Official 1/60 YF-21 News & Picture Thread (ver.2)

Gunpod mounts and rotating-folding landing gear are serious win... I'm gonna have to get a preorder for this guy. -
Yeah, but I'm fairly certain Sideswipe will look better with the hood-chest than SS does with the roof-chest.
-
Ahhh,, it looks MUCH better pose and in glamour shots like that... now I don't know.
-
I LOVE the RX-8 mold for Shockwave too, but Skids was always my favorite for some reason... (I like all the Alt molds, but I like the Suburu mold least bc/ it is less posably in the arms.) Sunstreaker looks pretty good in bot mode, but the engine looks tacked on in vee. mode and not actually part of the car... why is it attached to the roof?
-
Hmmm... a SHCMP Zaku II I could buy... I do love me green dirty walking-tank mechs...
-
I'm not sure if I'd top three it, (bc/ Connery really, truly is my only actual Bond), but it's definitely a great film, and I still managed to see it twice in theaters... and it was greatly needed after the dearth of bad Brosnan flicks (read: all of them)
-
Ahhh, I'm always so torn on Rubsigns... if they're well placed, their awesome, but too many times rubsigns are in terrible places (I'm looking at you G1 cars!)
-
So is this a totally new original Bond story? Bc/ while I didn't get the whole Bond vibe from most of the last one, the last scene gave me chills as it delivered on all the Bondyness the rest of the movie had intentionally with-held... I'm excited.
-
Ah, thanks... April it is then.

Kinda a dumb question (hence asking here).... but do we know when Macross F will start as a full series? I can't find that info in any of the other MacF threads and don't want to derail their discussions there.

Got mine today... I still think he's the weakest mold... he does look great in dino-mode tho, but Sludge is still a way-more fun toy.
-
Haha, that's a legit reason... Swoop was my first Dinobot (a real miserable one too... missing an arm, no sword, floppy as hell)... I got a seocnd junker on eBay about a month ago and fixed up my Swoop to real nice shape... the others I've all just bought whole for good deals, and are in really nice condition. Got a Blurr and two Insecticons today (Kickback and Shrapnel)... Blurr had the typical broken shield peg, but I fixed it some a metal rod and some styrene... works good as new. Gotta find a gun for him now... and the Instecticons are totally rad... I love them (paid $18 each for immaculate condition w/ all parts, Techs, and Instructions)... Shrapnel has to be one of the worst designed figures ever tho... the arms are mounted on a collar that is screwed on, meaning that the arms simply unscrew off the body if you rotate them enough...

Haha, multi-franchise spoiler Radd...

I'm trying to figure out where all the 9/11 allusion theories keep coming from... can we now not have anything bad happen to NYC in film without 9/11 naysayers?
-
When I saw it, the theater was full of 14-16 yr-olds, who felt about the same way... I think you partially need to know what kind of experience to expect going into the film... that or, middle-schoolers are just dumb (my personal theory).
-
It'd didn't need morals anyways... there were people to squish! Seriously... I'm pretty sure that distinct moral statements were the last thing this movie needed... and the lack of backstory was the point of the movie.

Well, Masterpiece Starscream in the US Hasbro/cartoon colors is pretty-much a confirmed release... there've been rumors of a Vs. pack with complete MP-Convoy and Megatron w/ trailer and gun-accessories... but I sitll find that one unlikely, as it'd be amassive box with a f*ckton of stuff in it... like, $400 of stuff in it... and now there's rampant wild speculation about a MP Grimlock, with no actual evidence at all...
-
I was impressed with the response... but I was curious, where's the closest army-base to NYC that has deployable Abrams? I'm from Upstate, so I have no idea what's down there...
-
I dunno... Triceratopsen are neat, but as a whole figure Slag isn't great... his bot mode has slightly off proportions. Don't get me wrong tho, I LOVE the Dinobots, and am glad I finally decided to bone up ad get them all... and Swoop was my first, so it's not like I had ever even gotten to experience the chunky-awesome Dinobot molds until a little while ago...
-
Honestly, the only things that have ever really kept me hooked in ST are the technical marvel side of the ships, the future Earth info we get, and the sound of how awesome Kirk is... the teaser was neat visually, even if technically silly... but plot-wise i have zero expectations. Shatner's the only Captain I need...

1/60 perfect transforming vf-1 from yamato?
promethuem5 replied to Shaggydog's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Oh man, it's like the perfect bastard-mix of 1/48 and old 1/60... I LOVE it. -
For what they were, the Alternators were totally awesome, but as a whole TF line, it was a boring line after the third round of repaints... TFs can't ALL be cars. In other news... one G1 Dinobot to go after finding a great deal on Slag (the weakest dinobot mold) today... all that's left is Snarl, and some accessories.
-
The end was NOT a nuclear weapon, as there would be no camera footage surviving due to the EMP effect and massive devastation...
-
I just finally got a G1 Grimmy a couple weeks ago, and he is def. one of the best looking G1 toys (and best dinobots after Sludge, who I love for his articulation and character)... still not seeing anything to actually suggest MP-Grimlock beyond wild speculation tho...
