You managed to break both!? Man, you have some crappy luck. Well, I can't help you cuz you can't have mine, but I do have a word of advice or two. First off, when you get working ones and want to have the Valk hold them, DONT bend the finger up into the triger slot. They WILL break after a while. You can have it holding them without putting the finger thru. Also, you could probably yank the gunpods apart now and de-glue them and repair the busted bit maybe...

You put all that gorgeous effort into a 1/60 instead of a 1/48!? Simply stunning. It looks fantastic from what I can see.... some profile shots would be nice. How DID you do the soft weathering?

Hmmm.... thanks for that bit. I guess there wouldn't have been too much Destroid usage onn the ground worth mentioning... I suppose I could make up some non-cannon fluff about jungle located insurgents being fought during SWI on Earth. It's not like there is alot of info about what happened on Earth during all that time... mostly just the tidbits we get when they interact with the SDF-1 and the Grand Cannon stuff. There could have been some militiant cells of teh anti-UN that still existed and re-appeared after the Macross vanished.

I have the DYRL posables and the 1D posable... they are all kinda neat, but the legs are fubared no matter which you get. The non-FP releases are really too far apart for normal posing, but you can get a neato crouching psoe that looks rather dynamic. They are kinda close together on the DYRL ones and you end up with really static looking poses. I don't understand why Toynami had such an issue with adding a decent ball joint the the hips so you could acutaly pose them however you wanted....

Well the combat group I was thinking about was a small detatchment for jungle warfare. As for Destroids, I had a Tomahawk as point man, a Gladiator for support, and 2 Defenders for anti-infantry and AA purposes... you guys raise alot of interesting points tho.

Actually the one pic shows the plaque under the figure with 8000 yen on it.... I want it seperate, but it;s bc/ Im in the same boat as UN SPACY, bought a normal VF-1J just because of this. IOF it came with like a CF tho, I would jump on it.

Actually I thought that the Destroids were compelted first... maybe I'm getting my Macross and Robotech continuity mixed up.... There are still bound to be ground forces used and deployed outside of the Macross... like all of the ones seen on Earth after the Macross leaves. I'm sure I can make up some kinda back story for them....

Hi all! I have a whole bunch of smaller scale models and stuff of Destroids and other things like scale tanks and infantry and was wondering if there is any materiel covering pre-Zentraedi arrivla Destroid usage... I was going to assemble a small combined arms task force with infantry, IFV (infantry fighint vehicles tanks, and Destroids in place of MBTs (main battle tanks). I am doing them up in a camo scheme and am planning on getting some more infantry support and maybe non-vairable fighter craft if I can find them in scale. My question is weatehr or not there is any material covering their usuage before the Zentraedi arrival and and or anything about enemies. Thanks alot! Ben EDIT: crap,...i spelled the title wrong...

It's not my favorite toy ever because it isn't all that playable... but it's up there cuz it displays gorgeously. It has also inspired me to get a whole lotta 1/100 scale kits and such of Destroids and Valks to go along ith it.

I stickered mine up real nice using extra VF-1 stickers off of the Takatoys sheet. It's looks awesome.

The thing is with the bundled set, there are already all those VF-1J versions, and just imagine how big the box would be for the bundle.... that's a big assed box.

I would jump on the LS one at 1/100 scale if it was prodcued to toy durability standards. I kow you guys all want 1/48 ones, but thjat just isnt all that appealing to me bc/ of the size and storage issues IMO... a huge detailed one would be cool to drool at, but I play with my Valks every now and then so I would much rather a really durable LS figure with gunpod in fighter mode ableness to actually play with. For under 50 bucks at that scale, I don;t think you could really go wrong. I personally love the 1/72 scale one and wish a less floppy and better hip posbale model was released, with or without FP bits.

Awwww..... that's so cute. The only thing that bugs me is that you have the knee guards waaay over extended. Looks odd in that respect, but nice otherwise.

It amazes me that even as limited qty as it is, it went for THAT much when it is THAT small. Crazy. It IS gorgeous tho.

I just found a Ravage yesterday at Target, and I have to say WOW! The car mode is gorgeous with that balck paint job. Makes me even sadder that I missed Tracks over the summer... Some day I'll find one.
