  1. Just watched the first subbed version (Nanashi) and I thought it was a really cool show, Aquarion is epic and classy and will proabaly be more memorable in the long run but this was fun! Loved the surfing animations, very fluid and elaborate and the instant transformations work well here beacuse it's a really simple design. Especailly compared to Aquarion. I was surprised to see from the intro that it looks like it will go in the direction of a Gundam show, there's a squad of these robots launching from a mothership and a lot of very military looking characters.
  2. Both are Soul of Chogokins, there are four brand new ones for this year. GX-27 Gaiking GX-28 Xabungle GX-29 Black Ox GX-30 Voltes V Gaiking is out fairly soon, the rest to follow.
  3. I like new Justice better then old but I wasn't terribly impressed with the old one. Like S-Freedoms swichable hip weapons too, one of those simple but really clever things.
  4. Breaking news, Voltes blueprints!!, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v259/c.chen/voltes.jpg Xabungle looks really cool, this looks amazing.
  5. Oh yes, the DX Chogokin is looking seriously sweet. So many little details like the opening petals on Aquarion Lunas backpack (Solars legs) and each mode looks like it has full articulation. Kawamori must have spent a very long time working on this design to enable Bandai to replicate it so well. My only concern is just how "functional" Lunas bow will be. Check out this other pic from a Japanese event that was posted by Bizzio on toyboxdx.com http://www.visualmedia.com.hk/cgi-bin/news...em=170470&utag=
  6. Regardless of whatever went on during it's creation it's still a cool series overall. The only dissapointment for me was the blink and you'll miss it FAZZ.
  7. That was brilliant, Athrun can't complain though. He asked him to take care of it.
  8. As soon as a subbed version is available, I'm there.
  9. I liked this episode, very tocuhing throughout. That new ed was a bit whack though.
  10. It's a franchise, a bandai one at that. They had games, toys. models, etc all planned out way before it started airing. Eureka's 7 only just started over the weekend and there was an article on Zincpanic.com a few weeks ago stating that bandai had sneakers planned for release that were styled after the main characters. But I don't mind if it means quality toys from Bandai, that's what they're good at.
  11. Mahous ep 2 is available now. I just watched it and I'll say this, it's fast and it is certainly going to cause a stir.
  12. It looks a prototype of the Perfect Change Gokin toy that Bandai is working on for a fall release. Nothing more is known at the moment.
  13. I was thinkng of the gattaing vehicles that snap on Neo Strikes arm but now that you mention they do look very ZZ or even Sentinel esque mecha. More of that guys cool deisgns here btw, http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/~f.kei/page027.ht...#12488;)
  14. Now those I just love, Seed's asthetic crossed with Brave style weapons. It's an overused fanboy cliche but Bandai needs to hire that guy.
  15. Fall is about as accurate a date as the prefect change set has for now.
  16. Wow, 25 was pretty sick. High tension ending to boot. I wonder is this a turning point for the series in it's tone, the new intro seemed a bit dark as well.
  17. New Justice looks like a VF-1 in fighter mode with the Gunpod under it. Er, sorry but I don't understand this post. Isn't that the Minerva.
  18. True, all the new shows I've seen lately have had intros though so that thought slipped my mind. I'm surprised that on a Macross board few people have mentioned the rather nice fighter planes that were seen briefly.
  19. Gunota has a slew of pics from the 3rd Intro, First Gundam fans are in for a treat. http://aeug.blogspot.com/
  20. Exo, what the hell did you post in that last reply? It won't load at all.
  21. Just watched the Mahou sub, it's a very decent show. The first ep was a bit dull as intros nearly always are but it showed a lot of potential. As others have said it's clearly a super robot anime but to me at least it didn't feel too overdone. The conbination scene wasn't really overly long, or at least it wasn't long enough for me to see in detail how it all works. There's a lot of Eva esque people who seem to be simply hanging around just in order to appear mysterious though. The girl in the wheelchair reminded me of Darla from Buffy. One thing that did kind of bother me was that after bigging up having Yoko Kanno as the composer for this series there was no intro and the outro theme must have been one of if not the shortest ever. Will certainly be watching it again though and I will be eagerly awaiting every scrap of news on the DX toy.
  22. There are two versions of each with different figures included, check HLJ for details.
  23. Isn't that the point? Strike got a bit of a redesign for it's PG incarnation, I was expecting that to carry over to it's equipment was all.
  24. The Aile pack looks near identical to the TV version.
  25. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
