Noice! Those repainted fast packs really bring this valk scheme out. Great idea.

That's a great custom idea and it's subtle to boot. Also, nice approach in painting the VF-1J head in a unique way.
-
That is pretty spiffy! Early congratz to whoever on this board ends up winning it.

Unfortanetly, that was the news making the rounds on all of the sties. Among other things if i remember correctly, another "exclusive" only members could get their hands on is going to be the roller for MP-4 Convoy's Trailer. There was one or two other things, but those news tidbits seem to have been taken down from the original posts... -

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it Vermillion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirage_(Transformers) Right under the Generation 1 subtitle. Mirage was one of my favortie characters so that was news to me when i read it. But hey, at least Alt. Mirage is finally hitting stores! It might not be the G1 reissue you've been hoping for, but i think it makes a pretty worthy substitute. -
Wow talk about dedication. Thanks for the link.

I'm not FFN, but i think i can at least partially answer your questions. As of now, as far as anyone knows, Takara has ceased production on both the BT series and the BTA series. Their next upcoming toy series involving repainted Alternators and i mean repainted Alternators as in there will be no more diecast in their molds, is the upcoming Transformers KISS line with KISS Convoy & Melissa (Repainted Alternators OPs). Followed possibly by a repainted Alternators Mirage in Hot Rod (the character) Colors. That repainted Alt. Mirage bit though is only speculation at this time. Only KISS Convoy and some of the other female characters in the Transformers KISS radio drama (sold seperately) are confirmed so far. Here's a good reference for info about these upcoming releases: http://www.fantofan.jp/ The bad thing about KISS Convoy is he's going to retain basically the same price point as the BTA guys and he has no diecast to speak of in his design. As i think FFN pointed out, it looks like Takara thinks by including a CD (Design Artwork) with the bot, they can charge essentially the same price for the figure even though he's missing a key component that made those initial releases worth the price of admission. As far as whether you should stick to BT or Alternators, i can't really answer that question because both have their positives and negatives. If price isn't an issue it all really comes down to personal prefernce. I like them both and try to buy one of each whenever possible. Esp. with the last few releases in the line having slight differences between series (Prowl, Skids, Sunstreaker etc.). One thing to consider though, if Takara keeps up with stuff like this KISS idea, they might be pricing themselves out of the market. Maybe even to the point that this debate won't even be an issue anymore. Hope that helps. -

Nice! Thanks for the clip. I always wanted to see that battle in a clear transfer... and without the horrible english dubbing they put on the original bootlegs. 414593 Hahaha.....they shot each other with their pea shooters that did almost no damage. Then proceeded with a brawl. Their cassete bots did nothing but stood in the background. Rodimus: "Broado-casto!!!" Galvatron: "Soundo-waver!!! RArrrghhh!" LOLOLOLOLLO!!! 414630 Heh not the greatest of cartoon fights (nor the best drawn) but you gotta remember the nostalgia man! -
That's one spiffy VF-1D! Nice Job! I guess you didn't have to go far to find the decals you were going to use on it.

Alt. Mirage is about the only release i'm really looking forward to in the Alternators line. Actually Guppy, TakaraTomy has moved away from making their Alternator Mold Transformers in Die-cast i really don't know what kind of Mirage to expect from them because of this (if at all), but I'm hoping they'll come to their senses when this TF:Kiss idea bombs and move back to making Real Metal Binaltechs with Mirage as one of their first new releases. Here's hoping. -
Yeah thats what the consensus is. He's a yellow camaro with black striping down the middle. I know i've seen pictures of his vehicle mode floating around. As for the teaser/trailer... i'll hold judgement for a bit. I was never a fan of the idea to make this into a live action movie to begin with and this isn't helping me believe this is something i'll enjoy.

Top notch work as usual. That's an interesting scheme, but the contrast came out great.

Actually i think Family Guy got canned in its second season before being picked up agani for more episodes due to its popularity on CN. Great News about Futurama though, i wonder when the new episodes will actually start airing?

I think they're all around 6" in height. The American counterparts still haven't dropped at my local import store though. I'm starting to wish he just bought the Japanese versions. EDIT: According to the Collection DX review, the reviewer states the Dougram is around 12 CM in height which equals out to 4 3/4" on the standard scale. So i'm guessing most of the Revoltechs are at or around 5" tall.

I must check this site about a dozen times a day at work. Heh, I'm always keeping my left hand near the trusty Windows+D combo just in case though.

Wow, this guy has one hit after another. I'm beginning to wonder whether the Mystery Megs was maybe actually a debunked Classics Concept or maybe even something in a future assortment. -

G2 Megs is almost 16 inches long? Because that's how long the RC 1/24 Abrams is. The 1/24 Leopard they're selling on that site comes out to 16" as well. I don't have a Megs myself so i can't measure it to compare, but i don't remember him being more than a foot long or so the last time i saw one. 404434 crap, sorry. For some reason I imagined G2 Megs was much larger than I thought, and when I said 1:24 tanks weren't that big, I must have been thinking of how they compare to my 1:18 Abrams and my Patriot Grizzly tank. 404468 Not a problem man, we all make mistakes. As for the Megs if he really ends up being a 1/24 Abrams he’d be a lot closer in overall size with the Masterpiece Series. Still might be a little on the large side though... hmm... Astrotrain's Train mode looks pretty slick. I'm happy to see that overall not only did they do a good job on the robot mode, but for the most part both alt modes. Really looking forward to this line. -
