original bandai's if not better. the diecast content is the same, the FP armor stays on just fine and yes, you can do barrel rolls. they do come with stickers but most of the "what use to be stickers" are now printed on the valk itself.....it came out so nice you can actually read the small print. you can customize them, they're just as good as the jetfires of old. i think i answered everything.... hehe, all the reissues come with a heatshields except 1J hikaru.
