  1. Wow! Those decals look great. Can't wait to see this finished... I buy Adler's Nest stuff from HLJ in case you were still curious...
  2. Hmm... I've finally got one of every release (minus the Scopedog II w/ Round Mover, bc/ I've already got the 'Dog and Mover to make this set) including a second RS to make a Purple Bear with the visor included with the Bracchus.... so I think I'm good, but you never know. I'm just hoping some enemy mecha finally come out.
  3. That's the spirit! A true Macross fan in our midst
  4. The new Ingrams look amazing and heavily armed... I might pick up a unit 2 to go with the Alphonse I already have.
  5. There's really two ways to go about doing it... if the whole 'disassemble-able' thing doesn't matter to him, he can just glue the arms and legs on, and even glue the upper arm covers if they come off alot (I've got one like this that someone else glued, and I end up playing with it the most) or you can clear nail-polish the arm and leg sockets... I also found that adding like two layers of clear nail-polish to v1 Scopedogs helps a ton with the ankles, and adding some clear nail-polish to the shoulder ball-joint on all of them helps a ton as well... I've also got an elbow mod I do on all of my Scopedogs (when I get the time... got a ton of new ones) that allows for about another 15 degrees of mobility (think another 'click's worth) that can be done with about twenty minutes with a Dremel and some small files...
  6. Out of the box some of the versions do have some issues holding together, but some clear nail polish or super glue on a few key areas fixes that in no time...
  7. Does that new trailer spoil any of the plot? Bc/ I don't want to watch it if it does...
  8. Yup... that's the Battletech vibe... I've done a few in CBT schems, but the paintjobs on them are pretty terrible... Your Crusader/GBP repose is great looking as well... much more natural than the stock kit.
  9. I've heard more consistent poor reviews of Mp3 Soundwave's sound quality than iPod Prime... and all I really need the setup for, like I said, is as an iPod dock-charger and basic enough speakers to use as an alarm clock... I don't listen to music out-loud much ever (I prefer my surround sound headphones on my computer, which configure nicely to 7.1 without the .1...) so having amazing quality isn't a big deal for me. Couple in the decent setup with a great Prime figure (altho I might pick up some ReproLabels to spice up the bot mode a bit) and it's fine for me... EDIT: I still wish they'd release a stripped down MP3 Soundwave as a Classics figure or something without the electronics... I want that freakin figure.
  10. Hmmm... that's not cool. I've heard other people say they sound decent... nothing that bad.
  11. Eh.... I think I'm gonna grab the white one from BBTS... it's got great novelty, and will serve my purposes as an iPod charger-dock and speakers for my alarm clock... that's all I need.
  12. It'd be stupendous to get it to $120 in 1/72 scale... but $150 in 72nd is fine too... I'm usually not too keen on kits over that price point...
  13. Okay, I am torn... I need a new iPod speaker bc/ my iHome has officially sh!t the bed... so I'm looking at a Music label Convy w/ Speakers... I'm not a huge fan of the all white version, but BBTS has it for like a hundred bucks... and HLJ doesn't even have an open preorder yet for the G1 colored version, whcih doesn't come out until March...
  14. Hmm.... that's pretty expensive. I don't really need a multi-moded model, and if that's the price range for the size, I can handle something in 72nd or 48th much better...
  15. The SPEC Eva has terrible breakable hips, and IMO isn't a very good sculpt... I really don't like it... the Movie Realisation figs are neat looking, but I don't think they're anything I really /need/...
  16. I'd probably go with the 1/32 scale as well... I'm more interested in the bot mode, and that's be a great model for that scale.
  17. I....er.... don't think Jon reissues kits... and this kit is over a year and a half old... the molds are probably long gone...
  18. That is a damn good idea and a really impressive display... I'm jealous. Just thought... you could go really nuts and make a Defender and Phalanx Destroid as well... the Defenders are much easier to find IMO.
  19. Yup... that monster would definitely win me over.
  20. The RSC parts are $61 on HLJ, but backordered... seems kinda pricey, but they do add alot more to the figure than something like the Round Mover does...
  21. Yup.... break fluid is good for stripping METAL, but not plastic.... same with acetone.
  22. You know, that's true... they have to be at least some kind of ultralight... the one big thing is that the official cutaway artwork shows the thigh bits attaching to the leg armor for extra load-bearing, bc/ even tho I'm sure the unit it ultralight, it isn't weightless. I can deal with it either way, as not connecting the thigh armor to the knee allows for proper posability, which is what I'm all about.
  23. 1/60 YF-19. Close second is my 1/48 Cannon Fodder.
  24. I was thinking it might be easier to just lightly sand off the scorch marks with some 400 or 600 grit... and maybe use a chemical on the nosecone... I could always just paint it real quick... but the plastic color will match so much better. I bet the blue of the nosecone is a more solid plastic and/or a much mower stress area and as such not at risk for fatigue. The wing joints are just a finicky area and need some care when worked on.
  25. I never had more than the smallest of stress-marks on my MP-03 and I would mess around with it ALOT... hopefully my Hasbro MPSS will be as good.
