  1. What's the difference between these two sets Chris? Devin's Blue Roses (Dark Blue/Yellow Trim) 002 x 2 (with blue rose emblem) Devin's Blue Roses (Blue Camouflage) 004 x 2 (with blue rose emblem) Can you post a comparison shot?
  2. Hey Achtung, have you considered using the Alclad II metalized lacquers? Really nice paints that have very fine metalic pigments. Kinda expensive though.
  3. Definately one of my favorites as well, the blue and the yellow (especially the stripe on the nose) it's just so Navy. I'm definately going to reproduce one of these. Great job 007, the shading is spot on!
  4. Nope it's the water soluble oil paints, you need to use real oil paints, the water soluble oil mixed with the future probably removed the thin layer of future you had on there. It also looks like your mixture was too thick as well, should be as thin as the mineral oil itself. How long did you let the wash dry?
  5. Hey cool, I have a new nickname, G72, sounds like Bingo
  6. In all seriosuness, is that a sarcastic comment or not? I was just curious... as that's an interesting past time if you're serious... I was serious, for some reason I love doing decals.
  7. Hey guys really glad you like the model, makes all the hard work worthwhile. On a difficulty scale from 1-10 I'd give it a 9 (10 being totally from scratch, granted that's just my perspective). Pretty much everything had to be modified on this sucker. I didn't change the actual hip joints, they seem fine. The arms on both kits (these were the worst) The front and back chest pieces on both kits The upper and lower leg pieces on both kits The lights on the legs The fast packs on the Arii kit The backpack on the Hase kit The Head lasers The arm missiles were total scratch builds Scribing all the custom panel lines on the leg missile hatches, arms, and chest And all the decals I pieced together from different kits (always my favorite part) Again really glad you all liked the project.
  8. ADV/Azimut, same guys who made the 1/72
  9. Hey the Panhard VBL, I love that little car, I have it in 1/72 resin, looks like a futuristic fast attack vehicle.
  10. Hey guys, glad you liked the model. Is this pose better?
  11. No, this isn't, it's a custom model that was in one of the magazines.
  12. That thing is awesome, I love modern weapons. How difficult was the electrical and mechanical innerworkings to build. I've built a Tamiya RC truck before, how does that compare?
  13. Last Pic, closeup of the front of the legs. The lights on the legs are partially countersunk into the legs. That was fun to do.
  14. Closeup of the left arm and those darn missiles I finally figured out.
  15. Headshot, I used the metal VF-1J cannon barrels from WF, they're pretty sweet.
  16. Ok here's my first really custom model I've ever tried, a kitbash of the Hasegawa standard battroid and the Arii GBP kit. What a pain in the ass this was, at one point I got frustrated and put it on hiatus for months. Anyway here's the completed pics, the how to build is in the how to models section.
  17. DONE! I'll post more pics the in regular model section
  18. You can update your post with a smaller pic if you click edit. Site posting rules ask that you limit it to 640x480.
  19. Ha! can't believe you got that reference, I love that movie.
  20. Jesse puts an addictive chemical in the resin that makes you crave for it nightly
