Well if the story revolves around fold technology I hope they answer the greatest mystery in Macross history... Where did the fold generator of the Macross end at? Maybe it mix with some random genetic material left by the Protoculture and that created the Vajira

Well the Vf-27 seemed it shot the Gunpod off from Luca's VFs which freed it. Any one else noticed that the VF-27 doesn't need a fold booster? in the last scene the fighter in the fold area (hyperspace?) with no boosters attached.

if you are talking of the VF-19kai that was in 2047 and VFX-2 incident was in 2051, so before that they only had one infiltration of the YF-19 and YF-21 through Earth's defenses and them being the prototype models they didn't foresaw it could be done again with the mass produced models. I don't consider the VF-19 Kai of Basara would be a security threat as it doesn't seem to be as heavily armed as the regular VF-19. I could imaging that the VF-19 and VF-22 have a status as the American F-22 in which is currently only used by the US not only because they are expensive but also cause they will not sell them to foreign nations.

Wouldn't allowing military groups and colonies have VF-19s and VF-22s be a huge risk? The YF-19 and YF-21 were able to evade Earth's defense satellites and as well in VFX-2 assuming the events are canon Gilliam and Aegis were able to also sneak through Earth's defenses.
