    Hey hey, one last question. Did you use a pencil to do the really fine scratches on the lower legs? Looks awesome, but pencil's too dark for the normal color GBP, so I'm tryin to figure out what to use when I get to that step.

    It's not a huge problem, it just slows down the process a bit. Which is good, because that way I don't rush. It did get me wondering tho, can you get different color paper backings? A medium grey would have been neutral enough to find the black decals and make the white ones stand out. Otherwise, the GBP decals are flawless and crisp. I appreciate the work you put into making them ALOT. I find that the Polyscale works fine for most of my applications. After three coats of the stronger of the two (Solvent,) the decal is basically flawless and smooth. And one last thing I've observed for Kurt and all the rest of you that apply decals about edges. I've found that if you brush on a coat of Future as the decal is mostly dry to seal it the rest of the way down, you can cheat a bit and apply a bit more than normal around the edge to sort of soften the hard elevation chage/edge between surface and decal. As long as you wipe up the drips, and let enough of it dry around the edge, it works great, especially when you are going to be painting more on the model.

    I don't really care for the CMS line, but I think the cutaways are a neat little display piece all by themselves. I think a line of just cutaways would be neat.

    Haha, lucky you. Thanks for the advice. After checking it this morning, the decal shrunk down a tad and smoothed out nicely after two coats of Solvent and a coat of Future. I know all too well that weateheirng can mark the edges of decals. On my CF, one of the leg decals is basically black-line outlined.

    Well...can't decide to take it as encouragement while working on mine, or a sign to give up I'm doing the normal GBP right now... and the decals are killing me. Small white decals on white backing = Ben going blind. That and the shear volume of them. I notice that you've got a little bit of decal edging showing on your legart Kurt... when you applied that large decal, did you use a decal setting solution to help conform to the curve? I'm using PolyScale Decal solvent (the stronger one) and my decal is still ending up a bit wrinkly.... (mainly cuz it's a whole circle over the curve...) I figure that once the third coat of solvent dries, a coat of Future will smooth it enough....

    I like them ALOT! Only thing I would change is to use the Skull Squadron symbol for locked topics, simply because it looks cooler. Otherwise, I'd say your version of the icons is perfect.

    Gotta take this response in two parts.... I think we all care, and that's why alot of us are trying to do something about it, and that's why we're all getting so pissed off at you for complaining like a little girl when we're all working really hard when we can on it. I must admit, I was begnning to wonder where you went... seems now like you've turned into an MGREXX like troll.... maybe if you just complained a little less and tried to help a bit, we wouldn't mind some (some) criticism. And I can't manage to get that otehr stupid IM program to work, so I never talk to you outside of MW anymore (where you're a bit more docile.)

    Mr March, I realize now after checking MN out a bit that you are exactly right. I was really just talking about the forum when I made that comment and hadn't really looked too in-depth, and was going merely on the sackless filth that A1 was spewing. MN is a good site, and I am in no way against it.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they do some animated work for Hathaway's Flash and the Crossbone stuff.... I know that F91 didn't succeed and was intended to be a series, but does anyone know why it didn't pan out?

    No worries Hurin, your site is a respectable effort and it's fun to watch it unfold and evolve, as it's obvious you're working really hard on it. It's obviosuly not your fault that any ill-will exists, I think we have A1 to thank for all of that... and yeah, hopefully he just stops posting so we can get past this whole debacle. And yeah, I suggested in the Updates thread, the new icons are nice, maybe a littlle large, but the only actual problem is that we don't all know what they stand for yet. Give us a Key for them somewhere and they'll be great.

    So what, is macrossnexus some kind attempt to undermine MW? I find it hard to believe that you'll ever get everyone from MW over to macrossnexus... You make it sound like MW is a ghost forum with no activity. There's a percectly thriving community here, and while it might not have the best maintenance, it's nowhere near abandoned. Maybe if you just shut the hell up for a second and read something, you can see that alot of people are working as hard as they can to get it up to your supposed 'golden standard.' What I don't get is why the hell it matters anyway... you're here to discuss Macross and its related merchandise, series, and develpments. Alot of people don't need a fluffy graphically appealing forum to have a decent discussion about something the enjoy. You seem to be obsessed wtih all flash and glitter and no substance. It's not like anyone's seen you post on hardly any real Macross threads anyways.... you just knock on everyone who tries to enjoy themselves and pass your all mighty judgement on us thriving masses. Once again, maybe if you just shut and go the f*ck away.

    I must admit, I don't see why we need macrossnexus. Not to knock Hurin's obvious effort and commitment, but why split the community and just give A1 a place to vent his rediculously huge ego (whcih really has grown to itolerable proportions recently.) I used to respect A1 and talked to him alot, but now, he seems more like one of the whiny girly men he knocks all the time than anything else. Graham is obviosuly making a serious effort now, and to continue knocking it anyways is just childish, so A1, why don't you just go play wtih yourself on macrossnexus and leave us respectful MWers the hell alone.
