Gundam girls seem almost tastefull compared to those.

Takara has the turbo custom scopedog planned for 1st quarter of next year along with Bersaga and Diving Beetle.

I've seen two episodes of this so far and it's not bad at all. Not sure I like the mechs in this one but it's all about the characters.

These figures are quite nice, I have three of them so far. Like HCMP's they come with the figure mostly made up and everything else ready painted on sprues. They're not as techinically advanced as Bandai's line but they're meant as more of a retro feel toy then any kind of mini high end figure. The... er, collectors box for the ZAKU's is a bit odd but nice all the same. Not sure that I'd actually want to put toy boxes on a shelf like dvd's or that I'll go to the trouble of fetching Impulses box out of storage. The Zeta is just awesome, the inclusion of the mega launcher surprised me as well but it's probably just becuase Hyaku Shiki's one was left out. The only quibble I have with the Zeta is that the rifle barrel has to be swapped for the short version, after doing all that great work it seems like a bit of a cop out. Not that it will put me off of course.

I wouldn't be buying Gashapon if there were any other alternatives, Bandai could make a small fortune with kits similar to their Gasaraki ones, HCMP's or even ASiA's. Thanks a lot Drifand, You say they're relatively rare but after messing around with the kanji I got from ZP in YHJ's search engine I mangaed to find a fair few up for auction at pretty good prices. Ironically, the only one I couldn't find was the one that started it all off. I'll see how I get on with the MKII I've put in for a bid on first but that Knight Gundam MKIII is pretty good looking as well, never even seen that design before. I'm not put off by the fantasy theme, I think it's kind of cool of bandai to do something so silly with a brand that usually takes itself so seriously. It's almost a shame that Bandai is so focused on accuracy with the mainstream Gundam goods. I'd be quite happy to see them do something like this again in the future but using the HCMP's as the base figures. btw, Do you have the DX Musha ZZ? I saw one for auction, the tray looked as though it was misisng a few bits but there was a seperate pic of some more parts. If you've got one would you mind taking a look and seeing if you can tell whether it's all there? I'll pm you the link if you will, I need to find it again first...

Finally! Thank you very much Grand cannon. Looks like they've still got a little tweaking to do but it's looking very impressive and dare I say it... playable. The ZAKU's will make for a nice set in the interim.

Drifand, do you have any idea where one could find a command Gundam? That thing is awesome but I can't find any kind of listing on HLJ, defunct or otherwise. edit: All I could find on yahoo japan is 2 x boxed Knight Gundams, one for 23'000 and one for 5'000. Is it worth 5k yen? Further edit: I found some more & cheaper to boot. The ZZ one looks like loads of fun but was misisng parts so I've asked celga to bid for a boxed and complete samurai armour MkII starting at 1'500yen. I saw, Knight Gundam, MKII, Zeta and ZZ, couldn't find one of those command ones though.

They still to do the technical and imagination sets.

The HCM Pro Rey and Lunamaria Zaku varients have been confirmed for production, to be released in january and sold as a two pack for 3'990yen, http://www.mpsnet.co.jp/hobbynet/ProductOne.aspx?pno=18360 Which is nice but the Zeta has been a no show again this month.

What is the MKII's base meant to be?

A fully transforming Zeta should be up next, there has been concept line art and such in the magazines for the last couple of months. I have this months Dengeki hobby on order as it should have some properly juicy pictures. edit: I scoured TBDX.com but none of the Zeta sneaky peaks I've seen in the past are still online. I'm sure I posted about that list on here before but I'll do it again now breifly, The top choice is so obviously going to happen, I only hope they make a Meteor to go with it. Nu Gundam or Turn A would be my picks from that list, S Freedom is done and Zeta is on the way. I voted for Gundam Double X, it came way down around the late 60's iirc...
