  1. Regarding question #2: I use Tamiya clear paints, If you're painting somthing that is supposed to be a light, paint the back of the piece chrome silver first (where a lightbulb would be) then paint the clear color over that.
  2. Glad that FP deal is working out for you. I hope it'll keep ya casting and building more original masters for a long time to come
  3. What happened to your factory you were building??
  4. Yeah the scout would make such an awesome kit cuz it has lots of greeblies, would look really detailed.
  5. No thanks, also, the Captain has sworn off toys from now on just FYI.

  7. If HWR doesn't have the time let me know I'd be interested in building kits for you. I can send you more pics if you like.
  8. I would think since the legs will now be in a fixed position a metal rod imbedded in them would be a must have, spindly as they are and all.
  9. I'll take two, one heavy and one micro missile version.
  10. Well the standard answer to your question is oil paints thinned with mineral spirits. It acts as a wash and fills in all the tiny panel lines just perfectly. You have to put a coat of clear gloss on first (future floor polish) let that coat dry, then apply the wash, let that dry, then wipe away the excess at a 90 degree angle to the panel line. This only works with acrylics/non-enamel type paints.
  11. Hey kudos to you for the forthright communication. Devon's decals did take quite some time to arrive so I'm surprised people are complaining.
  12. Hey thanks for posting, that is such an awesome workspace! Man you are a building fool! Looks like you're about out of space. I bought some really cool display cases for cheap and my tiny collection of built models looks absolutely pathetic sitting inside of them.
  13. That's awesome dude, while I've never gotten into Ma.K I think it's cool cuz it looks like very plausible/believable Sci-Fi. Great Job! Hey I wanna see a pic of your room with all your models on display.
  14. OH man that looks so awesome! The chipping on the Tomahwk looks so cool. I like that white stuff that looks like it's running down areas of the Defender. What is that?
  15. Oh god I hate drywall. Not so much hanging but finishing, mud, tape, mud, sand, mud, sand, mud, sand....
  16. Hmm, how come they look so green, like olive drab? Is that just the photo?
  17. Looking good man! What colors are you using? Me likey.
  18. I believe he tried to sell it once on ebay for like 200k
  19. I want to see this new one standing next to the old one you built a while back.
  20. Wasn't the winterfest glaug actually a recast of the original plastic kit in 1/72?
  21. You know if the decals from a laser printer are too transparent you could always print them on white decal paper. They sell transparent and white decal paper. Also you could print the decals on the transparent sheet then when you go to cut out the decal, stack it on top of a sheet of white decal paper. You wind up with two layers of decals but it's similar to what Hasegawa does with some of the kite symbols in their Valk kits.
