I'm gonna be annoyed if Takara's cartoon colored MP SS comes with the cape and crown... I'm considering picking up a Skywarp, but I'm not buying a third Starscream.
-
Ooooey! I've got RAWs of the whole first DVD, but I do still need subs. Can anyone provide the link to the subs? Either here or in a PM?

Hmmm...... THAT'S not gonna work so much...

Can't speak for the differences btw/ Movie and TV Eva releases (all I have is the clear promotional Eva-00 and Eva-04) but I can tell you that you DO WANT the labor figs. They are the best in the whole line IMO with the best sculpting and being the most fun... I LOVE my Ingram and HellDivers and Brocken.
-
oooooh, I WANT that kit. Sick design...
-
Ouch, that hurts Mine's got a replacement set from HLJ that hasn't broken...

Provided the price is tolerable, I'll probably pick this up.... I wish the Legioss sat higher in fighter mode when docked with the Tread, but other than that I cna live with the compromises for such a ridiculous design.

Macross 25th Anniversary TV Special thread *READ THE 1ST POST*
promethuem5 replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Just watched MF ep 1 subbed and it was AMAZING! It was visually incredible 9I don't like CGI in anime so much, but it was seamless!) and the characters seem good enough, and the anime was good, and the music was great (and Sheryl's a babe!) I am sooooo psyched for the rest of this series. -
If you're interested in the original SPEC Eva as well... check the FS forum
-
That is incredible.... I'm surprised we haven't seen more RT stop-animation. All I ever see are people still using Gundam toys for animation...
-
I think it looks stellar... why don't you like the chrome? G1 Megs is covered in chrome...
-
There haven't been any pics that I know of, but plenty of rumours and news saying we're getting Prowl (I'm super excited), another triple-changer, and a tank character... there's more but I forget what. And, for the record, Fire Convoy is for some reason my second or third favorite Prime toy ever... it and the three Autobot Car figs from Car-Robots/RID was what got me back into Transformers after the slump at the end of Beast-Wars and the waste of time that was Beast Machines.
-
Classics was a great line... it's just a shame it was considered a filler line by Hasbro when it was my fav. line since Alternators started.
-
See, I'm funny like that too.... I'm only 18, so the best I can claim is that I managed to see the tail-end of G2... By soul-less, I mean that new TF toys just don't seem as inventive or amazing to me... G1s and such just get me all excited with that wonderful chrome and die-cast parts and less than stellar articulation... plus I enjoy the aesthetic more of the G1 toys... all realistic colors and real cars and planes and such... at least until the movie...
-
I've realized that the Transformers I actually like and want to collect are the Masterpieces, and G1 toys as well... I'd like to have a complete set of '84 and '85, and the main Movie characters. The modern stuff is just too soul-less and kid-toy-like. They're well made toys and all, but I just don't have any use for them.

Yeah, we were talking about it a little on the last page, it's the DMZ Turbo Custom... I just got it, and it's my first DMZ and I absolutely LOVE it. Can't stop playing with it... all the joints are immaculately tight ad nerdgasmically clicky... the accessories are awesome, and the articulation is incredible. If I were going to nitpick, and this is a real big nitpick, besides the Microman pilot (all Microman toys suck), my only issue with the whole toy is that the turbo boosters are mounted on the legs instead of the feet (a common cheat for this design), so you cannot pose the boosters in-line with the feet at any angles.... BUT, they are spring-loaded in the legs, which is just awesome. The paint job is slick without being overdone as well, and with the entire toy being pained, it looks incredible.

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
promethuem5 replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Wow, this 100% amazing! I really don't like the old 1/60 VF-1, and while I've already got four 1/48s, having a PT VF-1 in 1/60 with such a gorgeous sculpt is killer. Gonna hang onto my 1/48s for sure tho. -
FFN, do you like, work for Hasbro or another toy company? I notice you're always on the defensive for Hasbro and the like in discussions... was just curious.
-
I'd like to get this, but then I've gotta bite the bullet in modding my PS2 some way, or doing the disk swap... fortunately it's a fatty PS2.

I'm seriously LOVING my DMZ TC... I'm looking at getting the RabidlyDog, which is on-sale for around a hundred bucks on HLJ... any reason I won't love it as much as my TC? I'd kinda like to get the StrikeDog as well, but it's expensive, and VOTOMS toys typically have big problems holding rocket-launcher weapons like that...

Both are amazing.... I'm sooo jealous. In other news, my dad helped my re-solder my Galvatron's electronics and now it works!

So, I was trying to mount the weapons on my second Actic Gear fig, the Standing Tortoise, and it was just such a mess I got so mad that I decided to sell both my Actic Gear figs... gave up on keeping my SPEC Eva fig as well...

It seems like somewhere along the line, someone must have made a resin kit of it... weird. I must admit, after all the good things I've been hearing about the different new versions of BR, I'm a little curious again... maybe I'll try and find the new 'Final Cut' somewhere, and I'm also curious to see the Workprint version, and the accompanying documentary.

I've actually managed to curtail my forum action to a core few... all the ones I post at are: Here, tfw2005 hobbyfanatics lordsofthebattlefield samurai-monkey forums the 1up forums PrivateerPress Forums I also have an account on robotjapan but rarely check it... At this point I only actually check MW and tfw like a fiend... SM I check around once every day or two for Moscato updates and the like... HF I post on occasionally, 1up I think I have 1 post on... RJ I've got a single digit number... PP I rarely check, and LotB I hardly check anymore as I'm not that into CBT at this point... but I do basically always have tabs open for MW and tfw now, so it's still pretty bad

Never understood the lack of a seal myself... it really is quite ridiculous with how easy the boxes open and how valuable the contents are.
