  1. Drilled out the wing lights again, I love this little trick, it's a small detail that most people will never see but I know it's there. I used a gray panel wash for most of the panels and for the moveable surfaces I used black. In this pic you can see a tiny bit of the brown pastel pencil I used on the leading edge of the wing.
  2. Here's the painted panels I talked about earlier, there's 4 in this pic, can you find them all ?
  3. Here's a shot of the gunpod with the panel lines drawn in, I ordered a bunch of Alclad laquers from squadron so the metal on my next build will be way sweet:
  4. Another model from the collection I can scratch of the build list (only about 200 more to go ). I wanted to build a 1J since I've built so many 1A's. I did some light weathering, and of course it always comes out lighter in the photos. I painted some of the individual panels a light gray color which I'd never done before, I'll show ya a pic of that, it's subtle but I like it. Enjoy Nosecone:
  5. Great collection, which ones have been built?
  6. Exactly the reasons why I don't like metallic models, well that and I like my models a color you actually might see in the show or in real life.
  7. greatmodels.com or squadron.com has display cases. Let's see the model.
  8. Yeah you oughta see the rest of the list. That's just the Hase stuff.
  9. I have everything you listed except for I only have the red clear version of the VF-1A (to get the special decals) Otherwise I don't like clear or metal plated models. And I didn't want their crappy version of the F14 or Mig, I don't do the posters or the calendars either, everything else I have. I keep my whole model collection cataloged in an Excel spreadsheet. 1.) Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1A Fighter Valkyrie x4 (3 built) 2.) Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1A "Low Visibility" Fighter Valkyrie x1 3.) 10. FYI you can buy a nice recast of that ultimate strike kit at hobbyfan.com. It's almost $300 bucks but it's worth it. There's also recasts of the YF-19 (mine) and the YF-21 available from Jesse Meyers here on the boards.
  11. You're a bit late to the party my friend, they shipped mine a couple of days ago.
  12. VF-1D's seem pretty thick still on Ebay, the low vis one is hard to find though.
  13. Oh it's definately painted, otherwise you'd see all the seams that our good friend went to the trouble of filling and sanding smooth. Besides no self respecting modeller would leave that much plain plastic showing.
  14. Now that's marketing, they're not successful by accident.
  15. BTW you know there's a whole section devoted to customizing toys.
  16. Acceptable? at this point I'll take anything if the result ends in me getting my kit. Wow Rob thank you and thank your wife for helping us out, really appreciate it. You've really gone out of your way. Regards, Chad P.S., are you guys registered anywhere for the baby, please let us know, really.
  17. No not the last venture, you just gotta be more careful with who ya do biz with, like the trusted members here. No no say it isn't so.
  18. Yeah and no picture either, he's dreamin'
  19. Yeah the 19 will probably need a little work to get the seams to look right.
