I think it really depends on how willing you are to spend the dough. I've bought a few 1/60s in the last couple years, but I tend to shop around alot before I consider buying one. I will say that noone is saying you have to buy all of them. Pick your favorite and go with that. I like the Fast Pack units personally. I still have not bought the Super Valkyrie however, mainly because I cannot find the Millia paint scheme. I generally do my purchasing at conventions, mostly because I hate E-Bay with a passion that is rarely unrivaled, and 9 times out of 10 the item is from the same guy in HK charging an obscene shipping cost. It generally offsets the lower price point. Bottom line; decide which one you want and go with that. You don't need all of them.

I liked the UN Theme Music and Info High. I liked the original theme to Macross as well. My roommate and I will still sing it in japanese if we are drunk enough.

My friend and I are making the Valkyries this week. We are also starting a fan project to build the Macross.

Well. Definitly a difference in opinions. I expected that. Cool. I like the 0. The design looks like it can be a direct predecessor to the VF-1 It makes sense. I do hope that things move forward in the next eps. We'll have to wait and see though.

Is anyone else here finding this show hard to get into? I didn't like it until I watched the 3d ep. I don't know if that makes me some Combat Monster or something, but the first 2 eps just didn't grab me at all.

Whatever the reason, it was a hell of a show. And it got people like us together in a community. That says something of it's cultural (well personal) influence.

The 1J Millia paintjob was cool. It was a hard toss up between the S and my girl's plane. I had to go with my fave though. Now if you had put the Strike down there.....

I remember that the uber expensive Movie Artbook had a cut-away poster of the VF-1 Strike Valkyrie. Is there any place that one could get this by itself? I just don't have $400 for the book.

Macross (well Robotech) was the first anime related series I watched. When I was a freshman in college, my roommate pointed out to me the differences in Macross and the Robotech series. Needless to say, I was a bigger fan of Macross. I've always enjoyed the Valkyrie design. It is still my favorite Mecha of all time. if I could have one fantasy, it would be a Strike Valkyrie. I also like Millia. She's my favorite character. It's the green hair. BTW First Post here! Hello everyone!
