  1. Hmmm... in no particular order, my top four Yamato toys are: 1/60 YF-19 1/12 Scopedog(s) 1/48 VF-1 and accessories (FAST packs and GBP) 1/72 YF-19 The VF-0 would get a spot in there, because it really is amazing looking, but it just isn't durable or playable... the 19 is plenty of fun to transform and zoom around, the VF-1 is plenty rugged, the 1/72 19 is nice and heavy and playble (and a classic) and the Scopedogs are just just robust and amazing, but the 0 series has quirks that currently ruin the toys for me.
  2. I just grabbed the purple Melquia forces 'Dog and another Red Shoulder... both for less than the MSRP of one Scopey... it's been a good day EDIT: and I'm debating grabbing a Strong Bracchus and another RS so I can do the two pit-fighters, but I'm more a military guy than a gladiator guy, so I can live without.
  3. Can't wait to pick up a Fyana for my BD... and when the Yamato RS set comes out, that'll bring my 1/12 'Dog collection up to 4... kinda scary. The 1/18 Rabidlydog looks great and I'm still debating getting it as well... it might make a good friend for the 1/18 Turbo Custom when it comes out (I cannot wait!) The new 1/20 models look amazing as well and I cannot wait for more releases... I've got the Scopedog with metal extras sitting at home and the new BD on its way from hlj... they are gorgeous kits. And wow... that link you posted has some amazing deals on the Yamato dogs... I'm especially impressed that they can offer the Red Shoulder dog for so little when it is limited to *200* pieces worldwide I should grab another. EDIT2... crap... I should actually pick up that Melquia armed forces dog for 70 bucks...
  4. The colored Prime looks awful, but alot of the other designs kinda work... I could see this being much better than I initially expected.
  5. Oh man, I'm soooo jealous. I just started college and have to leave all my model kits home for now... all I've got are some minis and paints, but no primer... I miss all the VOTOMS kits I snatched up before the summer.
  6. Same. It looks better to me.
  7. Looks great.... the VOTOMS stuff in that link looks amazing too.
  8. Why are there two? If it doesn't break like the SPEC Eva and is reasonably priced, I wouldn't mind picking up the first one you linked...
  9. The M3 is looking great and really is the perfect Macross mecha source that the mecha compendium always seems to want to be. Can't wait to see the game valk update.
  10. I picked up the hardcover of the Ultimate Galactus trilogy the other day, and I must say, it's one of the best modern books I've read in a long time, especially coming from Marvel. It works perfectly on its own, has fantastic art (Im a big fan of good detailed pencil work) and an engaging retelling of Galactus that really clicks in the Ultimate vein. I've got the Ministry of Space hardcover sitting on my shelf, which I intend to read next... any fans?
  11. As long as it does actually come out well-done I can live with delays...
  12. There are two free programs for converting video files... i don't have them with me as I just moved to my new college computer, but it's like 3GP something and PSP Video Express 9 I think... if you do a quick search of how to convert videos for the PSP you should find them. As for accessories, I have a rubbery grip sleeve for my PSP which I really like, a screen cover, and a replacement thumb-stick that is large and rubbery... I do hugely better with it that the flat slider piece, and I highly recommend it of nothing else.
  13. Bainkafu looks friggen incredible and I've never heard of beore yesterday but now want to check it out... Iron Gear looks incredible as well... I'm debating adding both to my huge list of preordered stuff from HLJ. I cannot see the appeal behind Raideen at all... I'm too young to have been a Super Robot kid at all, but the designs of Mazinger and the various Getters have grown on my some, but something like Raideen just looks ridiculous to me. I'll stick to my VOTOMS thank you very much.
  14. I must admit, I didn't get much out of 0080 when I watched it... neither the Kaempfer or the NT-1 are particularly appealing designs to me (0083 is my favorite Gundam production ever.) I can see where people find a somewhat compelling story in it, but it really didn't do that much for me.
  15. My 1/48 GBP
  16. I still need to pick up an Alt Hot Rod and Mirage at some point... but I did manage to find a 6" Titanium Rodimus today... didn't open it up, but it looks like a solid figure.
  17. I got my kit about a month ago when I stopped home on my day off... had time to just crack it open and check out a couple of the parts and I've gotta say, it looks amazing, and I'd probably be in for picking up the variant I did not get if a second run does come around.
  18. I would be extremely interested...
  19. But will they brighten up the shots at all so you can actually see /anything/??
  20. Saw it last night.... I really liked it. It was definitely better than the show has been in years... One not very spoilerish thing... did anyone else who saw it think that the scene with Homer's epiphany was remarkably similar to the TV ending of Evangelion when Shinji has the epiphany and he is applauded? It was eerily similar...
  21. I absolutely LOVED it! Absolutely worth the ten years this series has taken... and the last 150 pages with the huge battle were some of the best fantasy action I remember reading in a long time!!
  22. But think of how lovely a shelf that'll end up being.... and heavy!
  23. If nothing else, I'd give it a dark panel line wash... you don't need to dirty it up if you don't want to, but making the details 'pop' that much more really helps on these little guys, esp. on this new higher end one with more detail to share.
