I think theres gonna be a Serenity Lighter Zippo, too.

So far, so good. I hate that there's another crazy woman this year, but it looks okay. That kid is annoying as hell though. I hope Tony pulls through and kills loads of terrorists.

Anyone Seen Spelberg's New Movie Yet?

A serial killer is a human being too. A terrorist is a serial killer hiding behind a bullsh*t cause to justify their bloodlust. We all have grievanaces, we don't all kill randomly and gleefully to redress them. I find it amazing anyone would give a damn about such people's wants, needs or grievances. Comparing Christian fundamentalists with Muslim fundamentalists is pretty ridiculous, if we're talking present day. Look out for the Billy Graham Martyr's Brigade! Put up a score board for the just the past 20 years and compare the number of buses, malls, cafes, schools, airliners, embassys, skyscapers, polling stations, hospitals, churchs, synagogues, Mosques (yes Mosques too) and otherwise innocent pedestrians just walking by that have been blown up, attacked, hijacked kidnapped and or murdered. I think Muslims win that by a land slide. But that's ignorant of me to say. True, but ignorant. 356426 The Klu Klux Klan, a radical christian group, has killed more Americans than Al Queda. Its True. -

All I have to say is this. Its comforting to say that Osama and his ilk are insane. Its comforting to say that Eichmann and his SS were out of their minds. Its comforting to say that Stalin's NKVD and KGB were lunatics. Whats scarier is that they were completely sane and knew what they were doing. they did them knowing they were evil. I think Spielberg shows that the terrorists were sane and knew that they were killing innocent people, but did it anyway, and had no remorse. The difference between them, the bad guys and us the good guys was that our side felt genuine remorse. I thought the film was excellent, although the screenwriters and director knew no more than anyone else about this since the Mossad doesn't tell people how its ops went down. Spielberg's telling of Operation: Wraith of God is in the same vein as Ridley Scott's telling of the events in Mogadishu in Black Hawk Down. If you listen to the commentary track on the SE DVD, Eversman says the movie gets it really wrong in a lot of places. -

They absolutely show the murder of the Israeli Athletes. one of the athletes is played by his real life son, who was 1 month old when those animals killed him. its never played all at once, but dispersed throughout the movie. -

everyone who does not like this movie is just being glib and has not done the research. I "Know" what it is, because I have done research. Seriously, Cruise is batshit insane. -
I missed out on the First set, so i'll be getting these. these are supposed to be straight translations, and not the robodrek version of the story, right? Guess i'll find out. i preordered from Barnes and Noble.

Its a shame the WildStorm is putting out that creative abortion of a comic out. they usually produce good work. oh well. It probably sucks because theres not more Southern Cross. -

Tom is in Texas now... doing the rock n roll thing... 349190 Didn't know there was a "rock n roll thing" in Texas. 349209 You shouldn't preach when they're already converted... Actually SWSX is in Austin, so I'd say there's a good amount of RNR in the Lone Star. 349211 Hell yeah there is!!! -

A good movie. I really liked it. I haven't read the books, but I have been a fan of the movie series. I was incredibly pissed at ron throughout the whole movie... -

Starring...Kristen Kreuk as Mary Jane Parker! 343671 Jessica Biel would have been a better choice for MJ. The guy in that Picture looks nothing like Morpheus, the King of Dreams or his son Daniel, who took his place. I hope the casting for Death, Despair, Delirium, Destruction, Desire and Destiny is WAY better than this. -

My favorite episodes have to be the ones involving Jimmy and Timmy, Such as the Special olympics one and the one when they join the Crips. The Cripple Fight episode, with the fight taken from They Live is a freaking classic too. -
Stephen King and Marvel!
Isamu Atreides 86 replied to Isamu Atreides 86's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well apparently those pages are not going to be from the actual new story, but rather are from King and Marvel's first meeting. Jae Lee and Richard Isanove got them together as a sample. King was reportedly so impressed with the pages, that he asked to keep the orginals. Jae Lee, the artist for the series says that there may be more Gunslinger books after the initial series and that Roland, Alain and Cuthbert will play some part in it, as well as ( and i don't know how) Susan Delgado. Stephen King and Marvel!
Isamu Atreides 86 replied to Isamu Atreides 86's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I can't believe that very few people liked the last few books in the Series. I loved Wolves of Calla, Song of Susanah and The Dark Tower. Save for the epilogue, The Dark Tower was excellent. the ending was not what i wanted, but other than that it was pretty emotional, with everything that happened to the Ka-Tet of 19. The comic is supposed to be a Six issue mini, so its not a retelling, but hopefully it will do really well and King will keep making them. -
Stephen King and Marvel!

i'm betting its when Roland is pursuing the Man in Black early on after Jericho Hill. Roland still looks pretty young there, as opposed to the older man in the books. -
Marvel announced today, after quite a bit of speculation, that Stephen King will be writing a comic for them, and that it will be a DARK TOWER book!! how freaking awesome is this?? Jae Lee is gonna be drawing and some of the early pics look awesome.... Damn, I am totally fanboy over this thing. This is huge, and i will DEFINATELY getting this!! Heres a few Newsarama links to the story: http://www.newsarama.com/JoeFridays/JoeFridays23.html http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/King/st...king_marvel.htm http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread...?threadid=47647

Awesome. I love FF VIII, and Squall and Rinoa are my favorite characters! A Quistis would have been awesome, but those are pretty tight. Hopefully, they'll do a second live for those and we can get some more of the figures.

he'd have to get very in shape for the role. As A1 says, he'd need to get supersoldier ripped. not completely swoll, but pretty buff. Besides, i thought they were really considering Christian Bale for the role?? He may be a bit too young for MGS Snake, but he'd be right on for Metal Gear 1.
