I cna accept artistic liscense as well... if there is room for improvement in a design, I'd rather they made it then worry about perfect line-art accuracy. Then again, there's a difference between minor tweaks and artistic liscense, but I like both.

Interesting choice... a calculating Huge Weaving voice is an intersting contrast with both the bold and brave Cullen Prime, and thecold and someitmes maniacal Megs we are used to. -

Organic also does the importing for Revoltech figures. -
Winterdyne, I am blown away, thanks for the write up. I use Citadel paints for alot of colors (earth tones, reds, greens, and mettalics) but I have had better luck with Valeijo for blues, and the best whites and greys I have worked with are from a craft paint cheapo brand... I've also found that synthetic brushes can come in handy for super fine detail work line eyes and trim, but only if that's all you use the brush for. I can't wait to see your larger scale work!

Nah, look at the pics... there's a bunch of differences... more posable hips, different arms and shoulders... instead of RT joint wrists, it's got angled joints and a different lower arm sculpt, and the shoulders are swappable for the knife and needle gun in action...
-
Only thing I can think of is people buddying up to buy 18, and one guy taing 9 with the popsicle stick thing, and the other guy taking 9 with wings and Lances... And the movie Eva-02 looks amazing... I think it's got RT joints in the hips!

Here's the Adlers Nest metal zoom scopes... I wish they'd come out with a 1/12 one as well.

Adler's Nest makes working alumimum main-scope zoom setups specifically for the Scopedog in 1/35, 1/24, and has a 1/18 model on the way. Hopefully they will do a 1/12 piece as well. They make some extremely nice military model turned brass accessories, so there is no doubt these are nice as well. HLJ has them, but I'm not sure if they come with the lens as well, or if you'd have to buy a Wave lens piece. As for Yamato Scopedog decals, you are in luck... ages ago I had Devin make me a direct copy of the two sticker sheets that come with the first release Scopedog into decal sheets... they look amazing but I haven't used them yet. I still have the master files, and I assume you could talk to Devin/Robographics and buy them. I have yet to get decals made for the Round Mover tho... I've got other decals I need first. I'm starting to think alot about the Scopedog tho, but I want to wain until I get an airbrush before I detail it up...

Ohh... looks like I made up the Lance part... well, look at it this way, you can have one Prod Eva as it appeared when they killed Eva-02, wings and Lance, and then the other as they appeared figting 02, no wings and the big popsicle stick. While a cheap marketing scheme, once you get one of each release, you realy do get two complete Production Evas, but god forbid you want them all with wings or all on the ground fighting 02 like they did.

I have the Turbo Custom Actic Gear (sensing a theme in my choices here? ) The Scopedog figure itself is really rock solid, but the add ons, due to their nature of design, are quite finicky and delicate. All those gab handles and chain links are seperate pieces, which is great for the detail freaks, but at this scale leaves you with some very delicate bits. Couple that with some poor mounting bits (especially on the TC armor waist weapons) and the HORRIBLEY flimsy attathcing seperate elbow pads, and you have a solid feeling figure with accessories that make you afraid to fidgit with it. The one thing I will say is that the Scopedog itself is really well articulated, very well balanced, and has great tight joints, and some pretty solid detail. Unfortunetaly once you start adding all the more kibbly bits, it seems like a wayste of a good underlying toy.

Wow, looks like a really nice figure... crap...

Sweet pic... BBTS sent out their latest email with preoders for the movie RT Eva figures... listed as movie verson Eva-02 and Production Eva w/ wings... looks like the Prod.Eva will come with the mass-produced Lance, and Eva-02 with the big popsicle stick looking weapon...

I'm totally psyched for new VOTOMS stuff, but yeah, the clip looks like at least partially recycled stuff... at least one quick clip looked like a bit from the OVA clip Graham posted.

Nice pic... I've always heard the Kaiyodo figus were kinda crappy... how do yours hold up? Personally, I like the mettalic colors of the SoC Evas more... On a more random note, does anyone have pics or have heard any news about the STIKFAS Eva figures listed on HLJ?
-
That OVA fotage was Awesome! Please please please someone sub them! On another note, BBTS is having a sale, and you can currently grab the Yamato 1/12 Strong Bracchus for about $130... I'm tempted to grab one, but I just got a big HLJ order (I hate HLJ) of books and the MF Turbo Custom figure, and some concert tickets, so I dunno if I'll get one. I really just want a CHirico figure, a generic AT jockey figure once it is unveild, and the new RSCw/ Weapons set when it comes out.

Which one is Destroy Gundam?

The SPEC Eva has a more accurate sculpt, but honestly, I think the differences are negligible, being mostly in proprtions... the armor fits very well and doesn't cause any problems (except in super-crazy-extreme ankle angles.) The color honestly looks too light t be anime correct, and I had just finished watching NGE when the toy arrived, so it stood right out. It's only about an inch taller than the SoC Eva at best I think, but the SoC Eva weighs more and has a more solid stance... The leg armor being die-cast is alright, but I would have much rather had a metal internal frame with plastic armor. The articulation really has to be seen to be appreciated, but the head is not that good... the jaw is loose, can't be bent mot of the time due to where it sits in relation to the neck, and can get cocked at a funny broken-jaw looking angle due to the neck, and the articulation of the armored head isn't great due to the back collar of the head armor hitting on the spine bump. The hands are great, reallly well sculpted, but honestly there are just too many... it makes palying with and posing the toy a hassle due to having a different hand for basically every accessory, but they do look great. So basically what I don't like is the all plastic frame, the cheesier feel due to said plastic frame, the plastic joints not being super tight for a partially die-cast toy (not floppy persay, but just barely enough for the hip lateral movement,) the poor head articulation, and my single biggest gripe other than the plsatic frame is the loose handguard on the larger sword... it's something I just need to sit down and fix, but right now it falls off super easy, making sword poses a pain. The thing is, this isn't a bad toy, but since I got both the SoC Eva and the SPEC Eva at the exact same time, and I was really looking for a playable toy, the SoC Eva won hands down, and I really really love it. However, for an Eva hardcore, the SPEC Eva is more accurate and more detailed, and can do more of the famous anime poses. And yet the SoC Eva just has so much more charm, satisfaction, and fun to it.
