  1. I believe first gen 1/48's had a different headrest on the seat (apart from the velcro tabs on the box)
  2. Is the 1/60 Monster dead and/or are we gonna see other destroids/enemies? how about repairs? They won't release seperate parts (like heads) but I know 'fraude' is easily overcome by sending in the broken part for an exchange
  3. the 1/60 with 1/48 engineering feats? Even if Yamato were a manufacturer with zero QC-issues, how the hell are they gonna miniaturize the 1/48 without parts getting flimsy? even if they'd use NASA technologies, some hinges, stubs, whatever will just be too small to function properly or stay in place
  4. If you can find it in the dark remember it doesn't go up from where it went down
  5. Since when does an anime follow it's manga counterpart
  6. So who is waitng for a sequel?
  7. When will we see the results?
  8. Do you have to register?
  9. Hardon? Hard one? Well, there go my chances of percieving this anime as more that a bad 70's porn flick
  10. Heheheh, we must have the same cable saw that one too, was built about 800m from the ocean Crazy Japanese
  11. Too bad about the E7 characterdesigns, to start: the simply look like crap (and you'll bet they'll have more screentime that transforming fighters) and the fact that this may show Kawamori may have some more influence than the Mechadesigns ...increasing the chance of another bloody "Kumbayaa/naturegurou"-anime Just because I disliked Captain Planet back then, don't mean I'll swallow that Vegitarian/save the world poo today
  12. Well, here's my "guestimate": took the s/h of the Q-rau as middleground s/h costs and added 19% Tax over everything on some lone 1/60, customs didn't hit me, but most were 1/48's where s/h was at least double that of the Q-rau against todays currency (in the beginning a 1/48 cost me €120 a piece, nowadays they're less than €100) the figure I calculated on HLJ's prices (where everything was bought)gave me a rough €3500 More realistically, I probably went over €4000 (= $5200) Then to think I only miss the 2 non-canon GPB's and the TRU 1/60 CF
  13. Damn, how could I miss this thread

    A custom idea

Depends on how old-fashioned you are ...I sometimes use one as doorstopper, blunt weapon or lever
  17. hefty price at that size
  18. C'mon, we all know everything that happens on MW is Roy's fault
  19. I'm guessing €500 total (excl. taxes) If yamato is smart they would use counterweights and if they're really smart, they let you install nails/rings/whatever heavy- as such to keep S/H costs lower Neither do I,... but who cares
  20. there's something very wrong with MW's word filter if that word comes out as "batty" or a very poor choice of words
  21. Hell, the 1/60 monster was half-done might as well finish what they started
  22. I'll blame the animators for starting what they couldn't(/wouldn't) finish Like a bloody IKEA closet with missing pieces, you don't buy it Hell, they were inches of gainax-ing the last Ep Not having an end pevented that and I'm with you with the style and potential, but at the pace TB crawled, they needed 48 eps to finish it
  23. Well, I'll add another "recent" Trinity Blood Yes it's based on a novel I haven't read ...I don't read novels, I watch Anime Now it's inherent in anime you get thrown in in the middle of the story and the prolog is shown to you during the rest of the show ...in most cases it enables you to put the pieces together and explain things In this case I've seen 3-ep OVAs throw bigger breadcrumbs at you than this one now with a big charactercast some may not be "fleshed out" as good as the main characters ...but even the main characters stayed "episode 1" the few flashbacks of Nightroad explained very little and at ep 24 he looks nothing more than Dr. Jekyll/Mr. hide with many of it's arcs it seems like the writers didn't finish them (they didn't even finish the final battle) and to make things even worse: it didn't end.... Even "bubblegum Crisis" had more conclusion than this Think "Pirates of the carribean 2" without the "to be Continued" in the end ...no really, it didn't end! Animes grab my attention in the first few eps, but get judged with the last this one is like a train that ran out of tracks

    Takatoku VF1's

rarity + nostalgia - ridiculous starting prices = 1/55's are finally being appreciated at their real value instead of sellers jacking up prices...
