Oh man it's got the Mac Guy? I don't know i love me some Die Hard as much as any sane red-blooded male (venegance is the best BTW ), but if this movie is anything like the teaser... i gotta say i'm not really digging it. This looks more like every other action movie made nowadays and not a Die Hard. I gotta agree with Eugimon on this one.

You know i was thinking about what current valks we have that could go well with the new GBP and i think Roy's VF-1S might just do nicely to be put in there. Anyone good with photoshop that could whip that up real fast?

Speaking of which i think this would help mate: If the Max looked like you're describing and the above, than i would def. have to consider picking one up... that is only if they re-released max and miria, otherwise i'd have to sell a kidney to finance such a purchase.

Yeah i don't think i'd be buying the Max version either unless it's really something different, maybe a Miria, but now that i think about it i'd have to scrounge up the cash to buy another Max and Miria set and with the prices they're commanding nowadays i don't think that's a viable option. The Green and Yellow maybe, i'd really have to get a better look before i made a desicion on that.

Hmm, i was just looking at that pic. that chowyunskinny posted up and the ad actually states on the upper right corner that the GBP is called low visibility city urban color. Interesting. Think another valk is on the way?... It would make sense for them to release the valk first before the GBP... but yah never know.

I hear yah i'm really hoping the GBP we end up getting is closer to the first set of pics... otherwise it looks like this one's going to be a shelf warmer IMO.

Is it just me or did they change the color of the shoulder missile pod covers as well? From gray to almost white? I can't tell 100% because the covers are open in the second pic., but they def. look lighter.

That first part was actually directed at AreaSeven since he usually just tells ppl. to stop quoting pics, but he took it upon himself to requote the pics which he's never done before as far as i know. He's deleted the requotes though so that's fine. The second part was directed at everyone heh, i really didn't need to see 3 of the same picture on every page. I don't really mind well ppl. pic. quote from a page before, but otherwise it can get annoying. It looks like everyone got the message.

Never said it did. Have you seen Alternators, MP, Classics, the list goes on, it seems like you're brining up G1 as the basis for the movie designs which would be a step backward. Alternators and Binaltech more than make up for how you can turn classic Transformers characters into legtimate modern day cars that don't look like bricks in robot/toy form. Also as far as i know Hasbro didn't come up with the Movie designs some "futuristic" artist that worked on Miniority Report or some and such was called upon by the Movie studio to make the designs. Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm sure someone like FitforNatalie probably knows more about the movie and who designed what, since i've pretty much given up on it.

It should look like something that's semi belivable from what has already been established in Transformers. I'm not asking for G1, but seriously is that the best they could come up with. If you've seen the robot modes for most of the characters you'll see where i'm coming from. That's my opinion, you can decide on your own.

I tried looking up that thread but i can't seem to find it. I'll have to look deeper i guess. I can only vaguely remember what i read, but i know that i got that image from here and that i also read about it only here. I really don't think it was a custom, i really thought i read that there were a certain number allotted to the magazine to give out as prizes and that the paint scheme was designed by Shoji himself? I'm not trying to come up with this as i go along just trying to remember what i read. I'm sure somebody else remembers this?

I'm 99 % sure like izzyfcuk pointed out that yeah it was for a magazine contest. I think there's only like 16 or 20? I can't remember what you had to do in order to win the valk (other than living in Japan of course ), but i've never seen pics of one other than that magazine cut that i posted.

Hmm, yeah it does kind of resemble a Stryker: Either way that makes sense though, i thought i saw pictures of the movie Bonecrusher a little while back and it looked like they spliced together all kinds of crap on a military truck to make something unique but at the same time hideous. Gotta find that pic.

You know as the OP David Hingtgen put it in the title thread, i think this new GBP design would actually go pretty nicely with the Meteor Busters paint scheme. Since i'm at work i don't have a pic, but from what i remember i think it would be a nearly perfect fit. Too bad none of us actually own one... at least an original that is. EDIT: Forgot i had it in my photobucket album. Hmm, that doesn't exactly fit like i thought it would. I thought i remember it being light gray throughout in valk mode, ahh well.

Heh not a problem man, i know what you mean. I had to work today so wasn't too happy about that, but i've been making the forum rounds pretty much all day heh, it's dead in here. As for the alt modes, i have to say other than Bonecrusher or whatever ridculous name he has they don't look half bad, i really despise most of the Movie robot designs though so i don't think i'll be picking any of these up. It's looking like it's going to be all classics for me next year.

You know overall i love the new GBP, but i really have no idea what valk to put it with. The Debate rages...

I gotta agree with Beltane and Twoducks, i totally remember seeing the toys everywhere. I think i even had a squadron or two, but i had absolutely no idea there was a cartoon about them and back then i knew about every cartoon! It was the 80's though and i'm hard pressed to think of any toy line that didn't have a cartoon backing it up... except Mega-Force!

As much as i want him to look better (be better proportioned) in robot mode, I gotta say they’ve struck a pretty good chord between making a pretty realistic gun mode and a half decent and poseable bot mode. One thing though, I really think that arm cannon of his is going to need some work. As it is now it looks to be way too heavy. Maybe it's detachable? But than it wouldn't really be Megs... aww damn.
