I have no problem with Nintendo wanting their box to appeal to, rather then frustrate parents. My little brother has his own GC, it sits in the front room wired up to the same television that has the sky box and the dvd player. My dad sees it as a nuisance exactly as Iwata has said but my Mum can quite often be found happliy enjoying a game of Pikmin, Warioware or even Zelda. She does however, very rarely touch my PS2. The point of that little ramble is that it isn't unrealistic or even a bad idea to try and pitch their box to a wider auidence. If that box now includes wireless instant pick up and play controllers, wireless internet and free classic games I can definately see it becoming more attractive to people who are forced to endure it's presence regardless.

If you meant HotD 3, the one that uses shotguns in the arcade, it's been out for Xbox for a while. Don't remember if the Xbox port has a shotgun style light gun for it though... HotD2 sold the Dreamcast for me. However, 3 didn't sell the Xbox for me. Oh, well I don't have an Xbox and currently have no intent towards owning one so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens for HotD. As good as those games are there's no way I'd consider a lighgun game as reason for buying a whole new machine. The only games that have had that effect on me are the Metal Gears which is why I know I'm going to end up with a PS3 sooner or later. Thanks for the info though Jollyrogers.

I'll still see it as long as Kelsey Grammar is voicing Beast.

If by next gen House of the Dead you mean HotD with a shotgun peripheral then I am so there! : D

No, I think your predictions there are pretty much on the mark. All I have to add is that no Revolution for Europe untill 2007 just plain sucks.

Reika is what's said so I prefer Mahous subs, I dl'ed AonEk's ep 7 to cjeck it out and it just bugged me everytime her name was said and something entirely different came up in the text. Nerdy I know but oh well, I'm starting to have a lot of patientce for this series... Please, something exciting happen...

live action 'neon genesis evangelion' movie
Fort Max replied to arrow's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I was looking forward to it, WETA did some great work for LOTR and the West NEEDS at least one imagination firing (read OTT inspiring flasy ohh, ahh effects) giant robot movie to inspire countless clones and get the genre recognized. -
Those bikes were cool, Bandai had better make them or else I'll have no choice but to go without. Wolfx, yeah it's the same toy. Sorry for the curt response in the last post but I wasn't feeling well at the time. It's looking like a really nice figure and very accurate in both modes, from a picture I saw somewhere esle the head and hands have to be removed to transform it but other then that it's really nice. I hope it comes with a surfing stand like the HG kit.

Excellent news and perhaps the start of an american OVA revolution.

If bandai wants to sell more robots then they need to make them more interesting. I would welcome with open arms both a Sentinel anime series and as many respective toy lines as bandai wants to throw at us.

Yeah, I'm starting to get bored as well, if it's going somehwere then it's sure as hell taking it's time about it. The fact that it's only (basically) one robot doesn't help it, the brave series were quite repetative when looked at overall but they kept it interesting by constantly introducing new robots and weapons. It's still flash as hell and I'm going to keep watching untill the point where I actually forget to watch a newly downloaded episode.

Nothing new on the Garland, it wasn't at the Shizouka hobby show and might not be shown again untill Yamato have gotten the 1/48 GBP done and dusted.

Oooh, did you get a chance to play it? That and Shadow of Collosus were the best games I saw reported on. Metroid 3 and Burnout Revenge also piqued my interest.

Revenge of the Sith ROCKED! (spoiler free)
Fort Max replied to 1st Border Red Devil's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It opened here last night in the UK and I went with a bunch (21 to be exact) of people from my office. And of those about 9 (including myself) loved it to bits and appreciated the stunning effects and visualiation of events referred to in the OT. About 3 totally hated it and felt very annoyed, 5 were left feeling undecided and the rest I haven't talked to yet. I particualry loved the mecha designs in this film, Ep1 never had anything that really grabbed me, Ep2 started to get some good stuff towards the end but this one has some blinding ships and vehicles. I also really liked Grievous, for a filler character he was really cool and well done and far more entertaining then Darth Maul. Looking forward to getting this at christmas. -
And Nintendo continues to have my respect and adoration but whether they'll get my money still remains to be seen. It's sounding good though, I don't think I'd be able to resist playing so many classics on one box.

Hang about, I haven't seen 6 yet.

That's nice, yet another subtle clever little detail. Still anxious to see the actual pads though.

I think it's far too early to be making this decision but if we're just talking boxes then I like Revolution the most. But my friends all swear by Halo live and keep moaning at me to buy a Xbox so I may be considering 360. I won't buy more then two though.

I don't like the look of the thing much, standing up I thought it was a subwoofer from a 3rd rate instant surround sound kit. Laying down I thought it was a printer... The controller looks quite unconfortable to boot as many have allready said. That said, I swore against PS2 when it came out but there's one sitting beside me now none the less.

It's a very pretty box and I apprecaite the simplicity aspect, I'm forever tripping over joypad cables and disc trays just irritate me. Wireless controllers and internet as standard is also a very good move. I just hope they have some class games lined up for it.

I think that's probabaly the "Aquarion from 2000 years ago" gashapon figure that was included with the ltd ed of dvd 1 in japan. The chogokin figure is huge, each individual ship is bigger then an msia. http://www.toysdaily.com/01news/200505/273a.jpg

Just saw 3 and I'm really liking this series so far, it's great fun. Rentons reactions to the reality of Gekko State were priceless.

Best (new) Anime Series You´ve seen lately
Fort Max replied to Aegis!'s topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I was only watching Destiny, Aquarion, Eureka 7 and Bleach but now I am defintaley going to check out Basilisk. Also looking forward to FMP TSR, I was really dissapointed by Fumuffos crinimal lack of robots. Finally there is a super robot wars OVA, the first ep of which is out fairly soon to look forward to. -
No, I think Kawamori is purely the mecha designer for this series.
