YF-1R (Jack Archer)
Isamu Atreides 86 replied to Posse Comitatus's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
don't worry. if you had to go through and find an explaination on every plot inconsistency, you'd be busy for a long time, and simply come to the conclusion that it makes no possible sense. -
I've only seen parts of the episode when I taped it Tuesday (I saw Chase getting beaten up), but the situation that Chase put himself in and the danger he has put Jack, other CTU agents, and even national secuirty in is another example of why YOU-MUST-OBEY-YOUR-ORDERS, especially in this line of work. i kinda hope he gets the soldering iron treatment jack got last season.

i got that FHM.....nice. She was in Maxim too. damn, kim is hot. too bad shes stupid. Hey! Don't pick on Kim! That Cougar snuck up on her from outta nowhere! Now excuse me, I have to see to the new dresscode regulations and my personal "hands-on" training of the world's hottest data entry girl. Thanks for the gig, EXO. damn!! passed over for promotion again!!! oh well. as long as i get to "De-Brief" Kim, i'll be alright...

save your money. Buy Stormwatch, Fables, Wild Cats, Sleeper, Queen and Country, or any of the other criminally overlooked quality books out there.

This is so strange... I think I am alone in my appreciation for Van Damme. My roomate liked tin-tin as a kid and when I told him the Van Damme news I thought he would be pumped up. He said casting Van Damme as Tin-Tin would be like casting Dolph Lundgren as Charlie Brown. dunno....maybe Dolph could pull off the quiet angst of charlie brown. then they could cast kari wuhrer as lucy....

Okay... then at the very least, she should lose the "office girl" look and be forced to work as a stripper to find information. A boy can dream, can't he? It's not as bad a plot device as Amnesia (See Terri Bauer, season 1), is it? Think of it as Primetime Fan Service. tony, being greiveiously wounded and out of his head, is gonna make the female CTU agents, namely michelle and Kim to go around in lingerie..... that would make this season kick ass. but Kims hair looks pretty ugly. i think the longer hair made her look way better.

wasn't there a special av that newbies had to use?

Last season President Palmer offered Nina a plea bargin in exchange for information about the bomb. That's why she's free as a bird. i thought that went bad, when she tried to kill Jack and hld him hostage. after the sniper shoots her, she is taken back into custody and jack whispers something in her ear....i didn't think it mentioned her again last season. We must have missed something... Amazingly Nina palnned and executed her escape within the scope of 24 hours... SPINOFF!!!

Spoiler.... . . . . . . . . . . . . ok, I haven't actually read Black House yet, but what I've gleaned from WOTC and other sources is that "breakers" are used by the Crimson King to literally break the beams that support the Dark Tower itself. thats exactly what they do. very few of the beams are still intact, and thats how the crimson king is trying to destroy the tower, by breaking the beams. in Black House, they almost broke another beam, but Tyler Marshall managed to destroy the breaker station and free the slaves used to break the beams. apparenty, these breaking stations are in End-world, and are very close to the tower itself, at leats thats how i read it.

Yep. I got a copy for Xmas, and I was through it by the 27th. I thought it was a great addition to the series, and is probably my second favorite (the original Gunslinger takes 1st place). I'd read Salem's Lot over the summer, so I really enjoyed meeting up with Father Callahan again. My only niggling concern is the addition of *spoiler* . . . . . . . . . . . . . Stephen King, the author himself, to the story. I'll reserve judgement until I read Song of Susannah, but I think it'll either work really well or it'll fall flat on it's face. I don't know if something like that can have any middle ground. yep that was my concern as well.

i thought the other buyer was gonna be sherry palmer. Great episode. damn that michelle, trying to make Tony look the fool. oh well. looks like rough waters at the almeda household. jack is the biggest pimp in the world. he kicked Kate to the curb for the newer model, so to speak... i hope jack finally manages to kill Nina. HOW THE HELL DID SHE ESCAPE CUSTODY!!???
-
that looks awesome. nice work.

and Black House makes reference to Ted Branaghan and what the breakers like him do....apparently Tyler Marshall was even stronger.

you finally read it? did you like it??!!! this book and the DaVinci code were the best books i read all last year!! man i am so ready for the next two to come out its not even funny. If you haven't read this book yet, or any of the Gunslinger books, May your first day in hell be ten thousand years, and may that be the shortest. Hooray for the Sisters of Oriza!!

hideo kojima and metal gear 3

John Kelly? John kelly never existed. And he's of no relation at all to John Clark........ So, a fan of Without Remorse, huh? nah, cause then Kojima would make the second half of the game about Ding Chavez and people would bitch about how lame he is, cause he's married to John's daughter. -

Whats your favorite dirty pleasure Scifi flick?

amen to Event Horizon... the movie as a whole didn't attract me that much, but raised a very good question that I use as a plot device when writing science fiction: How the **** do you know what the other end of the wormhole opens to on that very first test run???? and more importantly, it finally answers the question as to what the penalty is for breaking a law of physics. -
The WWE and Pro-Wrestling Thread

That's weird coming from someone that has a Fan Service AV. I can see why some old school fans Final Fantasy fans aren't too happy with the post FFVII games. Albeit it too much skin, feminine looking males, or cutesy J-Pop. I'm currently playing FFX and will probably pick up X-2 when it's on the Greatest Hits List.....I even think the theme song of X-2 is catchy. Speak no evil of FF VIII! Squall ain't girly looking....Siefer on the other hand, is a whole nother story. and yeah, that FF X-2 song is terrible. -
has anyone read the manga? i was thinking of picking it up and i wanted to know if it was worth it before i did that. thanks in advance!!!
