  1. Hmm... mine have all been taken out and displayed, some are custom decaled and weathered, but my Roy 1S with Strike armor is currently away... I handle mine and transform them and fool around with them alot. They aren't fragile, so I don't worry about handling them.
  2. I must admit, but while I hate die-cast, I have been impressed with how the paint on my SOC Eva hasn't chipped... unfortunately, if you look at the swing bar and landing gear doors on the 1/48 and the legs on the 1/60, Yamato does not have the same miracle chip-free diecast the larger companies do...
  3. Haha, but if you watch the beginning of the series, that's about what the 1J always looks like
  4. It's utterly ancient by today's standards... you can prolly find it online to download really easily on some old games archive site. I've got a copy that came as part of the 100 free games cd from the big anniversary of one of the Computer gaming magazines from ages ago, I'm just terrible at the game...
  5. For some reason, I really do like the Soundwave... stuff like the transformable headphones seem clunky and impractical, but if Soundwave was made bullet-proof durable and had enough space, I could see myself using it...
  6. The new designs are pretty neat... they have an advanced Inbit-tech feel to them almost... the only thing is, why would we need a Mospeada sequel after the nicely wrapped up slightly hippy-dippy ending of the series? I agree tho that the Legioss2 could use some v-stabs...
  7. This is true... while non-transforming toys of transformable designs are kinda goofy, they fill a different spot in a collection, especially where the RTs are concerned as they are soooo very playable and fun.
  8. I wouldn.'t buy the SPEC Eva again anyways... the plastic frame is waaay too delicate and cheesy feeling. Go buy an SOC Eva or a Revoltech Eva unless you simply MUST have all that detail...
  9. Hopefully it does get produced. I've got RTs, the MF Scopedog, and an Actic Gear sitting here on my desk, and the MF 'Dog is bigger than the RTs, but the RT figures are still waaaay bigger than the Actic Gear.
  10. I don't see elbow joints... I wonder if they are going to try again with a flexible cover over an internal skeleton... I'm not sure how much I would trust that in HCMPro size...
  11. What's that... oh, Revoltech VOTOMS? That's the sound of MF being priced out of the market and shot down completely by better figures...
  12. I'm hoping for a Yamato Red Shoulder Custom.... that's aLOT of stuff in 1/12 scale.
  13. Toynami Superposables have NOTHING in common with Revoltech figures. SPs are pure PVC with poor joints, shoddy paint, and overdone stylized sculpts... the Revoltech figure is a near perfect representation of the anime Battroid, has more solid PVC and a better paint job, and has Revoltech joints, which are plastic and SUPER awesome articulated.
  14. You know what, now that you mention it, I'm not sure... for some reason I had gotten it into my head that Bandai would do something about it. Did HLJ charge you for the shipping on the replacement part?
  15. Sounds neat, good to see the Burglary Dog get some more love, but I still can't say I'm that excited as it's just such a small toy...
  16. Right... 1/200 is reaaaal small, like, around the size of the Gashapon figures. Based on the other figures in the line, and some Battroid kits I've got, this'll be between 1/72 and 1/100, probably closer to 1/100 than 1/72 I think
  17. Iron Gear is a neat design...I don't know anything about Ideon or Xabungle, but the Ideon toy looks amazing, and a really nice Iron Gear might tempt me for the design alone... I'm also thinking about getting a Mazinger, probably either the 1R or 2R if I ever get around to it. PS- UN, what did it take to get the replacement parts from HLJ? I'm not sure if that's the best solution here, but it's worth a try.
  18. I don't mean to be a pain, but while the 1/48's will look OK with a little weathering, if you really want a good looking figure out of them, there's alot more work to be done, especially in filling gaps, removing mold lines, and filling some of the hollows (like the three-walled arms!! grr.) Post pics when you're done tho... I've got one 1/48 (TC as well) that I intended to weather and whatnot, but I've since decided that if I were going to do it, it really needs to be taken apart and fixed up first, and then completely painted, which I don't feel like doing on such a small toy.
  19. YES! I'm already excited.
  20. WOW! There's some gorgeous stuff there... the CMs stuff all looks amazing... I assume the wonkyness of the combined fighters is simply prototype teething , but the inclusion of all those Mospeada minifigs is awesome. And is that really the Toynami Mospeada on the bottom?
  21. ZOMG!!! Finally I can be rid of my Toynami superposables... this is fantastic news, and the figure already looks great with the classic anime proportions. One thing I would have changed would be to make the kneepads attatched to the lower legs like on the Toynami sculpt. Good to see RT joints in all the right places.. and the head sculpt is neat. Looks a bit wider and squatter than the typical 1J head, but I really like it for some reason. Here's hoping we get more Macross Battroids and maybe some other mecha!
  22. Here's the promised pics of my detailed MF Scopedog Turbo Custom toy, and a shot of my Yamato Scopedogs (thanks so much Graham!!!)
  23. I THINK the idea for the Rebuild part was stated as trying to streamline and uncomplicate the murkiness of the latter portion of the series. The poster looks good, but there's nothing new there. I assume the designs won't change much either, which isn't a bad thing, if they can finally decide on one final satisfying ending. And besides, Shinji IS so VERY alone by the end.... mostly because he's a pussy.
  24. Is there a picture of Tomino's original coloring for the 78-2? I knew it was supposed to be white, but I've never seen an actual pic for the trim and stuff... I've got an extra PG lying around and that might not be a bad scheme to use...
  25. Ooooohey! Looks like some well reinforced bits... hopefully die-cast on POM, but POM parts might do alright as well. I'm totally excited for this...
