I can't help but think the Perfect Gundam would look so much better if it was either all white or maybe with a touch of orange trim and nothing else besides lots of markings, and considered a test type setup... but yeah, as it stands, it's got waaaay too many Gundam colors to it.

Actually it would, bc/ in reality, you are sucking bandwidth from their site by nabbing their hosted images... and bandwidth is money.

I dunno, I've got three 1/48s (with a fourth coming for customizing) and I've payed aorund $150-$160USD each time, and I'm totally happy with them. I bought one 1/60 before I got my 1/48s for around $50, and I wasn't too thrilled, but I am glad now that I have one for scale with the new releases and other things in 1/60 scale (stupid niche scale as it is.) I've never had a problem with the 1/48 feeling light or cheap, rather I am totally happy with the feel and have never head something break on me aside from one stuck hip joint that was enameled together in the box. I guess it's just a personal taste thing, like the CHunky Monkey, which, while it feel impressive, Im not a fan of the sculpt or atciulation on.

Kung Flu, I only have paint brushes and spray paint as well... check out some of my stuff either in my sig links or search for my threads on hobbyfanatics.com It's all in going easy on the spray paint, and using thinned down brush coats.

I think Kaz is the latest... the CF has very good finishing as far as I've seen... I love mine.

My goddamn SPEC Eva's right hip came apart today! &%*#!&!!!! I took the hip rubber cover apart to look at the break, and the lateral swivel bit crumbled along the screw collar... def. looks like a defective and weak joint waiting to fall apart rather that my breaking it. Is there any way for me in the US to contact Bandai and talk to them about an SoC toy? I want this replaced, and then I might debate selling of the replacement anyways because I really don't like this toy, even tho it has some nice accessories and is incredibly pose-able.

I paint mine. I did like you described on mt second MG RX-78[G] and only painted the details, but it doesn't look that hot. I haven't done a Gundam model in a while now tho... last thing I did was my MKII v2, and I've got an assembled PG Gundam sitting on my work bench just asking for a sweet custom scheme and some minor detail mods, and a few boxed MGs...

I have only actually been watching anime for a little whole now, and I probably own around twenty percent of it... Macross and VOTOMS DVDs, the Patlabor movies, Gundam Wing Endless Waltz and F91, and some Miyazaki. I have on my computer almost all of Gundam, and a few misc other shows (Elfen Lied, Mac0, BGC 2040, Patlabor TV, NGE, FMA, and Mospeada.) I find that DVDs are waaaay overpriced, and alot of my stuff is either unavanliable stateside, or TV rips anyways...

This isn't exactly the right place for that, but if you send anasazi a PM, you could discuss having the Yamato toy's sticker sheet reproduced as a decal sheet, but I don't know how much he's been doing that service lately, and he isn't printing the decals anymore, Robographics is, but anasazi's still handling the images far as I know.

Hopefully the first thing they die-cast up are the back and wing hinges and such, and then maybe some of the other joints, and some in the legs to provide better balance. Hopefully as well, they don't make alot of the black parts on the plane die-cast, bc/ the black painted die-cast will never match the black molded plastic...

Yeah, I was assuming that they were just A1 ripped as well, not CGi enhanced...

I watched Sunday night and Monday night's first episodes, mostly because I needed background noise while painting, and not having cable, there's never ANYTHING on... it was mildly entertaining at first, or at least lukewarmly tolerable, but I wasn't seeing anything to really hold me... I gave up yesterday around the police interrogation bits where we wrecked the lead character... too silly for me.

There are both normal colored and Stealth colored FPs avaliable seperately.

I think part of the issue is simply where to hold a 1/48 FP in Battroid mode... think about it, the 19 has a nice flat pelvis bit to hold onto from the underside, but the 1/48 just has the nosecone there... maybe there'd be a way to wrap around the nosecone from the rear, but I dk what angles the stand bends at for that.

The thing is, with a little tweaking on the angle you put the hand at, you can just use the gunpod hand when transforming anyways...

Hi, welcome to the boards... Most of your questions can be answered with a quick search on the topic, or by looking at the toy reviews on the main page basically what it boils down to is the 1/60 has some parts removal/swapping, while the 1/48 has none (except the intake covers and optional alternate hands.) And the loose nose cone issue on the 1/48 really only applies to the 1st release Hikaru DYRL VF-1A, as extra tabs were retroactively added to the mold after that.)

Was is subbed in English? I'd really like to see the rest of them OVAs besides LRS...

It looks nice... but I would worry about it eventually stressing and coming off... I woulda just cut it off and used a pin anyways... bu neat that you managed a simple solution.

You know what, if these new ones are simply copies of the MPCs, but with changes like better paint apps, fixed arched back fighter problem, more durable materials, better placed die-cast, and ratchety joints, it would probably be worth the MPC price...

I hear ya DH... it';s the built in stuff that leaves us with big chunky compromised bots... And I didn't understand why there were so many questions about grading either... I've never bought a graded toy, and really have no need for one... in my open answer, I explained that graded stuff is of no use to me bc/ I open and display all my toys...

Oh balls, you know what I just realized we all shoulda put on our surveys? Less twisty ties in the packaging! I've damaged TF trying to liberate them from those twisty prisons...
