1. Man those are sweet, you did some serious paint jobs on those. What an honor to show off your models at the museum. I love taking my RC boat out in Golden Gate park, so many oooh and aaahs.
2. Soooo Ranger what kits are you going to be making for us huh huh you can tell us.
3. I'm pretty sure the Macross bases won't be sold here, they'll be at Starshipmodeler and themodelbase website. That thread was just for ideas I believe.
4. William, SDF-1 stands for Super Dimension Fortress - 1. It's the main human spaceship in the conflict against the Zentradi in the Macross series.
5. Ah rats, well thanks for the info anyway. Why isn't there ever a huge anime convention spotlighting Macross in San Francisco??? I mean talk about a huge asian community full of fans, hello?
6. Uh yeah so what's the zip code for, Location - Panel Room 2, I've never heard of that city or state?
7. 1d right? I guess orange is orange to some folk and if he doesn't know what it is he probably called it that with minimum research... going with the first thing he found that was close. not that a seller not doing research is a bad thing... I was quite happy with my loose hi-metal 1/55 1a for $10 bin 317973 Man that was a steal
8. You need to use the search function before you post a new topic.
9. The Last Starfighter, Explorers with a very young Ethan Hawk (good memories when I was a kid)
10. Cool 007 I think those will be helpful, especially the first set.
11. Hey look it's a Super Ostrich, NOT! Ok it's only mildly absurd but the guy built the thing didn't he look at the package? http://cgi.ebay.com/1-72-Built-Macross-VT-...1QQcmdZViewItem
12. William is kinda new to Macross so he's not gonna know what SDF-1 is. Pics, pics.
13. I just couldn't resist posting these pics of some of their more awesome bases. I can't wait for a Macross version.
14. I wonder if they're original sculpts or casts of the old models?
15. Ok so looks like around 5 inches for a base if you were going to actually set the model right on top of it but what about the size if you were going to stick some kind of rod in it and have an in-flight model displayed above it? Or was that what you all were thinking in the first place?
16. 317418 Post a JPG of it would ya?
17. Hi WM, it looks like they only deal in resin. I'll have to look at some of my extra decal sets. I think they have some cool kit designs. I know I've seen some cool ones out there that incorporate the kite design.
18. Anyone have any good pics of the logo with like UN Spacey lettering?
19. I'm sure it will be the next kit they release. They just haven't got around to it yet.
20. They are definately done in relief, you should check out the site. It looks like their standard sizes for bases are 4" & 5", $10 and $15 dollars respectively
21. No I was asking for recomendations for dimensions for bases to display models like the Hasegawa kits and resin kits.
22. You completely missed the point of this thread. Bases for models, helloooo
23. Hi all, I've been in contact with a company called The Model Base (they supply bases directly and through Starship modeller), anyway they've asked me for input on dimensions and ideas for a base for macross models. I thought I'd submit the question here to all my friends for your thoughts (I got their permission first). They make some really cool products for various series, check them out here. www.themodelbase.com So post your thoughts here and I'll send along any feedback. They might be willing to produce more than one type/style/size so keep that in mind. Regards, Chad
