  1. Good luck on that one, horrible fit on those kits, just ask Jessee. Buy some putty and sanding sticks for a start and some of the old fashioned goopy Testors glue to help really fill in those seems so you don't have to go back and use so much putty.
  2. You're killin' me man, evertime you guys post one of your incredible CG renderings in the models section (you know, the kind where you can't tell if it's real or not) I get all excited and depressed in the same moment cuz I think someone posted an awesome model build and then reminds me how far I have to go with my skills You gotta give me some warning like "ha just kidding, not a real model" Just kidding, great work, thanks for sharing.
  3. Not to mention those old Imai models weren't the best for fit either, it was like they had two separate people make the two halves of the same part. I didn't think about the tired thing, I don't think I was tired when I was building mine probably rushing or not paying enough attention cuz I'd built several of these already.
  4. Also remember no matter what you are using to paint with (brush or air) several thin light coats are always better than one thick on. Your prepainted shots of that old model bring back so many memories, I'm gonna have to build one of mine now.
  5. I know exactly what you mean, I had the same problem with my TV version VF-1J. The main landing gear wells on the legs can actually fit either way, and it's difficult from the directions to tell which way they're supposed to go. So of course mine were put in the wrong way and the gear struts were pointing in towards the gunpod. I try assembling everything as close to complete and build as many parts as I can separatly so of course didn't discover this till it was too late. I had to improvise and drill new holes etc... man I was pissed. And this was the 4th VF model I'd built too.
  6. Just a repackage, oh yeah milk it, milk it Hasegawa!
  7. Thanks for the post, FYI your link you provided is bugged. You have two HTTP's in the URL
  8. Thanks... Here are a few links I just sent someone that asked me basically the same question via email. You'll need to use a bidding service. Here are two of the bigger ones: http://www.rinkya.com/ http://www.m-world-service.com/ I've used the second one ALOT myself. As far as reading Japanese try this page: http://babelfish.altavista.com/ Good luck, Carl How are those services you mention, I like Celga except for their rediculous shipping fees.
  9. If you want an original you should be checking Yahoo Japan auctions.
  10. Doh! looks like I can't help ya with the decals Jess, every one of mine is cut up. Thought I had duplicates of all of them but they're now cutup too. Sorry.

  12. Awe shucks I've gone bright red I'll start by signing up for one's that may be on the more rare side. 13. Definately inspiring, I'm gonna have to hit you up for some tips when I finally start my 1/72 Monster. Right now I'm mired down with a 1/32 F14 project, ugh what a nightmare.
  14. Hey we do it all the time here, Atmospheric booster, Spider bug, etc... Harmony Gold can go shove it. What did you have in mind for creation?
  15. Ohm, ohm, ohm, I'm not worthy
  16. Wow that looks very sweet, excellent job, thanks for sharing.
  17. I actually have the Hydrospan materials, was like 40 bucks for a whole bunch of it. Never got around to using it though cuz #1 I'd have to make a resin cast of the original piece which I've never done before and #2 I've never used the stuff before. I guess I'm just a big chicken.
  18. I actually do cut out and save the box tops from my Hasegawa kits, but that's not why I collect them.
  19. Hey that sounds like my favorite candy, crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside.
  20. Are you ever planning on building any of those kits?
  21. Also keep in mind that it's very difficult to impart tone and emotion in a text comment. 3 different people could read the message and come away with 3 different meanings. It's best to assume beneviolence when reading text and email.
  22. They could also be the two halves from the Orgroid gun.
