  1. Hmm... I wish the MkI GFFMC Psycho was even remotely findable... the MkII is so ugly!
  2. I'm looking forward to watching the movie versions of MSG, but I feel that if I watch them right after I finish the series, I'll get bored. I'm only just now finally watching the Z movies, and I finished Z ages ago.
  3. You're right on the Zaku... I finished snapping mine the other day, and then went to break it down for painting... I couldn't get the legs back off they were so tight! The lateral swivel piece separated from the hip 'top' before the main joint came out.
  4. I'll buy MG The-O for sure.
  5. Thanks for the comments... I think I agree with you that the chipping ended up being a bit overdone.
  6. Scoped out and joined! About time.
  7. Here's the dirty finished squad! Overall thoughts of this project: I had a good time doing it, and the subjects were an interesting change of pace. There's some chipping around the joints on the figures that bugs me a bit, but I can't really see anyway to fix with the design of the figures as they are.
  8. Alright, These bad boys are done, barring anything the buyer notices, so I'm posting them for review, and once I'm given the OK they'll be off to their new home. First up is the clean squad:
  9. The detail looks great, and those decals are on smooooooth!
  10. I will most likely buy the Toynami version when it comes out... hopefully it is just as good. This puppy looks gorgeous.
  11. UC Hard Graph Type-61 I am in love Anyone ever built a Hard Graph kit? I'm thinking about getting the mobile scout set after watching that ep of MSG, and I'll definitely be picking up the 61 to fight my Jumbo Grade Zaku.
  12. Bert, those kits are all gorgeous! The Tunisia Pz IV is especially well done.
  13. I'm working on the matte varnishing of all the figures... it's tedious, but not too bad seeing as I basically throw the matte varnish on a spot on all the figures and leave it to dry... I'll have finished pics once they're totally done and I can get time to take nice pictures before packing these guys up... maybe on Thursday, or if not, by the weekend.
  14. ISTJ...
  15. Why would JF's pre-earth mode be a Blackbird SR-71?
  16. I think I'd go broke if I could buy direct from AN... I just installed a turned metal gun barrel and camera eye and shoulder spikes to my MG Zaku II ver 2 and am preparing to paint... the parts are gorgeous and fit perfectly.
  17. Holy crap! Adler's Nest has increased their catalog again!
  18. Okay, had to go back home for some other stuff this weekend, and got to meet my Jumbo Zaku... this thing is amazing! I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to enhance the elbow articulation, but otherwise it really doesn't need anything... the legs are straight, but the swivel at the 'hips' so you can splay the feet, and it looks amazing. The paint work is great, except for some kind of glue funk on one of the front skirt bits. I will most likely add some detailing and weathering so it can sit next to my 1/35 tanks, but honestly, Bandai did a fantastic job keeping this from looking like a gaudy vinyl jumbo. I am in love, and now debating getting a Gundam, even tho I don't have any room for it !! Edit: I snuffed my lust for the Gundam Jumbo by buying the Metal FF G3... anyone got the Metal FF figs?
  19. I finished the gear and mud and applied the Future coat, which is gonna dry over night, but it's too dark here to take any pics. These guys are basically done now, and I'll wait until they're complete to post anymore.
  20. OK, settled back in at school, and this is what I did tonight... used drybrushing to finish everyone's undersuits and Scorch's armor... then did the white chipping on the paintwork for Scorch and did the weathered squad's real chipping and other battle damage. I also got the basecoat on the gear and stared the metals for Scorch's fuel canisters(?) This is pretty much in the home stretch now... the clean squad is effectively done, and the weathered team needs dirt applied, then it's sealer layers for everyone!
  21. Thanks. Can you tell me if the Zaku's legs are sculpted all the way up with the skirt on top, or is it one piece with the legs starting at the bottom of he skirt?
  22. I like the weathering OD version alot... it's not worth the $200 it'll cost, but the OD fading to the initial tan color is a sweet effect, provided they keep it subtle enough on the production release, unlike the first weathering ed.
  23. All the pics of the Gundam I've seen have articulated hands like a PG...
  24. I got a call from my mom saying my Jumbo Zaku arrived only a few hours after I drove back to school >
