I wonder of Devin (Anasazi) is reading this thread? He was definately under the impression that Alps Printers where no more. Part of the reason he stopped producing his decals was to preserve the remaining supplies and parts that he had.

I plan to build all the models I have. I just don't have the time to build them right now. I buy all the rare resin kits because I know once they're gone they're usually gone 4 good. I used to build my share of models even some rare resin ones. I'll get back to building models when I'm done building my house.

Yeah the nose in the comparison is way short, which is unfortunate, the long nose is what makes it look cool I think. Noyhauser you are absolutely correct in your statement above and I would much rather have a static fighter kit whose lines follow the art. badboy00z the problem with trying to make a transforming toy or model is that it's impossible to make all three modes look just like the line art due to "Anime Magic". The artists in the show just want to make each mode look the best as it can regardless of whether it is actually possible. If the actual nosecone from the fighter makes the battroid look "too tall" when it's transformed in the show then they just magically shorten the torso of the battroid to make it look right, hard to replicate with physical materials.

Just update the pattern and then have someone like Salzo cast it for you.

I'm confused, are you wanting a model or a toy? The scales you mention that you're interested in are toys from Yamato which can be played with and require no assembly but are much more expensive. The most common Macross models are in 1/72 scale and require assembly, modeling supplies and some skill to get to look correct. The most detailed models currently available are from Hasegawa and are significantly cheaper to purchase than the Yamato toys.

The YF-21 recast was done by Jesse Meyers and was a recast of mine, which was a recast itself, probably why the fit was so bad.
